Let the games begin!


Ok, im a red zerg at 2:00.
Knowing my oppent picked protoss, I go with
9 pool,
hatchery,
sunkens then overlord.

I send the fast dune runners across the map in hopes of finding the korean oppenent.
*** A dune runner is a zergling.

I find a Brown protoss @ 4:00.

Me : Uh-huh.

I love the hydra rush, I mean 2 hatcherys right next to each other in your main base, pumping hydras. It usually destroys toss.

I lay the smackdown on a extractor, and 6 zerglings are made around key map positions.

I get 100minerals/50gas and lay the smackdown on a hydra den. I tell mr.larva to morph into a overlord. =]

Well, 6 hydras are being made, Hydralisk Speed is being researched and 2 evoultions chambers are getting smackdowned.

Now, before hydralisks are made im at 20/23, all drones.
( The lings got the SMACKDOWN on their roody poo )=[

Now, after a roody overlord is made, I make 6 hydras.

After about 2 mins, I got 24 hydras with speed/range, and I pull out.
The rock says this :
Im going to attack one roody poo zealot at a time.

Well, with THErock with micro in his mind, he sets out.
The korean wasnt expecting the good old hydra rush 8D.

SIDE NOTE NO DIS
A hydra rush is a very good way of attacking a protoss oppenent. It focuses on the point of the oppenent having 10 zealots and about 2 dragoons, but if you target one zealot and such and such, the protoss will fall with constant reinforcements. He WILL fall.
Alas, here I am.

I run up the choke, nothing there. =[
I get all 24 hydras together and I rush him with 2 seperate groups. Immediatly, 16 zealots with 0-0-1 and me 1/1 attack the hydras.

I attack waypoint all the zealots..
( Right click on one, then hold shift+ right click on all the other zealots )
So after 1 is dead, they will target another one =].

Well, I'm thinking this is a bit too easy, ( I got another 16 at home coming )
Then, I look out the window for a sec, and 10 hydras are gone.
The rock says this : WTF
I see a templar moving back. 8*( NOT GOOD.
NO MORE MR.MACRO GUY.

I divide my hydras into groups of 6. 5 groups attack zealots and a couple dragoons, while group #1 goo after the roody poo templar.
I find him, and elminate him.
The zealots got leg now, and it is becoming harder for my hydras. I press key #1. Nothing. #2. Nothing. Nothing until #4-5!! =[

Then, probes come and kill all my left over hydras.
I upgrade to lair, expand 12:00, 9:00, top left, bottom left, and make 20 more hydras or so !!!!!.

I maynard drones almost everywhere, and soon I got about 10 drones at every expansion. Then, mr.korean goes on the offensive.

A reaver , 3 templar and 10-15 zealots attack me.

NOT GOOD K? ^_^



Well, I think I am dead. I have now 30 hydras. Not good, a reaver can kill 8 hydras a shot!.

I divide into groups of 5.
Group #1-2 attack waypoints on the templar.
Groups #3-4 Zealots.
Group #5 -#6, mr.reaver.

Well, amazingly, with my sunkens and drones, it worked out!! =]

I lost all hydras btw =[.
I layed the smackdown on a queens nest, about 3 colonys at every expansion all 5 of them, and make a hive in a second.

I also make 24 hydras. ( I got 4 hatcherys at main )

I put down a spire, and uprgrade it ASAP...

I got about 2000 minerals a minute :). I also got tons of vespene gas.
I lay down 5(!) more hatcherys in my main, and soon my greater spire is done. I make another spire for upgrades.
I research 1/1 make 12 mutas.
1-2 minutes later,

4 control groups of mutas!



I sent 48 mutas and 24 hydras to attack.
.................................................
I like being intimidating, and I make 24 guards over his nexus LOL(!) :).

Storm, scarabs, and singulity charges prove, not to be enough on the day of the swarm.

I come out with 15-20 guards, 8 mutas, and no hydras.
He expanded to 6:00, but I smashed it :)
Well, GG to the korean.
Good game well played.

Lessons learned :
o Hydra rush vs protoss, it didnt come out so good this time, but if you try it, you'll see yourself winning against protoss.
Try a build order as such.
Drones till 9.
Drone#9, spawning pool.
Drone #9 (the other one made a pool) make a hatchery.
Drone.
Extractor.
Overlord.
drones till 18, with 2 sunkens. ( Maybe lings for scout or rush defence)
at 50 gas, make a hydra den.
Plop down 2 evolutions.

Go on as necessary.

o Zerg, must contain/cripple his oppenent at first, then expand as much as possible!
O If he breaks your containment, get it back! You don't know the importance of this.

o Make defences at EVERY expansion.
o If he breaks his containment, he will go clockwise across the map elminating your expansions 8*(. MAKE DEFENCE!! =].

o If he sends all his forces killing your expansions,
attack all out on his main.
