2 Newbies and a guy who never REALLY won
I was going on to Battle.Net for the first time in a long time...
I looked throught NoHunters and Pkingdom, but there was no newbies.
YouWinILose wasn't online either. So I created a game on Rivalry: 2v2 NEWBIES ONLY!!!
Immediately several people joined. But there wasn't a 4th person. I
suggested an FFA, and both agreed... So here comes...The Story of...
TWO NEWBIES AND A GUY WHO NEVER REALLY WON...
Me(Zasz147): Blue Zerg, Upper Left
timrekbob: Purple Terran, Bottom Right
Mattias1224: Red Protoss, Top Right
ZEALOT A LA MO
Well it started. I built an Overlord on 8 drones, followed by a Spawning Pool
at 10. I built a second hatch at my ramp. I followed by 6 or 7 (sorry it, escapes me)
Sunkens. Those Sunkens were the only reason I won the game. Me and Mattias shared vision, just to see what eachother was doing. He had a large swarm of
Zealots(maybe 12, 14). By this time I had built 2 control groups of lings,
and put them inside my half-circle of Sunx. By then the Zlots had gotten to
my base. I had a drone in the bottom left hand corner of the map making a hatch, 1
behind the minerals at my natural, and 1 right above the burrowed Lings.
The first time he tried, a Sunken colony killed one of his Zlots and he
retreated. I told him to go get the free Drone. He fell for it. The Zealots
went right into the half circle. They started to rip away at a Sunken.
I unburrowed all 24 Lings, right on top of the Zlots. They were quickly killed.
There was a period of confusion where we all shared vision, and then cut it.
tim tried to nuke Mattias, but his ghost died to soon. What a waste.
EXCEPT for tim...he forgot to turn off vision to me. tim and Mattias allied.
LOOK CAPTAIN! ITS A BUNCH OF MUTANT DOGS!
I morphed replacement Lings, followed by even more Lings. I morphed an Evy
chamber, and morphed a dotted line of Spore Colonys around my base. I had
started mining on my expansions. I unborrowed all 3 conrol groups of Lings.
I grouped them outside my base, and them rammed 'em at Mattias's base.
They gave 1 photon cannon a little dent before dieing. OH
WELL.
THE SKY SHALL BE DARKENED BY THE WINGS OF MANY MUTAS (YES, I did get that from Digimon.)
I used my newly hatched Lair to build a Spire.
After the Spire morphed, I morphed in a Muta. Note: 1 Muta. I had spent alot
of resources earlier. I went hunting Zlots, but Mattias only had them in his
base. I started morphing LOTS of Mutas. I grouped them halfway between me and
Mattias's bases. I sent in the Muta's, but he had WAY more Photon cannons than u
might think. After my Mutas were ripped apart, I started building new ones.
I had noticed a weak spot in Mattias's defense.. I sent in the remains of my
Mutas, and was faced by a buttload of Goon's and a Corsair. I managed to do
lots of damage
before my Mutas died. I amassed a force of 19 Mutas, and sent them into
The defense gap. I ripped apart the Goons, 3 Scouts, and 2 Corsairs.
I proceeded to rip throught the 4 pylons powering his Stargates, and sent in
more Mutas. I shredded the Nexus, but the Probes escaped. They built a
Nexus RIGHT in the back of tims base. Meaawhile: tim was killing my
expansions.I shredded tims only expansion with my Mutas. After that,
tim got fed up, and threw all his forces at my base. Both of my expansion s
died. I had expanded in the space directly inbetween me and Mattias's bases.
tim's forces at my base fell to my Mutas and sunx. He quit... I
shredded 2 pylons in Mattias's base, disabling 1/2 of his defense. Me and
Mattias allied up, and we both won.
So Now You Have Heard The Story of
