Ok, after much bickering about which game produced the first micromanaging, and after much complaint about a 3v3 all of us had just had, dafeared and akira decided to have a 1on1.
Dafeared decided to go for the usual build for zerg on LT, 8-lord, then he expanded to his natural. Akira decided to 7-pylon, 9-gateway then double gateway.
Neither Player did much scouting other than Dafeared's lone lord, which went first to the 12 position then to akira's base. By the time dafeared found akira, he had 6-8 zeals and dafeared already had 2 hatcheries, about 12 lings
and another hatch morphing. When akira saw Dafeared's lord, he sent a lone zeal to scout first the 12 postiion (isn't it just so popular) then to dafeared's base (what is it with these 1-2 combos?).
Dafeared sends 2 lings to Akira's base. They walk in like its the holiday Inn. Dafeared manages to kill 2 probes before their life was ended by the glowing blade of a zealot. After that they both seemed to start teching, with akira going for a forge and cybernetics core. While Dafeared, who already had a lair, went for lurkers.
Dafeared, deciding that this shit was getting boring, attacks akiras base with about 8 ling. Since Akira didn't block up the choke with zeals, dafeared's lings ran easily into his base. They first ran to the right, dodging the oncoming zeals, then back up and into the huge mass of akira's probes. After molesting the probes for a short while, akira managed to kill the lings off, but he had lost precious resources.
Dafeared decides to expand at the 12 o'clock position, but akira was thinking the same thing as his probe popped up as dafeared's hatchery was in the process of morphing. Akira's probe left and he sent 3 zealots to kill the
hatch....they didn't quite make it. For at that moment dafeared had sent his whole force of about 24 lings and 4 lurks to akiras natural, meeting the zeals half way
and destroying them.
Akira's base: About 3 cannons, 3 gateways, forge and cyb. core.Dafeared's
base(s): altogether 4 hatcheries, 1 being a lair, 3 mineral patches being mined, hydra den and pool.
Now the fun stuff :) Alright dafeared sends 4 of
his lurkers in, 1 burrows to close to a cannon and dies to it's photons. The others manage to kill about 3 zeals; hurting many more. After the
zeals retreat Dafeared picks up 2 of his lurks and puts them out of reach of cannons yet in reach of Akiras gateways. The lurkers begin to spread
their spikes =) Akira at this point is powerless
as dafeared sends another 2 lurkers to his mineral patch to dispatch of resources. Akira is in dismay right now, the lurkers have ripped up all his
gateways and the other 2 are spiking away at his nexus, and all he can do is bundle all his men in a small group at the bottom of his base. Dafeared still has his army of lings just waiting outside...bored and tired of doing nothing. Dafeared seems overly confident as he should be. He also seems to have a tendency to have a
couple of stupid creatures in his midst as a hydra decides to walk up and hug the cannons, not to mention a lurker, and a ling....how convenient.
Akira starts complaining about how toss suck on LT, and Dafeared Smack Talks
him back...how fun. They b!tch at each other for awhile, then Akira leaves. Poor Dafeared... he still had a whole army waiting to munch on akira's base....too bad.
Dafeared Wins the Match, here's a final Screeny of the scores. BTW, dafeared and akira played a rematch, i wasn't there to BR, but dafeared was terran, akira zerg on LT and dafeared won again. that puts Dafeared 2-Up
