One Hybrid popped out of the egg and killed the zealot standing by Zeratul
SLASH! Zeratul's warp blade sliced through the hybrid, creating a gory puddle of blood on the cold ground.
"How have these Hybrids come to be? It must be something to do with that wretched creature, Duran," Zeratul asked himself.
Zeratul channeled energy through his mind and asked the Protoss leaders if they would send him a shuttle to transport off of that wretched planet.
About and hour later Zeratul saw a small dot in the sky advancing toward his position. He knew this could be anything so he activated his warp blades.
He soon saw that it was the shuttle that was going to transport him off of the planet. He disactivated his warp blades and waited very patiently.
When he got back to Shakuras he went to the Protoss Council.
"Matriarch, may I collect myself a small warband of warriors and go on a mission to figure out where this Duran creature came from?" asked Zeratul
"You may embark on a mission with a small band of our greatest warriors Zeratul." replied the Martiarch.
The next day, Zeratul and his small band of warriors loaded themselves in a shuttle and proceeded to the planet of Shelak.
"May Adun be with us," Zeratul whispered.
Within the next few hours the Warband unloaded on Shelak. Zeratul decided to to go North, trying to find the Hybrid main territory.
So the Warband proceeded North to find the main Hybrid Territories. The Warband came across several small groups of Hybrids, but they exterminated them.
After four hours of traveling Zeratul preached, "The Hybrid territory is not here, we shall now proceed Eastward." And the Warband did.
Several hours later, Zeratul and his warband glimpsed at the main Hybrid Territory. The warband was spotted and the Hybrids proceeded to attack the small warband.
The Warband was very powerful though and was able to hold off many Hybrid warriors. Crackling sounds of energy were heard in the air, Psi Blades crackled as they ripped through the raw flesh of the Hybrids, Phase Disruptor cannons exploded many Hybrid attackers.
Then Zeratul saw it. The entire race of Hybrids was marching toward the warband to exterminate them. Zeratul silently said, "May Adun protect us."
The warband fought, but lost. The protoss warriors were no match for the entire race of Hybrids. In his last breath, Zeratul gasped to all Protoss warriors, "Within a few short hours, our race will be exterminated."
