Ok, I was in opponents wanted looking for a quick one on one, when I came across a guy (sorry, I forget his name) with exactly the same record as me (19:11 at the time, I've restarted my account since then). The map was Challenger; I drew random and he initially selected random then switched to zerg at the last second.
I had the top starting position. I made a pool on 8, overlord on 10 (canceled colony), refinery, then six zerglings. My first overlords scouting had revealed that my opponent had only one sunken and 2 zerglings that I could see. I sent my lings at his base, and intercepted his two on the way (guess they were scouting). I killed them without loss and continued to his base. I sent my lings past his sunken, losing one, and tore into his drone line, killing about four before his remaining dronesand four newly hatched lings finished mine off.
Realizing I now had a decisive resource advantage, I double hatched at my gas only natural, expanded to a mineral only expansion in the southeast, built a hydra den, two sunkens, and an evo chamber, and teched to a layer. Soon after this the overlord that I had parked over his base was killed by three newly hatched hydras. I researched the first carapace upgrade, overlord transport, burrowing, and zergling movement. I pumped hydras and lings for a while, then expanded to the island to my right. By now, my economy was buzzing, and I built a spire and queens nest, researched ol movement and the second carapace upgrade, and went hive. Scouting lings revealed that my opponent, fearing a rush, had sunkened in (8 or so), hatched 30 or so hydras, and expanded to a mineral only near his base. Hoping to gain map control, I burrowed a dozen hydras in the center of the map, and placed burrowed lings at each expansion point and ols over island expansions. I then took a force of a dozen mutas and rolled over his expansion, which had many sunkens but only a few hydras. I moved the mutas on to attack his main's mineral line, but they were stopped by several scourge and a swarm of hydras before they could do much damage.
At this point the ol I had over his island expansion was destroyed. I sent a force of 18 mnutas to make sure my opponent didn't claim this island, but they were repelled by a massive swarm of hydras (at least 40) that he must have transported over. I built a Nydus canal and attempted to construct its opening on the edge of his expansions creep. Unfortunately, it was destroyed only a second or two after completion and I was only able to send a few lings through.
I expanded again to a mineral only expansion. Since my main was dry, I assumed his was too, and since he had only one expansion I knew he must be feeling some resource burn. I teched to gaurdians, assembled a force of twelve gaurdians, three dozen mutas, and a handful of scourge. I moved for his main, figuring if I got his tech buildings the game was over, and knowing he had a ton of sunkens. I attacked his main, only to be met with a huge number of hydras for a second time. I destroyed almost all of the hydras, but my gaurdians were detroyed by some well microed scourge and my mutas were killed by the last few remaining hydras.
Seeing no burrowed lings with scouting ols, I assembled a force af hydralings, teched to defilers, and attempted to darkswarm my way into his base. He had defilers of his own, however, and a few well placed plagues and the few zerglings he had managed to to cripple my force until my two defilers ran out of mana.
Starting to get frustrated, I checked again to make sure he had only one expansion, expanded twice more, and began to build a massive force of mutas (70 +). At is point my opponent disced, but I don't blame him cause there aws a lot of lag and he seemed like not a bad guy.
