So I'm sitting there...

So there I am, sitting in nohunters watching the usual scene: smurfs spamming the room, not so smurfs spamming the room, gay people spamming the room, and half the guys hitting on collsy.("Hey ive got a 1500 ladder wanna fuck?" "I have a big cock, wanna fuck?" "kekekekekeke me monkey boy kekekekeke me wild rough in bed kekekekek lets fuck!") I've already played a couple games with random peeps and lost in all but one where i rushed. (I AM THE MASTER RUSHER!!!^^) Feeling gay I clicked the "Join" button and on came the massive amounts of bgh, mega ultra super hunters, and $$$$$$$$$ games into view. All of the games, and I mean ALL of the games, had something to do with homosexual stuff like bgh, $$$$ maps, and bob. All of them but one, that is. It had a reasonable title, "1v1 or 2v2 u pick" and it was on my all time suuuuperr deeeeuuuper favorite map, Blood Bath. Now before you leave saying "this map is fuxing overplayed", think about this. If a BR is on Temple (like most are, do you automatically leave because its Temple? Why is it allright to play Temple games and not bb? Sit ure ass down boy and read the damn BR! Sorry, got a little off subject there...heh...
Anyways, the game creator's name was something like Spady12035 and he seemed friendly to me. After a few mins of conversation we decided to 1v1, but as he was starting someone joined in at the last minute (I forget his name but he's not all that important to the game anyways. I'll just call him SirSpamAlot)making it a ffa. Oh and I bet your wondering what that title is about? Just wait...

Lets get it on!

Spady12035 top right toss
SirSpamAlot top left terran
Me bot right zerg

The game starts with me recieving orange zerg at the bot right spot. I quickly clone my drones and send my ovie to scout counter clockwise. I find the bot left space open meaning my two opponents are both on the top of the map. Since everyone randomed, i had no idea what they were, so I decided to rush. I wasn't going to 4 pool -- it was too late for that -- but I was 9 pooling. Its not the most effective but if the rush fails then you have enough drones to stabilize your economy and head for the mid game, so I favour the 8/9 pool most of the time. When my pool is half way done, a probe comes in to scout. I curse to myself as I chase the bastard off with a drone. My plan has been discovered by Spady12035, but not SirSpamAlot. When the pool finishes I build 6 lings and send them to SirSpamAlot's mineral line to see what I can fuck up. I take two of the lings at the rush and run them around to the back of his peon line while the other four come in the front door. He has 2 rines gaurding the peons but I was able to pick them off before they could use the scv's for cover. His cowardly SCV's dont fight my lings but rather run to the back of his peon line where my other two lings are waiting. The only other option was out on the opposite side of his cc where I had two of the 4 lings already circling around to block it. With no other chance of escape, his SCV's say "fuck this!" and attack my lings. The poor scv's begin popping like flies, but the battle lasted a good 10 seconds, in which time he was able to mass about 3 rines. ( he must have had them building from the start) I lost 2 lings in the battle with the SCV's and the other four were in the blue. With some quick dancing SirSpamAlot eliminates my last lings as they try desperately to hump the rines to death.

Back at home I set up a sunken and added 4 more lings to my arsenal. I sent those to press my luck with my protoss foe. He already has a cannon at his choke and another warping in, but my lings run past it with minimal damage. I find a gate, a forge, 2 pylons, and a cycore as my lings split up and attack his peons from either side of the nexus. The difference between my rush at SirSpamAlot's base and my rush here was that at SirSpamAlot I had 6 lings and here I had 4, and at SirSpamAlot he only had about 8 or 9 scvs and the toss has about 13-14 probes. The odds were more on his side than mine. I kill two probes then dance my lings around a bit, hoping to steal as much mining time from him as possible. When he sends the probes back to work, I charged in and killed another two then ran back out, losing one of the lings. He again sends the probes back to mining and I pull the same trick, but as I run away from the probes, I meet an angry zeal that kills my lings with the help of some probes. The rush was thrawted much quicker by Spady12035 than SirSpamAlot , but I had done my damage to his economy. And that was a good thing.

