WELCOME TO MY SECOND BR IN TWO DAYS! As some of you know, in the last battle Corbata used his D-Webbing skills to secure a victory over Shadow4eveR. Will he be able to win today? I don't know. I'M NOT BATTLE REPORTING HIM! Today's battle is between 2 little know players -LordVedge- and Zadan.

Today I did what I always do for BRs. Play fun little Map Settings games while occasionally checking in Nohunters to see if I can find a game to BR. I was harsh and strict in requesting to BR, messaging "can I BR?" to anyone starting a game. Hey, it works, and I managed to come across a game with these semi-gosu players. LordVedge, aka Vedge, asks to wait for his friend who will be observing as well. Once he joins, we are on our way!

Before the report begins I will tell you about the first battle that occurred. Johnny SCV and Joe SCV snuck up upon Tom SCV and Billy SCV. Before either one could react, they were being torn apart by the traitors. Bidding his farewell, Joe walked the away from Johnny but soon charged right back at him! Joe managed to kill Johnny and threw his injured arms up into the sky! But soon Billy's friend Bob SCV jumped out of the CC which was taking off. Joe disarmed Bob and proceeded to tear him limb from limb. But the CC was gone and Joe soon died of malnutrition.

Anyway, back to the game. As you can tell, it turned into a Terran vs Toss game. Last time a saw one of these the Terran was owned, but turnabout is fair play... Anyway Vedge went Pylon-Gate-Gate-Pylon-Assimilator-Forge-Core-expand-Citadel of Adun. All before the first confrontation. Zadan went Depot-Barracks-Refinery-Depot-Factory-Factory-Depot-Depot-Ebay. Again before first attack. Zadan was obviously going for heavy metal and Vedge could have either teched from here or start pumping Dragoons. Vedge seemed content to let Zadan tech but Zadan had other things in mind. Remember, the best way for a terran to beat a toss is to contain him. Check out what Zadan did.

It appears like Zadan is preparing to severely contain Vedge. The minefield was soon found and destroyed, but this gives us crucial insight into Zadan's plans. In fact Zadan soon sends his first tanks up to the front lines. They wisely spread apart, afraid of storm or D-web.

Zadan manages to get his tanks amazingly far forward. Stiff resistance is sent their way but the tanks are blasting them back to Auir. Vedge is sending DTs and Zealots, for which Zadan has Vultures and Missile Turrets put up. The melee units that DO make it to the tanks are blasted away along with their target. Very costly for both sides. But look at this!

Gee, you can still see the ghost of that nexus as it is blasted sky high. Vedge has been doing the right thing by fighting back very strongly. Currently he has been amassing Zealots and DTs in hopes he can get rid of those tanks. But the distance between the Siege Tanks allows the other tanks to fire on the protoss melee units. He hopes he can survive with this attack.

The large number of units that comes to the executors rescue do not die in vain. For the last picture you see is all that remains of the containment group save for a few Turrets. Soon a clean-up job is sent to kill the remnants.

The four zealots kill the 2 tanks and the SCV. THE CONTAINMENT IS BROKEN! Vedge, proud that his zealots were successful sends his probes to rebuild the natural. Vedge does this too quickly, for soon more tanks and more vultures head for the choke in hopes of remaking the containment.

This new group of metal kills the protossian defenders. Soon the expansion is under siege again. I look at Vedge's main and what do I see? Better question, what don't I see? MINERALS! His main is completely mined out! He rushes what ever he has to defend but it is all for naught. He is forced to say "GG" and conceded defeat.

GOOD POINTS

• Almost anything Zadan did. He managed to catch Vedge with his pants down twice and he skillfully took advantage of that.
• Zadan was very thourogh with his containment. He continuously scouted for expansions with his vultures.
• Zadan's containment at the ramp was excelent. He kept his tanks far apart and he had missle turrets wherever he had tanks.
• Containment is one of the few ways for a terran to beat a protoss. Zadan did what he had to do very well.
• Vedge tried hard. He was correct in using Zealots and DTs to fight off the invasion. Goons would have melted too fast to be reliable.

MISTAKES

• No D-Webs or Storms. I think I saw one storm in the entire battle.
• Zadan was a little too careful. If he had sent some m&ms into the main he would have won much quicker.
• Vedge retook his expansion too fast. He should have made more dts and zealots.
