This is Mistears with another Counterstrike Battlereport. Technically this is a guide because I will be covering tactics and tricks that every good Counterstrike player should know. This will cover simple techniques, bomb placements, the main weapons, and more.

Part 1 : Weapons

The most important thing a player should know is their weapons. Most of the weapons are retarded and are only added to make the game sound good. The guns are separated into five categories. Pistols, shotguns, submachine guns, rifles, and machine guns. We'll start of with the knife.

The knife is a very handle tool unlike what many people believe. A slash doesn't do much but a STAB is lethal. One stab to the body does 60 damage! That's a lot. Plus its funny as hell to kill someone with a knife. The best time to use a knife is if you have a shoot out with someone and they retreat to a hidden corner. Then you can just follow him up and knife him. The person should be extremely surprised, not to mention dead.

Next we have pistols. There are only three pistols you need to know about. The glock, the USP, and the Desert Eagle(pictured). The glock is the pistol that the Terrorists start with. It has two features, three bullet burst and semi-automatic. Never use the three round because the bullets spray in completely retarded directions. Instead use the semi automatic. There is no cooldown rate so the faster you click the faster it fires. Another interesting thing about the glock is that it sues the same ammo as MP5, thus Terrorists come with forty extra MP5 bullets. As with all pistols (Except Desert Eagle), aim for their head and click away.

The USP is a great pistol and most CTs shouldn't have problems fighting off Deagles with it. It's strong, comes with a useless silencer, and is accurate. Not much else to say about that.

The desert eagle is the king of the pistols. The only thing bad about it is the small 7 rounds that it holds. I don't aim for the head when using this because clicking extremely fast on their body will kill them easier. If they are far away then try to zone in on the head because a couple headshots from a deagle will kill them.

Pistols are always used in the first round(AKA pistol round). Although most people buy a deagle I prefer buying a single HE grenade because as long as you have teamwork there is more to benefit from it. Let your quick fingers handle the deaglers and it shouldn't be a problem. If you lose the first round then you'll have to stick with pistols for another couple rounds unless you win. If you win the first round then the next round shouldn't be a problem since you would have an MP5 and armor while they are stuck with a deagle and maybe kevlar w/out helmet. Some people prefer going for rifles instead of armor but that is stupid. You should ALWAYS have armor due to the incredible amount of MP5s that are used and without armor the MP5s can do serious damage.

The MP5-Navy is the most important gun in the gun. With great accuracy and a low price, it's the only possible weapon against a winning opponent armed with rifles. An important thing to know about guns besides pistols is burst firing. You should almost always burst fire unless you are very close to them or am using one of the techniques which will be explained in this guide. Because the MP5 lacks strength, you must use swift movements to avoid enemy damage and then kill him. My favorite move to use with MP5s is to jump at them and knock their head off while going full auto.

This should catch the enemy off guard and since you are running into his head he should be dead. Of course this is only if you find yourself at a reasonably close distance. If your far away you shouldn't just run at him hopping madly. MP5 is to the rifle what the Steyr Scout is to the AWP. They are much less effective than rifles, but they are very light and let you play with more mobility. Still, rifles are better than SMGs.

The Terrorists have the AK-47. The Counter-Terrorists have the Colt. Both guns are handled very differently, and usually colt comes out on top. The AK-47 is a very strong yet inexpensive rifle, stronger than the Colt. The only problem is that it is extremely inaccurate, thus forcing you do shoot in 2-3 round bursts. The good thing is that a couple bursts is usually all it takes to bring down your opponent. The Colt Carbine is the CT's rifle, the deadliest weapon in the game. It comes with a silencer which mutes the gun somewhat although making it weaker. The great thing about the Colt is its tremendous accuracy. If a Terrorist with an AK met a CT with a Colt, the following situation would most likely occur. The Terrorist would run at the CT bursting every 4-5 bullets because a close range AK is extremely powerful. The CT would probably crouch and aim at the Terrorist's chest hoping the recoil would climb up to the T's head, which it probably would. In the end the CT would win. The Colt and the AK are the best guns in the game and are used the most often second to the MP5.

Next we have the rifles with zoom. Steyr AUGs for the CTs, Sig Commandos for the Terrorists. Both are extremely strong and have a zoom giving them great accuracy(But a talented player can aim just as well with the zoom-less AK and Colt). I usually go full auto with these guns and dont bother to unzoom because when they are unzoomed their accuracy is crappier than the machine gun. Because of that unaccuracy I don't use the two guns. Most times I am running around cycling the weapons and when I come across an enemy there isn't time for that kind of zooming bull. A deagle would be more effective than that.

Finally we have the AWP. The most controversial gun in Counterstrike. As most of you know it used to be one hit but then they changed it to two hits if hit on the leg. They also took out the crosshair and you saw what happened in my previous CS report without crosshair(OWN). A good tip when using an AWP(Or a Scout) is if the first shot doesn't kill them(but hits), then just keep clicking the button until the second shot goes. The rifle will reload, rezoom for a millisecond, and then the shot will go off thus keeping your aim(As long as the enemy didn't move). If there is a couple huddled together then that maneuver works very well. Sniping is a great art.

The other two categories, shotguns and machine guns I won't talk about them. All I can say is that both of them is made to use up-close. If you use shotguns then don't use the auto shotgun because it is not well respected and is very inaccurate. Instead practice using the pump. If you have great aim you can floor 2-3 guys in a room by hopping around and nailing their chests, just make sure your close!

