- A Game To Remember -
Hello, And welcome to my first BattleReport. Where you will see lots of happy bunnies....
BEING SHOT DOWN VICOUSLY BY MARINES! Ahem, yes, now enough with
embarassing myself.. To the battlereport!
Game - 1
Ok, first things first, let's meet our players.
First, there is Bird-Chaos, Known as I, in black (because white on white sometimes makes
people unable to see it.. for some reason, probably the same reason "The Lost Temple" is
lost) An extremly horrible SC player, who, unfortunately, is me.
And, Our next player is...
Next, Is Protic Who is chosen terran at 3:00 and will colored a
dark purple for the rest of this BR
Ok, now that we've met our players, onto the game.
I start out with a
9 pylon
10 gate
11 assimalator
12 core
Then another pylon and double gate
Protic does a typical terran wallin with a
10 depot
11 rax
12 depot
13 refinery
And then he goes for a double factory build.
We both scout slightly late though still recive much needed recon, there's not much worth
telling after this until we hit the 3:00 mark, where the first action comes.
The first action comes when I have a zealot and a dragoon and he has 2 vults with mines.
as I run up towards his base, I see his 2 vults passing my small attack force and run pasthis
vults with my zealot and goon. His vults go on a bit before turning around and attacking the
zealot. The zealot attacks back though while the goon runs up the ramp. The goon meets a
marine at the top of the ramp and quickly disposes of it. Then the goon starts to attack the
depot. After a couple shots the vultures decide to go after the goon instead of the zealot and
run up the ramp into their base a tiny bit. then they lay mines which one of finds my goon and
depletes it's shield, not to mention a bit of it's health. Then I suicide my zealot into the other
mine just as the vult was laying it, causing a beautiful show, which neither of them would
come out of. The other vult then goes for my goon and lays a mine next to it, resulting in a
explosion that kills both the goon and the vult. The action rested... for a minute or so
About 30-40 seconds later, 2 of my goons sprint up to Protic's
Main where they see a vult laying a mine. I wonder how to get past the mine for about
3 seconds then come up with a brillant idea, which is explained in the picture below.
But, when they got up the ramp, both goons were liquified(literally) by 3 mines waitng for
them at the top.
Now, I reliazed that his base would be easily destroyed with a cloaked unit, now only if I
could find a cloaked unit...... Of course! Arbitors! But, then, I became lazy with tech and just
went to DTs.
My first squadron(2) of DTs worked out well, they killed 10 scvs and 2 vults before dying to
mines, the 2nd squadron(2), Only killed a vult. After this rush, we both build up and there is no
action for at least 5 minutes. In those 5 minutes expand I build up 8-9 goons and an observer.
But as I was preparing to attack, 4 vults rushed right past my goons and into my probe line.
My goons came up to rescue my probes but not before the vults had killed 5.
Then I attacked, thinking he was weak from his vult rush and sped up his ramp with 8 goons,
but to my suprise, there were 3 tanks on his choke and before I could run away, I lost all my
goons to tank shells. It was quiet for a bit, so... I think it's time for an update!
Update
Macro Count
Protic - 4 factories - 7 tanks - 3 vults
Me - 5 gateways - 10 speedlots - 6 DTs - 4 goons - 1 Expansion
Back to the game!
After a 5 minute rest, I charge 7 of my speedlots into his tanks, killing 1. That tank will never
live to see the light of victory! Bwhahahahahahaha! Erm.. let's just get on with the game now.
Right after this attack, he starts his tank push and seiges my front entrance. I charge my
whole army in which consits mostly of dragoons with some zealots and a DT or 2, but only
damaged the fortification a bit by killing a few golis and a tank or 2. Minimap Update time!

After I double expand I build 5 more gate bringing my macro count to 10 gates, then I attack
his push with a small army, but fail miserably.>After this, I keep the pressure on his tank push
by constantly attacking it, with goons and DTs mostly.I finally break through and go for his
base, which I destroy with about 50-60 mixed toss units, GG.
