Sabotage proudly presents...
Hello. Sabotage here. This is report number 3. So. It was once again
a Friday night. I just finished my dinner, and was in desperate need of
a game. I got to the ~nh channel, and a few guys were there. After a
few games of being owned, I decided to play with a new group. The
group consisted of Nal_raar, Flavorofyellow, and Zombo_. Decent enough.
We did a 2v2. I was on Nal_raar's team for both games. Now, get ready
for Sabotage report #3!!!!
 Flavorofyellow
got white terran at the north base.
nal_raar got orange
protoss at the east base. dogfood9
got blue terran at the southern base, while
Zombo_ got brown protoss at
the west base.
As you already know it is 2v2.
GL HF
nal_raar starts with a
pylon, gateway, pylon, assimilator build with 10 probes supporting it.
His teammate,
dogfood9
, makes the 2 supply depot+barracks wall to stop any
early intruders. The other team was different.
Flavorofyellow
makes 2 supply depot, 2 barracks, academy,
and refinery build. His ally,
Zombo_ , goes late gateway with
only 9 probes and a pylon. He is distracted because he has been busy
using his probe harassing
dogfood9
's scvs while they are trying to make the buildings.
Even more gayness comes to hand.
nal_raar uses a
probe to piss off
Zombo_ . Also,
Flavorofyellow
uses a scv to piss off
nal_raar. in other
words, everyone is harassing someone, except for
dogfood9
. (Its crazy isn't it)
dogfood9
, with good resources, created a factory.
His ally,
nal_raar, has a
cybernetics core along with a second gateway, a forge, and two
photon cannons. On the other team,
Zombo_ has made an assimilator
while his ally continues making scvs.
FIVE MINUTES
For offensive move #1,
Zombo_ 's team looks to attack
nal_raar. The
attack consists of 4 zealots, 7 marines, and 2 scv. One marine goes
up ahead to see what the defense is. The marine gets killed too fast,
so Flavorofyellow
makes a bunker. The bunker is to keep
nal_raar "contained"
.
After a few seconds, it gets worse.
During this siege,
nal_raar had made
it all the way up to templar archives. The other team's
Zombo_ had a cybernetics core
and a robotics facility.
Now, what do you think
dogfood9
has been up to? He had a dropship now, and was
starting to prepare a drop on
Zombo_ .
On the first drop,
dogfood9
drops only 2 siege tanks with siege on the protoss
base. The siege tanks are assaulted by a large number of probes. the
tanks are forced to back off, but they won't just give up yet.
(Btw
nal_raar is making
dragoons so he can make a giant breakout, and dropped a dark templar
on Zombo_ )
dogfood9
's Second Drop consists of 3 siege tanks, 4
marines, and 3 firebats. The attack blasts away the remains of a
photon cannon, a robotics facility,
and a few probes who were brave enough
to attack.
All the way from
nal_raar's
prison,
Zombo_ 's zealots come to take
out the drop. the firebats make a good fight, but the zealots
outnumbered them by a lot.
The zealots corner the siege tanks and slice them to bits. On the
other side of the map,
nal_raar breaks
out of his containment zone and attacks
Flavorofyellow
. The attack is all out dragoons.
Even more good news for
nal_raar's team.
dogfood9
drops 2 siege tanks, 7 firebats, a vulture, and 2
marines on
Zombo_ 's protoss ass. The drop
meets up with the zealots but the firebats burn them. This spells
defeat
for Zombo_ . He leaves, and so does
his partner. The game ends at 12:23
GAME TWO
After the game we do a rematch.
Game two has the same teams, but different positions. Of course.
So anyway, dogfood9
gets blue zerg at the east base. He is allied with
nal_raar who is
orange zerg at the west base. zombo_
got red protoss at the south base.
Flavorofyellow
was teal terran and got the
north base. THis game, the strategies are a little different.
zombo_
starts off with a classic dual gateway build. He
sends a probe to
nal_raar's base,
but it dies to probes eventually.
Flavorofyellow walls himself
in with double supply depot and barracks. He decides not to scout.
dogfood9
doesn't worry about early defence and does a extractor, pool, and
expansion hatchery build.
nal_raar made a
hatchery on top of the ramp and made a few sunkens. This walled him in.
zombo_
has 5 zealots so far, and is making a forge. His
ally has an academy, with some m&m. They both attack
nal_raar's base.
the marines move swiftly out of the way of the cliff sunkens, and
shoot a new hatchery, but there are even more sunkens morphing below
the cliff, and eventually, the marines die. The zealots come too late
and get murdered before doing any considerable damage. However,
during this attack,
zombo_
did something that hurt
nal_raar,
and slow down his production. This is what he did.
zombo_
finished a cybernetics core and a stargate and
pumped out his first corsair. The corsair hunted a few overlord. Things
looked bad for
nal_raar, until
he got a hydralisk den and got a single hydralisk to kill the corsair.
He also had been making fresh new zerglings.
dogfood9 gathered
up some hydralisk and attacked
zombo_
to make up for the loss. A lot of zealots attacked
the hydralisk. He danced the hydralisk around, and bought time. Then,
nal_raar's lings
arrived. They and the hydralisk took care of the zealots, wiped out a
just formed nexus. The army went all the way to the main base, then
Flavorofyellow floods in
with those deadly marines+medics.
MAn i hate m&m... ruins everything
dogfood9 still has
a trick up his sleeve though. During the battle, he made a spire. He
started a few mutalisk. There were 6. He went for
Flavorofyellow's scvs.
The bad news is that he had missle turrets. The mutalisk retreat, and
wait.
At this time,
nal_raar had just
made mutalisk and joined his teammate in attacking
Flavorofyellow's infantry.
The mutalisk eventually lost, but they did some good damage.
zombo_
has been quiet. He was attempting to attack
dogfood9 even though
he has mutalisk. I think thats crazy, but its ok. The attack kills
a sunken, and the mutalisk come in. The zealots know they can't win,
so they retreat.
nal_raar already
has a hive at this point, and is morphing a greater spire. He has an
expo up and running.
To keep the other team occupied, and try to make them not advance,
dogfood9 creates a
control group of hydralisk and attacks
zombo_
. Too bad for him, there was a control group of
zealots there too, which flattened the hydralisk.
zombo_
, after losing a nexus twice in a row, had replaced
it again. He starts some corsair in case of air attacks. corsair and
zealots he pretty much has.
Flavorofyellow is going
all-out m&m. Him and
zombo_
prepare to attack
nal_raar again. They
send their guys to the meeting place when all of a sudden,
zombo_
sees all the probes at his expansion popping. Yes,
indeed.
nal_raar's guardians
have arrived, and were attacking. He sent in his corsair, and almost
killed all the devours, when a mutalisk relief force from
dogfood9 comes in and
sweeps out the corsairs.
The expansion is now down, and that is not a
good sign for zombo_
.
Flavorofyellow tries to
counter. The zealots and marines attack
nal_raar's base...
After
nal_raar enjoys
the marine burgers, 3 suspicious dropships come to
dogfood9's base.
The drop is marines+tanks. It destroys the hive, but is quick work
for the guardians.
Then, the guardians head for
Flavorofyellow's base.
The guardians seem to have no predators, so they have no worries.
The marines and stuff try to do something, but guardians own almost
all ground, so the marines are anihalated. This leaves a hole in the
terran defence. And, to make a satisfactory ending,
dogfood9 floods in
dozens of cracklings (with no ups just adrenaline glands).
