Note: This is Part 2 of the Deja Vu series. Please read Part One first. Since a lot of people thought that Deja Vu was too short, I decided to expand it a bit. I'd appreciate it if you looked at Deja Vu Part 1 and 2 as one story. Thanks.
Deja Vu - Part 2
Written By: Serious
"Ah.. Ah did it. Ah saved th' base!" Sithicus stared at the corpse in front of his SCV, eyes wide. He had never killed a man before, but now that he done it, he was a hero.
"No wunner 'em marines always are called 'eros. They kill people." He muttered softly. But his thoughts were interrupted by another voice.
"This is Admiral Bishop. I heard you saved our base today, SCV"
"Ah.. Ah did.." Sithicus said, stunned. He was talking to a high-ranking official. Admiral Bishop was the tank commander.
"Go to Factory B-22. My assistant will meet you there."
Sithicus piloted his SCV towards the Factories, and as he did, he saw one of the marines stand straight and salute him, and one of them even fired their rifle into the air. Sithicus waved from inside his SCV,
"Hey! Ah saved alla your lives!" He yelled at them, but they didn't seem to hear him. It didn't matter anyways, because he was already inside the factory.
The factory was a huge building, filled with the mechanical whirrs of robots and machinery. Standing just inside the entrance, Sithicus watched as a Tank was just getting its last coat of paint. Again, a small feeling of pride swelled up in him. Why, if he hadn't saved the base, then that new tank would have never got that shiny coat of paint. It might've just sat as an unpainted tank for the rest of.. forever.
His eyes strayed down to the floor, where a man was shouting and waving at him. Sithicus smiled and waved back, "Hello t'you too!" He called, when the man opened up a radio and shouted in it,
"SITHICUS TORMANT! GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE IMMEDIATELY!"
"Sorry sir! Ill be down in a moment sir!" Shaken, Sithicus quickly undid his restrainer and climbed out of his SCV hastily (and almost falling and breaking his back several times). When he reached the ground, Sithicus made a hasty salute and stood as straight as he could,
"Sithicus Tormant! uh.. At .. attention.. Sah!" He said, and saluted again. The man in front of him looked over him with a grim smile. He wore a pair of orange-tinted sunglasses, and had a strong jaw hidden behind a short brown beard.
"Sithicus Tormant.." He said in a slow, drawn-out tone. Sithicus shifted his weight from foot to foot uneasily, trying to look into the man's eyes (but ending up focusing on his rather large nose),
"Uh.. that's me, si-"
"Don't talk unless asked to talk."
"But y'jus' did, sir. Y' said mah nam-"
"Shut up!"
"Yes sir."
The man paced slowly in front of Sithicus, looking over the tall, thin SCV pilot with quiet disdain.
"Sithicus Tormant.." He repeated at length, "Do you know who I am?"
Sithicus thought for a moment,
"Uh.. yer .. yer.."
"Corporal Blake. And you are my new slave."
"Your new wut, sir?"
"I said shut up!"
"sorry sir." Sithicus said softly, cringing a bit under Blake's hard stare.
"You're going to need some training, boy." The corporal said softly, frowning,
"But not now. You're needed on the battlefield."
Sithicus blinked, stuttering,
"Y'wut, sir? Ah.. Ah can't fight.. Ah mean, ah can fight but ah can't-"
"SHUT UP!"
"Yessir! Sorry sir, mah mom alwa's said ah can't control ma"
"SHUT UP YOU IMBECILE!"
"Sorry sir!! Ah didn't mean to sir!"
"SHUT UP! SHUT UP BEFORE I MAKE YOU SHUT UP!" Blake growled, his fist clenched. Sithicus decided it was a good time to be quiet.
Blake took a few seconds to calm down, his brow creased, teeth bared. Sithicus thought he looked rather like that dog he had at home.. Wait, Blake was speaking.
"-going to pilot a tank. Not drive or shoot, just tell your assistants what to do. Got it?"
"Ah.. yes sir." Sithicus said, even though he didn't really get it.
"Good. Now get out of my sight."
"Yessir! right away sir!" Sithicus saluted again before turning and beginning to climb his SCV.
"Not that you idiot! The tank! Get in the tank." Sithicus saw Blake curse under his breath as he ran towards the brand new shiny tank. Spotting a small ladder at the side of the tank, Sithicus began climbing, and found the paint sticking to his gloves.
