Lifetime Rating for Necrosausage!: 7.2963 |  | This is a funny game I just had in NWTR - being Zerg the first time in a month or so :)
The Map: Dire Straits
In the top left starting position:
Necrosausage! - chosen Pro... err.. Zerg - white
and in the bottom left starting position:
znzf - chosen Zerg - green
"What does a Zerg do on islands? - Right. Hydra drop. Even against Zerg? Sure. Err... at least I think so, and Hydra drop is the only strat I know with Zerg on island :-/" - thinking that, I started off with the typical double Lair Hydra Drop build order
My 2nd scouting Overlord found him in the bottom left posion doing something completetly different: morphing a Spire!
"LOL. My Hydras will shred his Mutas" I thought
The game went pretty quiet, till he tried to attack with about 6 Mutas - my peon line was protected by a Spore Colony (those things really eat Mutas for breakfast and lots of them :), so I didnt have to worry and the Mutas retreated.
Ok, letsgo and kill this Muta-wannabe - I loaded up 4 Overlords with mainly Hydras, but also a few Lings, and headed for his main.
However, my Overlords where soon to be found by Mutas, and so I was forced to unload my cargo on the left middle island, but not before losing a Hydra-filled Overlord to his Mutas :(
After chasing his Mutas away, the remaining Overlords headed towards his main, but the few Hydras were simply not enough to do any damage.
"This aint as easy as I hoped" I thought, and so I decided I would get myself an extra mineral boost and xpanded on the top right start position - his scouting Muta found me hoo late - a Nydus and two Spores already where up and this xpansion got running...
"Ok, Im ahead in minerals, lets take the fight to the enemy" I thought, and so I filled 7 or 8 Overlords with Hydras/Lings (about 3:1), and headed towards his peon line
The Hydras dropped in his unexpecting peons, and BLOOD spitted all over - however, it was no Drone blood but the blood of my Hydras, who were totally shredded by CRACKLINGS!
DAMN! This guy went Mutaling on ISLANDS! What should I do now?
Not knowing what to do, I just filled another 6-7 Overlords with Hydras and again headed towards his base - he had not xpanded yet, that gave me hope...
And this is were the slaughter begins!

My Overlords met a sizeable force of green Overlords heading towards my main, and this is where I got the great idea: "Why defending my base - Ill kill his main, he will kill my main, but Ill have an xpansion left!"
So, the carnage took place - my Hydraling force met no resistance in his base while his cracklings landed in my defensless main base

Necrosausage!: ":)"
Half his main were razed, when he uploaded his cracklings and headed towards my xpansion to finish the carnage
*he is killing my xpansion*
Necrosausage!: "DAMN"
However, it still seemed like a win, because my Hydras only had to finish 2 Evo Chambers to kill his last buildings on his main island, when he said something that made my blood freeze:
znzf: "Mwahahahahaha"
znzf: "I have lots of Hatcheries left"
znzf: "I win!"
Necrosausage!: "noooooo"
And this is what happened - I killed his last EvoChambers, nothing happened, he razed my xpansion and
Necrosausage! was eliminated

Necrosausage! eventually owned znzs in the rematch :)
Lessons learned: (actually its more a question)
- Is Zerg vs Zerg on island also Mutaling? Or did I just suck too much and Hydras were the better choice?