Part Two : Moves

That's right moves. Tactics, maneuvers, whatever movement you do to get overcome the enemy.

The most basic movement you can do is jumping around. When your running around always jump when you turn a corner. There can always be an enemy camping there and jumping will make his bullets trail you but not hit you, whether you notice it or not. It sure beats wasting a flashbang.

Now that I told you the most basic maneuver against campers, I've made a way to counter it. This works best with an AK but any weapon will do.

This is a diagram. The enemy (red) is running around getting prepared to jump and turn around at the crate to see if a camper (you) is there. So instead of waiting for him to get the jump on you, YOU get the jump on HIM. You stay quiet and wait for his footsteps to approach. As long as you have sound he would be your bitch as you pop out of nowhere and waste him. Blue arrows show where you should be blasting him. This technique is near invincible unless the person creeps up to you thus not making any noise. But nobody really does that in fear of getting shot in the back. Another downside is that its hard to take down more than one person with this technique. If you just plain old camp and get away with it then you can gun down 2-3 people before they turn around, with this you can only get one. This should also work hand in hand with circle strafing. Circle strafing can be used in any situation with any gun although again AKs work best (They just do!). What? You want a diagram? Voila.

I've seen a guy do this around two people thus creating an "S" movement and nailing both of them. It was quite a sight. You really can't stop this unless you somehow back away but by then the AK-47 would be close enough to go full auto and hitting every bullet. Remember that moving backwards is slower then forwards. This also gives you a chance to kill more than one person while doing the surprise technique. With a little bit of practice you should be able to do this while receiving little to no damage.

Both of these techiques are close range tactics. Now I will talk about a long range move that's nearly invincible(But popular). It's the shoot and hide technique I did a couple times in my other battlereport. You see a guy in the distance and he sees you. Instead of shooting it out you head for the nearest wall. Then you run to the open while predicting where he is, fire, then hide again. As long as your predictions are correct he should be your bitch, especially because you are constantly seeing where he is.

I know it looks retarded but that's what you get when you get an animation from me. The box is the cover. The black dot (you) is constantly appearing and dissapearing while the enemy's slow reflexes make him shoot at air. The downside would be if the enemy is constantly moving around, then it'd be hard to pinpoint him. This should also let you take down more than one person for two reasons. One, two enemies make for a bigger target. Because there isn't much vision in this maneuver, you'll probably hit a couple enemies with stray bullets. Two, whether its one person or two they both will have the same crappy human reflexes. This is kind of like the strafe technique except the strafe technique would be in an open field.

The strafe technique is used in forced open confrontation, thus when you see the enemy in an open field. Basically you just strafe left to right while burst firing every once in awhile. This works great on laggers and none laggers alike. The enemy's crosshair will be rapidly trying to catch up with you thus completely ruining his aim.

If the enemy was smart then he'd back away to a distance where strafing wouldn't make much of a difference. This technique would also ruin your aim also so don't dare go full auto. This doesn't work so great with inaccurate guns but its a lifesaver in the pistol round. That's all I have to say for the movement section.

Maps

Now we go to the maps section. In order to be a great CS player you must have extensive knowledge of the maps and little tricks that only a few would know. I have a couple great camping spots that never fail to give me a couple easy frags and its a wonder that people don't use them more often. Another very important aspect of Counterstrike is the objectives. There is hostage rescuing, bomb defusing, and VIP escorting. The first and the last are pretty simple but the bomb scenarios take a bit of ingenuity. I've got some good places to plant bomb and to watch them. The trick is not to try to HIDE the bomb, but hide yourself! If you hide the bomb but not yourself, then they'll kill you, then find the bomb(It's not that hard people). But if you hide yourself and leave the bomb where you can see it, you can kill them while they are defusing it. I've kicked out the old school tricks because they are already very predictable and added my own.

Aztec. Both sites. Dust Dust (2nd) Dust Two Dust Two (2nd) Vertigo 1 Vertigo 2 Vegas 1 Vegas 2 Cbble 1 Cbble 2 Inferno 1 Inferno 2 Rotterdam Rotterdam 2 Train 1 Train 2

Those should keep you winning the first couple of times. I know that in some of the pictures its hard to see so if your confused then just write in comments and I'll get back at you. As you can see most of them you guard the bomb from far away. Some you can see from so far away that you can watch it explode without dying. What you should do during this time is use your strafe keys to center your crosshair PERFECTLY on the bomb so they don't defuse it anyways. It's not that hard and you should have lots of time. Most of these plants are hard to do at first but once you get the timing you can get the bomb in the craziest spots. There are more spots than the ones pictured that are good but these are the ones that I use.

I made this guide to try to help you get the thinking process of the game. Most of the game is practice. Practice aiming, teamwork, etc. But in order to achieve excellence you must be innovative, smart, and always be thinking ahead of the enemy. If your whole team goes one direction, then what do YOU do? You don't stay with them, you hide and wait for the enemy to approach your team from behind, then come out and save the day. If an enemy team has one great player then you figure out his patterns to try to stop him the next time he comes around.

And thus ends my Counterstrike Guide. This will be my last report on Counterstrike because it is a very hard game to report. And to top this off here is another hilarious gored up the ass picture!