"Aw shit.. Ma is gonna kill me when ah get back.." He muttered to himself, and entered the top of the tank.
Blake watched Sithicus quietly, his eyes narrowed, before turning on his radio.
"Admiral, are you sure Sithicus is the right man?"
The admiral paused.
"Blake, we shouldn't talk about this matter here. Come up to my office."
Blake nodded, looking at the tank quietly before pocketing his radio and leaving the factory.

Jim watched as a new Tank popped out of the factory, sighing. The nuke should have landed.
"Fuckin' SCV." He said, before blinking. Where WAS the SCV? A quick glance around the western plateau confirmed one thing - the SCV had disappeared.
"What the shit.." Jim scrolled over the base, looking for the stray SCV with 1 kill, but he couldn't find it. Instead, a tank caught his eye. It was just rolling out of the factory, but.. it seemed to have gotten stuck, and was spinning circles between two other tanks and a goliath. He clicked on the tank,
"What the hell are you doing....." His voice trailed off. The portrait for the Tank was empty.. But wait, no, there was a face, just getting up.
An SCV?
"Holy Shit." Jim paused the game and minimized it.
*~
Suddenly, everything froze. Sithicus' whole body became numb. What was happening? All he remembered was that he had pushed a stick by accident, and fallen.. and that he was getting up..
Then a startling thought came to his mind. What if he was dead? What if.. What if he had pressed a super-secret button on the tank that made everything freeze? What if it was the protoss..? Haha. No way, Protoss can't freeze things. Sithicus pushed that thought to the back of his educated mind.
*~
"Fuckin' bastards, I'll show them." Jim muttered. Everybody on the forum was laughing at him. One of them said 'I think we should do the b-word but I'm not going to say the b-word because I don't want to be b-worded.'. But Jim was going to show them. Maximizing Starcraft, he made sure he got a perfect picture of the SCV-photo. Just before he minimized, his finger slipped and hit the P button. The game continued.

"-said that I was going to kill a dozen zerg, and I'll do it."
"Says you, shithole. We're not even fighting the zerg today."
Sithicus watched as Rod and Tod argued among themselves, blinking. Was he the only one that noticed the freeze?
"Look fuckface! You're crashing into the factory!"
"Dammit! It's your fault." Rod stabilized the tank, and settled it by two others, before both of them turned to Sithicus.
"Hey, aren't you an SCV?"
"Ah.. Ah wuz an SCV.." Sithicus said. One of them handed him a headset with very big earmuffs,
"Put these on, buttmunch. We can't hear you." Sithicus understood why Tod said that when the earmuffs went over his ears - He couldn't hear anything!
"Uh.. Mr. Blake said Ah'm a Tank commander now.."
Rod threw up his arms,
"Great. That's fuckin' great. We've got a SCV for a commander."
"Better than that jerk Hollins. I bet he'd never even seen a tank before."
"At least he knew what he was doing! I'll prove it to you. Yo, SCV. What do we do next?"
Sithicus scratched his arm,
"Uh.. wait for commands?"
Tod laughed, and punched Rod in the arms.
"Right back at you, asshole."
"Shut up!" Yelled Rod,
"Yessir." Sithicus said, even though he hadn't said anything.
"I wasn't talking to you, idiot."
*crk* All tank units, report to the ramp *crk*
Sithicus nodded, and watched as all the other tanks began driving away. It took him a moment to realize what was happening,
"Uh.. aren't you guys gonna go to the ramp?"
"We're only doin' what you tell us to." Said Rod, yawning.
"Uh.. okay.. Drive to the ramp."
The tank began driving forwards, before it rammed into a barracks. The whole tank shook.
"Dammit Rod, what did you do that for?" Tod yelled. Rod shrugged,
"SCV here said drive to the ramp, not 'avoid the buildings and drive to the ramp'."
"Uh.. Okay.. Drive to the ramp an' avoid all th'buildings, too."
Rod complied, and soon they were at the ramp, stationed behind all the other tanks.
*crk* All tanks, seige up. Goliaths fall to the back for anti-air support. Looks like we got three squads of tanks and two of wraiths to handle. Comsat, I want you ready. *crk*
"Uh.. Go into.. uh.. ..Do what the other tanks do." Said Sithicus, and the ground began rumbling as all the tanks dug their arms into the earth, and the huge cannon extended.
