Since I am so tired of all the Stinky clones I decided to mock them by creating the name Shiny`Arbiter. I stumble into no hunters and Ghost is advertising for a 1v1. He is under the name Pr()To$$ err somethin like that.
So he hosts I join and 2 observers follow us in. He selects Toss and since I had early read a ghost report about him playing a nice korean I decide to choose toss as well.
We are playing on temple which personally I like so stop bashing it you fools! Hunters ROX too. Nothin wrong with a little BGH here and there either.
Anyways i get 9 he and try a different build than normal. Normally I go fast goons but I had recently read about Maynards Toss/toss build so I figured he must know sumthin right?
While we're building Ghost (who didn't know he was playing me) starts tellin me how he usually uses 5 probes on minerals and 1 on gas cos thats all u need. I found this amusing and then one of the observers (Twip) starts chiming in about how he should build a pylon already. I think if he knew he was playing me he woulda said something more along the lines of...well i dunno wtf he woulda said. ANyways on to the build...
Pylon on 8 1/2 then double gate on 12 with another pylon on 13. Get zeals and warp core soon with gas after. Dunno exactly when he said to get core. But it worked nice cause I ended up with 6 zeals and goons transition right after.
Anyways scouting probe found him at 6 so i send my zeals over and rally gates to outside his ramp. just before I attack im faced with making another gate or pylon and decide gate since im gonna loose zeals soon anyways.
My 6 zeals meet 4 or 5? zeals at his ramp. Poor Ghost didnt have them in hold position so i lure them to the bottom and engage all of mine against 4 of his. Using a small bit of micro (guys i said a SMALL bit don't laugh at me cos my micro suks) I kill all his zeals with 4 of mine in tact. 2 almost dead but 2 with mostly full health.
At this point the plummer knocks on the door. I just attack move my zeals and realize i forgot a pylon DOH and have to pause it cos i need to let the plummer in.
While he is checkin my stuff I realize GHost killed my zeals but I send in 2 more zeals and 1 goon and still more troops are pouring into his base. He is forced to use probes to defend and kills my attack but now I send in 4 good and its lookin bad for ghost. I start beating on probes but he uses probes and goons and a cannon to repell me of course I have mo goons on the way. At this point I see a (insert the name of whatever them thingies are called before templar archives here) warping in so i know dt are coming. I warp a forge and and send a probe to his ramp where I build a pylon and 2 cannons. I station all my goons close to the cannons and research range and warp in a robo bay.
His Dt pop out and I realize I still have goons in his base beating on something but I'm not really lookin cos im worried about the cannons. I hear the vorpal blades hummin and count as the cannons.....just....warp in. WHEH
Since I havent been watching and im paranoid that he may have slipped one by I make a cannon at my natual where my new shiny nexus is warping in from adun. Thats when I realize there are 2 zealots sitting at my ramp drinking beer (or malt liquor) and playing cards. I send them over to the containment wall and start massing goons and getting an observery.
Im not too concerned about the game but the plummer wants to tell me how much its gonna hurt when he rapes me so once my observer gets to his base i just attack move all my goons and go talk to the plummer.
$137.21 is how much its gonna cost. Sheesh. I dont know if this guy is robbing me or legit so I just scribble my name on his estimate form and tell him i'd happily pay $137 for a working toliet.
Back to the game its over and im looking at the victory screen. My wife pulls into the driveway so I am forced to rapidly depart with out being able to properly taunt Ghost for getting owned to badly
Anywas I wouldnt have made this post except that after a small flame (sheesh maybe just a spark) Mark said I should be quiet and post my own reports. I probably deserve it cos lately I've been kinda on the rag and flaming a lot of people when normally I am the nicest guy on earth. O well
So i guess I learned some good lessons. Hmmm hold them zeals cos im sure he had goons coming. Actually i dont know what build Ghost used but he seriously needs to change it cause I had more zeals after walking them slow bastards across the map. My early attack just put the hurt on him. Also I dont know what to do know should I make FAST goons or use this newer Maynard build....also I learned that hmmmm why did he make a forge I wonder? O well dont listen to me cos I dont even know how to do 3 hatch lings correctly. 8( <-------Elm impersonation
In conclusion I'd like to say that truly it all comes down to skill and skill is most definately imbalanced. Not that I'm any better than ghost really he just made one mistake and it cost him the game. I'd like to thank Mark and Ghost for the inspiration to write this report which I know in my heart it a 10. Oh yeah thanks to TOOL for killing my containment with DT before i knew it cos now that will NEVER happen to me again. THat was sucks for realz.
Oh yeah on more person of course Maynard (I know you're reading this) thanks for letting me use your build and mentioning your name cos you're the best (after the Grrr guy who wins all the cash prizes)
