"I didn't expect to be beaten by someone part of "a brand new melee gaming clan" who play "all sorts of maps, preferably LT style", but still, more ridiculous stuff happens every day, I mean, I have a losing record to Keanu_Reaver for crying out loud"

Prologue

It was long before the reign of man; before the first Elves arrived on Eldune; before the tunnels of the mighty dwarfs; or even the great battle, between the gods that controlled Eldune. When it happened there was something of great evil being forged, something that would set forth the events 20,000 years later.

What was forged you ask? Well, it was something of unimaginable power; something in the wrong hands could change the past, alter the present and destroy the future. It could summon beasts of unstoppable might, to do the summoner’s bidding, the great evil has had many different shapes over time, but the most common form, was a staff, it was called ” Staff of Necro.”

It was a cold, and windy day; the wind was chilling the bone. And there was no sun in sight, there was rain and lightning on the horizon, and in the middle of a blood soaked field that three brave warriors took on the very first Necromancer; there was one fighter from each race. The first was the first son of the King of man, named Titan, with only a shield which face was full of arrows, and a trusty half broken sword. The High Elf warrior Lygos, who was clad in an old Fashion elvish cloak, which thanks to the great battle that had just took place, was left in shreds, with him, his trusty bow and a quiver, once full of arrows, of which he now had 4, he also had a dagger made in dwarf fashion.
Then there was the Master Dwarf Marlin Graybeard, who like all dwarfs, was short, barely 3 feet tall, and was addicted to beer. He had a shirt of Chain mail, which was handed down, from his grandfather, to him (unlike human made chain mail, chain mail that was made by the dwarfs was supposed to be indestructible) and of course his mighty dwarf axe, in which where notches from the resent battle.

With the slaying of the last battle ridden orc, with only the three warriors left standing, as well as the Necromancer. A great battle for control raged on, Lygos rapidly fired his arrows at the Necromancer, which where then burned to a crisp in mid flight, by the intense heat of the “Staff Of Nercro”. Next it was Titan’s turn, him using all the skill and energy he had left, to parley with the Necromancer but was soon slain by him. Now with the Necromancer thinking that there was only one person left to fight with, he hastily attacked the dwarf, who was soon dead, thanks to a slash to the stomach and with that and the chain mail fell in peaces. With the death of the second and final hero he started to cast a spell to summon eternal darkness, when it happened, faster then an eye could see, a dagger came flying at him, all of a sudden there was a crash of lightning and the Necromancer was gone And the almighty “Staff Of Nercro” dropped to the ground, the dagger then hit a tree, With that Lygos picked up the “Staff Of Nercro” and the dwarf dagger and was off to the palace of the King of the humans to report his dyer news about the battle but most importantly about the kings own son.

Now some say perhaps if the “Staff Of Nercro” were given to the elves instead of the King of man, it would not have been forgot about. But like all things when it comes to man it slipped into the past, and the world forgot.

Chapter 1
The Beginning

It was a bright and sunny day, with bright white clouds, and no rain anywhere in sight.
That two High elves of the great city *Ajan, foresaw the horrible events that where about to unfold. So they immediately called a meeting of the council of elders, to discuss this newfound information.

“Tell me, what did you see?” asks Lorlder, the chief of the council of elders. With a look of fright.

“ Are you wish to know?” cried one of the visionary elves

“Yes we want to know.?” asked Lorlder.

“It burns, even thinking about it burns the throat, and stings the eyes,” cried one of the visionary elves.

“What burns?” asked Lorlder.

“Its…” cried another one of the visionary elves, then pauses for a moment.

“It’s a Necromancer and it is setting the lands of Ajan- and *Galadâ, a blaze”

“The Staff Of Nercro has returned, it can’t be” choked out Lorlder in a horse voice.

“What is wrong Lorlder?” asked one of the high council members.

“Its returned, that accursed object has returned” cried the council of elders.
”It slaughtered millions of elves, before you destroyed it!”

“No I didn’t destroy it, as it can’t be destroyed by any means,” said Lorlder “even the last magic’s of the ancient ones, where not strong enough”

“Quickly send our fastest elf to the human castle.” said Lorlder.

“And I will tell you the story “ said Lorlder

At that a guard dashed out of the room to get the fastest elf, to go to the human castle.

(Start Story)

It was 2000 years ago today; that we, The Alliance, discovered that there was something… Foul in the air, we where getting reports about trouble starting in the west, so we sent a small group of High elves to deal with it, but none of out brethren came back, so we sent a small group out to see what had happened to them, and what they saw was skeletons and orcs, by the thousands, and then we saw them our brethren, but something was wrong, they where wearing black cloaks, instead of the silver ones, the scouts normally wear, we think they had been brain washed though the magic of the necromancer, now forced to do his bidding, they gave him the way to the elvish capital Galadâ.

