So I'm really bored, and Bnet's shot to hell (like usual), so I decide to make a game. 1v1 or 2v2 NO BGH, I call it, and I get a player. Wee. He's 67-32-16 so I figure he might be a challenge. I decide on going BCs.
A few zerglings come out of his base as my scv scouts it. Mmm. Zerg. I move the scv to bottom left to make sure he doesn't expand near there, then later I make the foolish decision of having him attack the zling stationed there, and his boozed-up ass (NO I'm not going to name him!!) goes boom. Oh well.
He attacks with zlings, and the bunker in the middle of my base wastes them.
I make a CC early, to expand to the middle, but after his zlings start harassing me and see the scv building the CC, I decide to just take my natural. Then, I comsat him. Battle Shot #1 shows what he has: an evo chamber, three underused hatcheries, and some hydras.
After seeing that, I decide to make more tanks. I position them so if he runs in, his ground forces die. Then I really do take the middle, using a dropship, I put three marines, an scv, and a tank in there, and build an expansion. After comsatting his natural, finding some hydras, a couple of spores, and a sunken, I decide to do some damage by putting four marines, a bunker, and a tank on the ledgeoverlooking it. My marines find an Overlord in their way, and use it as target practice. Since I know he knows I'm here, I just siege the tank, put the marines in good spots, start building a bunker anyway, and massacre his base. I do lots of damage before his hydras eventually come up the ramp and kill my troops, and I had to cancel the unfinished bunker. :(
I continued to scout for potential expansions with a dropship and a vulture. He attacks my middle expansion with two Mutas; the three upgraded and stimmed marines kill them both because he's stupid and aims for my tank. He tries the same shit I did to him from the ledge, but his hydras could only kill my refinery. By this point, I was making BCs, and Yamatoed a hydra just to let him know I had it. :)
Then he made the stupidest mistake of the game! He ran his hydras under my tanks, shown in Battle Shot #2.
I was laughing my ass off when he did it again, shown in Battle Shot #3!
I graciously and accurately informed him of his intellectual status. My tank commanders, whom I routinely supply with Jolt Cola, got good target practice out of it. Then, he got a bit smarter. He dropped two overlords filled with Hydras on the lower-right corner of my expansion, killing the CC and the Comsat. He picked all of them back up and I Yamatoed an Overlord, killing it and four hydras at the same time. He dropped the other Overlord's cargo right in the middle range of my Tanks! I mentioned that he was still an idiot. :)
The rest was easy. Three BCs and two Tanks mopped up his expansion, slamming the last of his Hydras into the ground and blowing away his Hatchery and Drones. He left without a word. The Terrans triumph again!
Assorted Crap:
MAKE UPGRADES! I had three Armories that game. My Tanks and BCs were all heavily upgraded. He had no numerical upgrades at all, even though he did have an evo chamber. And he went straight Hydra, too. What a dumbass.
Font colors are annoying to keep making again and again :) In case someone out there doesn't know, you do a font color in hexadecimal format, the first two the amount of red, the second two green, and the third two blue. If you don't know how to do it, get the source off the page, you bozos. Also, the assorted slashes created by the broken "preview report" function really screw your colors up; don't rely on it.
Also, forget the uploading battle shots feature. It simply doesn't work for everyone.
And an unrelated note... I'm going to Community College (screams heard in the background) this fall, and I'm trying to decide between Computer Science and a more code and tech-heavy computer technology course. If anyone has input, I'd love to hear it. |
