This proved distracting for we could not set up our own with that thing bubbling and oozing on top of it. Two of our Zealots were called in, and ripped the Extractor apart. Executor Deschain was able to warp in an Assimilator, while also warping a Cybernetics Core, essential for reviving past Protoss warriors into Dragoons.
It seems that the first step of evolution had already taken place, and that a Spire was near completion. Seeing the imminent danger of the flying Zerg Mutalisks, 3 Photon Cannons were quickly warped in to defend our Nexus. Soon, 6 Mutalisks charged the Nexus, with slaughter on their minds, but were forced to retreat, losing one of their number to our defences. A small number of Zerglings charged at our ramp, but our force of Zealots, now numbering 7, drove them away with no losses.
The Zerg resistance was heavy, but our troops marched on victorious, but only to be stabbed to death by two subterranean missiles from nearby Sunken Colonies. But during the battle, our Corsair Pilots were hunting for blood, and soon found it.
The 8 mutalisks that evaded death twice now, were vaporized by Neutron Flares. The slow Zerg abominations called Overlords were also shot down by our veteran Corsairs.
But instead of saving this fledgling expansion, Executor Deschain called upon my Brethren and I to raze the now almost undefended Zerg base. I readied my warp blades, while a group of my kind and a handful of Zealots charged in, killing all but a few of the Zerg defenders.
Their sacrifice was well worth it, for I and 3 others were now called upon to finish the Zerg expansion. I sliced through the Zerglings, splattering their blood on the ground, and then the last of the Hydralisks. The Hatchery erupted into a pool of blood, but remembering what had happened earlier, looked back and saw a pack of Hydralisks jumping
out of their escorting Overlords, and turning our only expansion into a Blood Bath. Two High Templar focused mind and body, throwing a cloud of lightning onto the tightly packed Hydralisks and destroying them.
Along with 5 of my bretheren, and our Corsair Fleet, the Zerg base started to erode away, turning into bony holes and pools of blood. I sliced and stabbed, killing Drones and Hydralisks alike, but then relaxed as reinforcements from Shakuras marched in, slaughtered the Zerg troops, and razed the Zerg Hive, annihilating the Cerebrate mycobacterium2. Our forces emerge victorious from The Heat of The Night.