Now if that was not bad enough, when they assaulted Galadâ, they started to burn the trees, and the only protection we, the elves had at that time. Lucky for us we had a back route out of the city, that lead far enough away that we could avoid further danger. Or so we thought, It was a small path, full of densely packed trees, but with the fire and the war around us, it seemed like our only hope, so we went into the path, but all of a sudden the wind picked up, weather it was through some sort of magic, or other means, it quickly swept around us, pouring black smoke into our lungs, and heat onto our skin. Incasing, us into what most of the elven people though was our tomb, but with luck the wind died down, right before it reached us. We lost many people that day. And even in the days to follow, on the march down the path, there where still casualties, through hunger mostly, but there was the occasional flame and fire, but there was nothing we could do. But we kept going, even when things looked its bleakest, there was always the glimmer of hope. But during those days, our only constant companion was guilt, for the loved ones we lost, and fear, because we didn’t know what lies ahead. But still we marched, so proud, and always knowing our goal.

So from then on, we traveled to the human city. It took us two weeks to get there, and it was not an easy hike, we went there to warn them of the attack. But it turns out that they already knew, as the dwarfs were there also, as they had also been attacked, so over beer we decided that we should stand up for ourselves, so we got ready for battle, it was just over a month till the final preparations where made ready. Once that was done, we each chose our best warrior to lead our people to battle. The champions where, the first son, of the King of man, named Titan with a grace and daring stronger rivaled by no human. The second was a dwarf named Marlin Graybeard, as quick tempered and mighty as any dwarf has ever been or ever was. And the third was Lygos, the best archer, which the elf people have ever seen.

It was about dawn the following morning that the armies set out for what they thought would be an easy battle. Thinking that the wisdom of the elves, the brute strength of the dwarfs and the courage of man, would get the through anything and during a war of that magnitude all of those things count.

When they finally got to the battle about two weeks later, the armies of the alliance where well rested, when the battle began it was easy pickings, as skeleton warriors are easy to kill, as they are nothing but a sword and a bunch of bones with rags on them. But even so there still were casualties, not many, but just enough to make the battle with the orcs completely even.

Orcs one on one are dangerous. Orcs are green skinned and about 6 feet tall and have huge axes, but in huge numbers they are deadly, but lucky for the alliance that orcs are slow and stupid. So as the numbers dwindled down with every passing hour. Soon there was only the three champions and 6 orcs left, all of which where tired and hungry, and the Necromancer was standing there laughing at them, but soon the orcs where vanquished.

The only people left were the champions and the vile Necromancer. The champions seeing the danger of the necromancer, decided to end the misery forever but not with out a great cost. The death of the king’s son and the death of the dwarf, Marlin Graybeard
The vile necromancer was thought to have been killed by Lygos, until today.

(End story)

At that everyone stood up and left the chamber room, in order to ponder the great tale that was just told, and to reflect.

When the last person left the room, Lorlder stood up and walked towards the open balcony, and there he stood, looking over the landscape, look and seeing, the children playing, and the adults laughing, and seeing the other elves talking to the trees, and just in the horizon, he saw it, a world of blue, it was the sea, it was calm and peaceful. Knowing in his heart, that war would soon be upon them.

“As your can see, Since then the balance of power has shifted, until eventually just like in the old times we will have chaos again” Said Lorlder softly, even though he was talking to himself with out even realizing it. “ Because like Time it self, history will repeat itself, and no mater what we do, no mater what we say there can only be one out come, War.”

All of a sudden like someone, waking from a dream, he tried to hold on to what he had just said, but it slipped slowly into the back of his mind and disappeared. He then looked into the sky and saw the sun setting moving slowly, as if waiting for him to go downstairs, so it could start night. Then with pleasure he realized that it was time for the festivities, (which they had every night, before and after supper.) With that he left his chamber room, and went, and joined the council in the festivities. They where soon, all drunk with beer, and they started to sing a favorite.

The war was on us.
The death of the world is upon us.
There lied the world’s greatest test.

To show the world what it could be.
To show the world what it should be.
To show the world what it would be.
There lied the world’s greatest test.

When the great battle was said and done.
Unfortunately the death total was not one.
When the great battle was said and done.
The World was a lot more fun.

There was great evil in the land.
It seemed like an hourglass half full of sand.
The necromancer seemed to have been dammed.
But he was slain by a hero of nether, neither dwarf nor man.

With the ending of the song, the bell for supper was rung, Then the elves when to eat.
But in a deep, dark corner, in a robe of pure black there sat, a mysterious figure.
