Ok, this is not quite a battle report but more of an effort to make us all appriciate the genius of public players. Oh yeah, wait for pics to load.

One day, not so long ago, I was on battle.net looking for a game. I checked out the few channels that I use, nothing there. I look for a quick ladder game that looks reasonable, eventually join a "1070 ++ ²ÄzåÙß", and quickly get banned. I am running out of options. I start to panic. My hand drifts over to the join game button. I quickly jerk it away, correcting my mistake. I fight all impulses and try hard to keep myself under control. The pull is just too strong. I eventually give in and click the button. Scrolling down for a few seconds brings me to a "1v1 experts only" on a map I do not remember. I join. This is where my adventure starts.

Throughout the next few days, I play several public games, trying to get to know the "other" side of the starcraft community. I also spend some time in public channels, analyzing how these people think and what they know. On one of these earlier visits, I met a truly great person, Hell-Cerbrete. Heres a a dialog of one of his more intelligent conversations:

As you can see, this Hell-Cerbrete character was well educated in the areas of Pokemon, StarDraft, and girlfriends, I really learned a lot from him. After I got tired of chatting with these pubbie folks, I decided to play a series of games and see how I stacked up against the average public bnetter. My results were... mixed. I played around 25 public games over the course of several days, and met many skilled players. (My record on the secret public account I made was 26-1-1). I also learned a lot about public game strategy: if you cant win, disconnect. The following image should illistrate this.

Well, after one of those games, a certain fellow by the name of REK`cah accused me repetedly of map hacking for some odd reason I don't quite remember (this was right before he disconnected). Well anyhow, I figured this guy probably had a HUGE impact on the starcraft community, so I vainly attempted to defend my honor and integrity. It didn't worck so well.

Woohoo I've alweys wanted to be lamer of the week! Err damn this guy is a nobody.
