Hi Hi Hi again people. I was feeling a little bit discouraged with Brood War the past week (I have win like 5 games in a row...then start losing like mad). I hate ending my night of SC off on a bad note....so I decided to go back to Vanilla SC and see what would transpire. I was soon sorry that I did.

Pre-Games (I will give you 2 games for the price of one...WHAT A DEAL!!!): Well...I was hacking and slashing my way through the BHG MUCHO MONEY games to see a game I found playable. It was the Challenger map, and it was named, "Pickle's Palace". I open the door to the game room and saw "Pickle1473". This was good game to start off my night...and I was gonna make a Temple game after that. I thought, "Good warmup game,, let's dance Pickle".

Screw early/mis/late game...It was all early game

Well...I hate the 6ling rush (Too cheap). If it works they bitch at you and disconnect (Vanilla SC players love the old disconnect)...if it fails...my economy is crap. I only do the rush if the player is horrible. As I refuse to waste my time climbling the tech tree if the guy stands no chance. If he has one Zeal (Or even a gate warping in), when I scout...I won't rush, let him play and have fun. Well...I put off scouting for a while (I wanted too see what he would make in the time I finally scouted.) I went 8 pool...made a few lings...threw up another hatch (by the other gas spot on my main) and started to power my economy. I made 2 sunkens by my mineral lines to protect them. A few more lings were made (I had a bout 16 + I think). Well...before I tech to Hyrdas, I will send one ling too see what old toss is up to. My speedly ling runs at top speed....passes his choke(no cannons or defenders...hmm...ok....maybe he went for a wall-in build...nothin wrong with that)...and arrives at his mineral line.

My ling stops dead in his tracks...and kinda turns his head sideways making a confused face :/ . I look on his base and see, 8 probes on minerals and one on gas...without one pylon or gate for that matter. Now...In the time it took me to do all that...he should have had a small Zealot army. My ling just stands still as I message the commander, "WTF?" ...no response. I say, "You did'nt even make a gate for christ sake". no response...except he then put 4 probes on gas. So I attack with my ling until backup can arrive. His probes attack my ling and I retreat. Soon the back up is here and he leaves without saying a word.

Now here is what I find really mind-boggling...he must have been tring to win at least or he would'nt have had the probe attack me. You might say he did'nt know how to make buildings...well..he built the assimilator (and in the correct spot too!). I was so frustrated with his logic after that game. The games ends and he had mined 1000 + minerals. Perhaps he was sending it to his secret bank account in Switzerland (Who knows???).

I return to the main Battlenet room and make a temple game (Nobody comes). So much for any temple training I might have obtained. The night is stiil young O' my brothers....so I decide to create a map on Challenger.

I think to myself as the game begins, "If he does'nt have a logical build order by the time my lord arrives and scouts this base (quite a little hike for my unupgraded Lord)...I'm ending it quick". The game begins and send the Lord out as he slowly moves toward the enemy base. I do the exact same build as before.

My Lord arrives at his base and I see...........3 plyons. No gate once again and even less probes working than the last guy. GRRRRR RAAAAAAAA SNARL ROAR!!!! WTF??? My lings are half way to his base...and guess what he finally decides to throw up?????? A FORGE!!!!! I say to him, "Why three plyons right away? why? why? why? why?"
No response. I say, "Make a gate, for the love of God!!!!" My Lings arrive and finish him off. Why FORGE? WHY? With that supply from the 3 pylons...Gate should have been screaming in his mind. I get another empty win. That was my last game of Starcraft of the night...another one like that...and it would require 48 Federal Marshalls to bring me down, after I run amuk with my Dad's chainsaw.

While brushing my teeth and preping for bed I kept saying, "why? why? 3 pylons? why?" I had to watch T.V for 3 hours in bed in order to sleep, b/c I could'nt stop thinking about this insane night.

I would thank whomever is concerned not to rate this BR. It's not really a Battlereport...but a look into some of the nights I have while playing Starcraft. And I would like to ask you all one question, "why?". Don't just say they were newbies (that goes without saying)....but these two people totally fly back in the face of logic! I mean....I can understand slow builds....but at least they work towards Zealots or attack units of some kind....they may be slow but they get there at least. So....puuuuulease try and answer the question, "Why?" for me.

-A frustrated Flint
