Hello fans of Battlereports.com!! I am here for my first battle report featuring Doom- and Protophobic. (Sorry about that gay fan-fiction,my bad) Well, on to the action!
Map:Lost Temple
Doom-: Randomed Zerg 12:00
Protophobic: Randomed Terran 9:00
Doom- starts off cloning drones until he has eight and then sends a drone to his nat and morphs a hatchery while Protophobic starts the standard Terran block in. Then Doom- gets a Spawning Pool and another hatch at below his entrance. Back over at Protophobic's base he has added a refinery and is producing marines out of his one barracks. Then Deon the Peon decides to scout the top 12 position. He finds the hatchery almost fully morphed and decides to turn back.
But halfway back to base Deon turns around and goes back to just out of view of the creep and starts a bunker. It looks like Protophobic has decided on a Terran containment strategy.
Back at Protophobic's base he has added a gas and is still continuosly SCV cloning, with no signs of expanded soon. Doom-, who doesnt know about Protophobic's containment effort, sends 7 or 8 zerglings towards Protophobic's
base. Doom- has also added a gas at his natural and a Liar. On the way to Proto's base one of the lings catches some gauss rifle from the bunker and all of them start to swarm the bunker.
But its no use, because the lone SCV there decides to hide inside, but then pops out looking for action. Instead of fighting it just repairs the bunker (isn't he a chicken?) and saves the young containment effort.
Back at Protophobic's base he has trained six more marines and is sending them to his containment. Deon, (the chicken) is constructing a Factory behind the bunker and has added an Academy beside his Main. But still no effort to use his containment advantage and expand. Doom- then sends 10 to 12 cracklings to Protophobic's main only to be met by a bunker. He turns 'em back and starts to tech again. Protophobic now has his containment mini-base up and running with two SCVs, two bunkers, a Factory and a Barracks.
Then, its gets quiet (Just for a few minutes). Doom- has built a Spire and Queen's Nest and is upgrading to a Hive. He has six mutas and valiantly decides to use them for offence, not defence. He sends them between the containment and Proto's entrance to behind his CC.
There they start to make havoc. Destroying about 7 SCVs before they get to close to a bunker and start to run away. They head back to Doom-'s base to heal their wounds.
Protophobic finally decides to expand to his nat. He also sets up 2 more Siege Tanks at his Containment to hold off the attack that is imminent. Unfortunately for him,Doom- Has teched to gaurds and has 9 of 'em ready for action. He starts on the containment meeting minimal resistance (Range!) and quickly destroys it. Proto, with very minimal defense at his main concludes,"GG, I should've attacked." And leaves.Good Game Both Players!
Lessons Learned:
1) Never let a zerg tech.
2) When you can, out expand your opponent.
Don't play Doom-'s Zerg.