At home I slap down some gas and another sunken in case Spady12035 came down on me with a couple zeals while I began my slow tech. I make another hatch and make about 12 lings for some hefty base defense. I put down an evolution chamber and begin the melee attack upgrade. To check on my enemies bases, I send a ling to scout around, but they unfortunately never make it. Why you may ask? Cause terran had like 10 rines and 2 meds in the center making a scouting run impossible and the lings were quickly blown away. Thinking my best counter to m&m is hydra/lurker/ling, I add a hydra den and upgrade to lair. I also upgrade ling speed incase I had to do some quick dancing. When the den finished I began pumping hydras with one hatch designated for lings and the other designated for hydras. Some time along there I halted hydra production for a moment to save enough gas for the lurker upgrade and sacraficed a drone to make a hatch at one of the mineral patches at my base. I also saved up some gas for the missle attack upgrade.

By now I have about 2 control groups of lings, 3 lurkers, and a control group of hydras. I decide the time is ripe to take the middle, when all of a sudden SirSpamAlot begins swearing, cursing, and spamming his ass off. I send a ling to scout his base and I see there are no men in the center and in his base there are remnents of a reaver/zeal drop. His base is vurtually defenseless so I send a control group of lings, a group of hydras, and two of the 3 lurkers to finish him off. When I reach his base all I am greeted with is more spam from SirSpamAlot and accusations of me and toss allying and hacking or something and only a few last minute rines and a tank. Sad really. To make a long, boring battle short, I send my hydras and lurkers back home while leaving the lings to finish off the last of his buildings. SirSpamAlot quickly leaves the game after giving me and my opponent even more spam.

Now I'm down an opponent and my upgrades for all units are 1/0/0. I slap down another evo chamber and upgrade attack yet again for both melee and missle. I then notice that gas is running tight, so I send a drone and 7 hydras to the open spot on bot left for an expandsion. What I find is a cc and 7 idle scv's that my former opponent left behind. After destroying it all with my hydras, I begin my hatchery. I continue to mass hydra/ling with occasional lurker thrown in there. Things were getting pretty boring with not much action, so I began thinking of ways to defeat Spady12035's toss. Then something struck me like a lightning bolt hitting
C-3PO on the top of mount everest. I remembered reading on the forum something saying that when your zerg vs toss, if you expand then go mutas and if you don't expand go lurkers. Hmmmmm interesting. I quickly throw down a Spire and add gas to my newly created expandsion. My main is mined out by now so I send half the drones to the expo and the other half to one of the mineral patches at my main. I sacrifice a ling to scout out his base but he didnt get far cause the bastard had a bunch of cannons protecting his choke. After seeing this I came to two conclusions: 1)he didn't want me seeing what was inside or 2)he was a total newbie. And I was hoping for the latter. Right around now my spire finishes and I have 9 larvae waiting to morph. I begin massing mutas and add two hatcheries to my expandsion, one at either mineral patch. I then start working on the ovie carrying upgrade (btw earlier in the game I upgraded the speed) in hopes of a good drop.

But I still didn't have a clue what he was going until he attempted a reaver drop on my expandsion that failed misserably cause mutas/hydras>reavers. After seeing my mutas he was bound to get a few sairs, so I place a bunch of spores around both my bases. My carrying upgrade just finished so I decided a good 16 ling drop would do me good. I load 2 ovies with lings and circle them around in an attemt to hit him from behind. To my dismay, the ovies were blown out of the sky by a bunch of cannons at the top left base where terran used to be. They were protecting a warping in nexus. jfal;sfjaskfjs;adfhsdjafysdufhsa;klfjsfkjsdf;jlkhf;kdlsjfsalk!!!!!!!!!
In my experience of playing Starcraft, I learned one thing: Never be equal in expandsions with a toss enemy if your zerg; you must out expand a toss to win. Dammit. I knew I could sac the exp with a bunch of hydras, but god knows what troops he has waiting to ambush me the minute I send my men to his expandsion. I had a hefty amount of mutas to gaurd my base, but what if he had sairs? And odds are he would have a few of those bastards since he saw my mutas when he reaver dropped me.