"Get ready for a par-tay." Tod grinned, rubbing his hands togthger, and turned his seat to face his gunner screen.
"Since this is your first time, I'll be easy on you. All you gotta do is tell me to 'fire at will', got it?" Tod said, grinning.
"Okaey, Fire at will." Sithicus mumbled. Everything was going too fast for him. Tod gave him a thumbs up, before returning his hands to the controls.
"You got it sir."
Sithicus bent forwards, looking out the front of the tank. At the ledge below the ramp, about thirty tanks rolled into view. Everything became silent.
"Gawsh, that's a lot of tanks out there." He whispered. Rod seemed to have fallen asleep in his chair.
Suddenly, the air exploded, and the front line of the advancing tanks turned into scraps. Sithicus found himself thrown to his feet as 'his' tank shuddered. Tod laughed,
"Got that one good. They ain't gonna be eatin' tonight!" He cheered. The tanks kept rolling towards the ramp, never stopping. Then another thing caught Sithicus' eye - The whole sky was alive with wraiths, flying towards them. As they neared, the wraiths began to fade, becoming ripples in the air.
*Crk* Comsat, now! *crk*
The display in front of Sithicus suddenly became enveloped in blue, and he could see the wraiths on the screen, even though he couldn't see them in the sky. The Goliaths began to fire their dual missiles, and the wraiths began to falter, dropping out of the sky and crashing into the ground. But the wraiths weren't interested in the goliaths. Their lasers dug into the armor of the tanks, working from the front backwards, and tank after tank exploded on the ledge. Sithicus glanced back out the cockpit - The tanks at the bottom of the ledge were seiging up.
"Shiaat! They're breaking in!" Tod exclaimed. Rod startled awake,
"What?! No way!! Well.. I'm not going to die." The driver began reaching towards the tank controls, and Sithicus blinked,
"Wait! They didn't say for us'ns to move anywhere!"
"Dammit, I'm not going to die!" Rod growled. Tod was too busy focusing on the tanks below, and didn't hear them.
"No! Stop!" Sithicus jumped on Rod, struggling with the larger man's arms and trying to keep them from reaching the controls. Rod punched Sithicus in the face, and Sith stumbled backwards onto the controls, clutching his jaw. His hand grabbed an object beneath his palm and he swung it at Rod's head. Rod moaned and dropped to the ground, unconscious.
"Seven.. .. Eight.." Tod was counting off his kills, taking a tank down each time he fired. His hands were shaking. Sithicus glanced out the window. All of the wraiths were gone, and only three tanks - including his, were remaining on the ledge. Goliaths charged forwards off the ramp, most of them never making it to firing range as they stumbled over the burning wreckages of their comrades. Suddenly, the tank beside Sithicus exploded under five blasts, throwing Sithicus to the ground.
"Nine.. Come on! I can't hold all of them off!" Tod yelled, and Sithicus looked at the object in his hands - a pair of binoculars. Holding them up to his eyes, he glanced out the window... And he saw something.
"Wait! Dont shoot."
"Are you crazy?"
"I need t'see something! Ah can't see it wit' all this smoke!"
Tom stopped shooting for a second. They were now the only tank left on the ledge; three goliaths remained, staying back at the top of the ramp.
*crk* YOu! Tank! Retreat! *crk*
"I think I see.."
"Rod! Rod! The admiral said retreat!" Tod yelled.
"There! The three tanks! One o' them is leaking oil!"
"What?"
"Shoot the tank in the back!"
Tod followed the order, moving his target from the front to the back tank. The ground exploded in a shower of black dirt as one of the enemy tanks missed.
"Hurry up! Fire!!" Sithicus yelled. The seige tank shook violently as Tod fired, but Sithicus kept to his feet, watching. Everything seemed to slow down. The shell from the tank shot forwards, straight towards the tanks, and hit the ground with a firey crash, black oil and dirt billowing into the air... and then the fire burst into a giant fireball, engulfing the three tanks and destroying them instantly.
Tod took his eyes off the visor and looked out the cockpit window with wide eyes as the tanks burst into flames.
"Good lord." The gunman said softly.
"Ayup.. He's a good one, that'n is." Sithicus replied.
