How I finally won again
I was hanging around in my home channel, Searching for a good game. Even though it was like 3:00 in the morning, I didn¡¯t feel tired. My adernaline was pumping. I had just beaten a very skilled Terran player with my superior zerg skills in the Lost Temple. He had a solid, full wallin consisting of Bcs, Tanks, Bunkers, Wraiths, Svs, and all the other goodies which generally go in a Wall-In Sundae. I had about three-fourths of the map, and the rest one-fourths was completely (yes, completely) walled in by the Terran. I threw everything at him (guards, lurks, drops, hydras, lings, devours, queens, defilers, et cetra) and I just couldn¡¯t go through.
So, I decided to use my gayest strategy: Mass Muta. First, I got like 20000 mins and 20000 gas. Then, I sent everything from drones to Ultras to lurks to hydras. I didn¡¯t even bother to micro. While they were hammering away at the terran wall-in, I Ordered all my 30+ hatcheries to produce mutas. When my entire fleet was decimated (hence, the 200 food was all dedicated to mutas), I had 100 mutas just dying to kill. My former attack had caused some dents, and I decided that instead of running straight forward, I would rather convert 30 of my mutas devours and another 30 for guards, and divide the guards/devours/mutas into 3 groups and and do a three-pronged attack. And it miraculously worked.

Ok, ladies and gentlemen, enough of my talking. Thank you for listening to my preface. I will start talking about my game¡¦¡¦. about now.

Ok, my adernaline was pumping, and I wanted to play and kill more dearly, so I entered the first game that was on the join list. It was a 1 vs 1 on lost temple. I thought to myself, ¡® hey, this guy might be pretty decent¡¯. We started right after I came in. no comments, no trash talk, nothing.

I started in the 12 position, and I knew later that he started in the 9 o¡¯clock position. I was random zerg, and he chose terran. I didn¡¯t know his race or his position, so I started my mass hydra build. My ol was scouting the wrong direction, and it was not until my second overlord that I found him. So, I get two hatcheries in my main, get a spawning pool, upgrade to lair, get a hydralisk den, and all the while setting up the defenses for a massive raid. I also got 3 evo¡¯s, and upgraded nonstop until the hydras were 2/1. Then, I upgraded ol and hydra speed, and ol transport, and hydra range. Then, I expanded 2 times, and waited until I got 1200 minerals every minute. Then, I started producing hydras. By now, hydras were at 3/3, and the ol air carapace upgrade was 3, so as soon as I had about 100 hydras, I loaded them up into all my ols and send them to Terran¡¯s main base. I also sent a few ols as decoy. Well, The terran main was literally surrounded by turrets, but no tanks with only infantry. I now regret that I didn¡¯t get lurkers. The game would¡¯ve ended more quickly. Oh well. The Hydras done their job, and although they all died, all that was left after my courageous hydras was sending a few mutas and see the carnage begin. At the end, he did expand at his natural and at the 7o¡¯ clock main, but they were quickly found and destroyed also. While my hydras were pounding on his base, the terran shoved some bcs and wraiths against me. But, with some good ol micro on my part, I was able to lure the bcs and wraiths into my 6 spore colonies and successfully fought off the attack. In the end, I won.

Lessons learned
1. hydras work so well against infantry.
2. fully upgraded hydras rule!
3. Turrets still rock against ols, but not against hydras.

Sincerely yours,
Ne_Mesis.