And thats when all hell broke loose.

I was totally helpless when a lone arbiter spelled my doom as he warped in an unhealthy amount of zeals at my expandsion. Im talkin about 20-25. And when that many zeals are anywhere, they tear shit up. So I did what any reasonable player would do, dance my hydras until the reached the lone sunken in the middle of all my hatches and use my drones to get in the way of the zeals to give me pot shots. I decleared my single sunken the Alamo and gave out a war cry to bolster my men's fighting abilitys. It would have worked too if I had sent my men from the center to catch the zeals off gaurd. It would have but it did't cause I was too busy microing my hydras to notice I had plenty of men in reserve to save my expandsion. Not until it was too late that is. By the time I was sending in reinforcements, the alamo had fallen and there were more zeals warping in. My expandsion was gone due to one fucked up arbie. I decided to take my rage out on the poor fella with 6 scourges hungry to die. At least I wouldn't have to worry about another one of those for a while.

During the battle, he must have stormed away my lurkers in the middle cause they werent there anymore, which was a bad thing. He was probly maynarding some probes over to his expandsion now and taking my old one for himself. I tried my luck on his main with 2 control groups of hydras but chokes+storm>me. It was a bloody mess and after only 2 storms my forces were decimated from 2 control groups of hydra/ling to half a group of hydras. I ran the survivors back home. The smell of defeat was diffusing its way towards me and there was now way to stop it. I slolemly kept on producing hydras and lings and worked on hydra attack and the caraspace upgrade. I had about 6 lurkers scattered throughout my base and 3 more morphing. There was a control group of mutas on either side of my main, patroling the borders to make sure no arbies came in to pull that stunt again. My mineral patches were almost mined out and his frequent storms on the peons mining there weren't helpful either (I hate it when the temps are just in range to storm ure peons there grrr..)

And thats when all hell broke loose a second time(someone shud lock the gate sheeesh...)

It all started with some sairs attacking the control group of mutas patrolling the top side of my base. I sent the other control group of mutas to help out and together they were able to quash the sairs but took heavy losses. It also left the bottom side of my base open for anther arbie drop. I realized my mistake after it was too late as he was already warping in his raveging zeals. I dispatched my 3 control groups of hydras and 2 control groups of lings to repel the threat, leaving my choke open. Before I could send some men back to defend the choke, he was already charging about 3 control groups of zeals into my base with obs, temps,...and DA's for support. Yes, DAs. The problem was, he wasn't storming the lurkers, in fact he wasn't storming at all. Instead he dwebed em with the god damed sairs, forcing me to unburrow my lurkers and find an open space. But that was exactly what Spady12035 wanted. As soon as the lurkers were out in the open, he began mind controling them. dkfj;salkjfskdfjsjhjkhdfkjshfalk!!!!!!!! fucking cock! He mc'd all 9 of my lurkers and had 3 da's left to malestorm my hydra/lings that were franticly running through the lurker spines, trying to get to the zeals. He then stormed the malestromed fellas, decimating my forces in the blink of an eye. Damn. He was good, I could tell you that, and In a minute or two my whole base was gone. Along with the game. I'm gonna sue blizz for making arbies...

GG Spady12035.

Afterthoughts

To me that was a pretty wierd strat he pulled...dwebing my lurkers and them mc'ing them when they were in the open. The malestrom/storm was pretty nifty, although ive seen that more often than the dweb/mc. Also, the arbie drop was one I havent seen in a while. Hats off to Spady12035 for a good and fun game. Hope you liked this BR, and I'm looking forward to writing more text only's. (Even ones I lose like this one if the games good...)

I'm Out
