The Adventures of the Hunter
Chapter 1
It was cold that night, very cold. Daniel Owens was able to see his breath in the darkness. He walked slowly through the winding plain to what he knew was a Zerg encampment, continually watching for the dreaded Overlord, who could easily see through his personal cloaking device. Daniel neared the encampment, and soon became entrenched in the creep. It was thicker than usual, probably trying to keep the buildings warm. Daniel sighted the Hatchery and the drones of the newly constructed expansion, and prepared his nuclear attack. Or what would be the attack he sighted for. He relayed the coordinates of the Hatchery to a satellite above, which sent it to the scientists at the Silo back at his home base. He watched as the red dot appeared on the Hatchery, and noticed that everything around him seemed to tense and panic. He had a feeling that the Zerg knew what was happening. Then the dot disappeared. He walked away from the encampment, and listened to the giant missile falling from the sky. He walked a bit more quickly, just to make sure he was clear of the blast zone. Just then, the Nuke hit. Several drones exploded upon impact, the Hatchery quailed under the massive force the Bomb produced, and toppled. Daniel walked on, not caring that his cloaking shield had worn off. It didn’t matter. Daniel was tired from his mission, he quickly got back to his command post. He entered the Command Center to fill out his report.
“Damn this is going to a while. I hope that some Medics are at the Supply Depot. I want some malt liqueur and a hot chick,” thought Daniel.
Once he finished his report, he headed out to “his” seat at “his” supply depot. He was the top dog there. Even the surly Vulture bikers quailed under his angry stare if the pissed him off to much. Plus, he always carried his gun.
He settled into his chair, and was immediately joined by a cute Medic. She was out of her suit, and in her civilian clothes, even though there were no “civilians” out here. Daniel was able to get a good look at her figure.
“Hi, my name is Julie, what’s yours?” asked Julie.
“Daniel. So, you want a drink?” asked Danny.
“Depends on what you want to do tonight,” said Julie a little jokingly.
“Haha, very funny. So, what brings over to this little patch radiation?” asked Danny. Danny had been a Ghost for a while, and had sighted for a lot of Nukes. He knew that he was safe with his suit though.
“I just want to get a drink. I’ll have a glass of wine,” said Julie, “I’m not a really heavy drinker.”
“Fine,” replied Danny.
Just as he was about to order the drink, the attack alarm sounded. Daniel immediately put his hood over his head, and turned on his sensor arrays. He walked outside, with his gun in hand to only see about ten Hydralisks attacking a Bunker. He put his Lockdown shells into the canister, and shot about three Hydras. Then he walked back into Supply Depot, and ordered Julie her glass of wine. He knew that the bunker would be able to hold until some other on-duty Marines arrived. He didn’t expect what was about to happen after the small Hydra force was repelled…

Ok, that was a little short, I know it. Don't complain about that in the comments section. This is only the beginning of (what I hope to be) a larger series. Possibly with 5 or more parts. This is only the preview chapter, so don't get all shitty about the whole fan-fic beineg shitty, because it won't be shitty. Thanks for reading, comments are welcome.
