If you're picking a course of study, I would suggest the more theoretical/difficult one. It's useful to learn C++, but it's eternally useful to learn the theory of computer programming, what is an NP complete problem, and stuff like that.
Pick the course of study that opens more doors. Avoid the specialized narrow path..
let's see, bad starcraft analogy time.
Picking a specialized course of study is like going hard goliaths. It might be great for the current battle, but in the long run you are going to wish you had more. Picking more theoretical studies is like expanding. You might feel you have less practical knowledge, but it will most definitely pay off.
I studied math in case you're interested, and now work in computer science.

the only thing that pisses me off about this report (besides the blatant overuse of colors and all) is that all you do is insult your opponent telling him how much he sucks and how dumb he is. I'd just like to know if this makes you feel big, and if so, i'll cut you down 1v1 anyday. Some of us use less focus on insulting the ones who lack skill, and use more on gaining skills ourselves. Sure, i dont like newbies making fools of themselves while i'm playing either, but give your ego a rest.

(In case this DOESN'T come out, I'm trying to put in the HTML code for colors... Look at the source code and you'll see what the code should look like)
Just take out the "!" at the front and replace "This color is ..." with whatever message you want that color.

Gray: !<font color="c9c9c9">This color is gray</font>

Actually, my Brown isn't really dark enough... <font color="a3a300">here's a better one</font>. And yes, I admit, I overdid the colors. But doesn't it look nifty? :) Try to avoid staring at the <font color="e9e900">shiny</font> stuff if you wanna read this one, folks. Read it line by line and it looks a lot better :D
BTW, the guy really was an <font color="d000d0">idiot</font>. If he had come through the <font color="ff0000">choke</font> just once, and realized it was futile, I wouldn't have pressed the issue (or laughed so hard) but he made the same costly mistake twice in a row. And no, he wasn't a newbie, newbies don't walk around with records of 67-32-16. So he was a genuine <font color="d000d0">idiot</font>.
