1) This is partially to make up for a lot of the crap brs I wrote in the post where I used em as my own little soapbox for stupid complaining..
2)In the pregame chat Velo asked that I take a pic of the two account’s horrendous records, and I obliged; enjoy-
4) Finally, during the first part of the game, my notes were really unorganized and I might get some minor things out of order, sorry, but after the first page I got myself together and got organized.
Anyways..
“When Smells Collide”
Map: Rivalry (w/ Observer spots)
stinky_defiler: (Distec) Terran, Top Right
stinky_templar: (Velociraptors) Protoss, Lower Right
Since both players went random they did conservative builds. Distec went with a depot followed by a rax, as Velo did a pylon followed by a gateway. As Velo’s probe enters Distec’s base, both players put up their gas collector buildings. Velo attempts to destroy the SCV constructing Dis’s rax, but is uncussesful, and soon after Dis sends an SCV Velo’s way, wasting time in his peon line, until a zealot kills it.
As Velo begins a cybernetics core Distec begins a factory soon followed by 2nd and around that time places a bunker at his natural’s choke. Velo follows his cyb core with a citadel of Adun as both players scout the map; Distec with mines, Velo with probes. While Velo warps in his templar Archives Distec begins an expansion at his natural.
Not soon after Velo begins an expansion at his natural with 2 templar, 4 goons, roughly 3 zeals, and soon after 3 cannons. Both players maynard peons to their expansions, but Distec’s is up well before Velo’s gets fully running.
Distec begins a naked expansion at 12:00 while getting a 2nd armory and a starport. Around that time Velociraptors moves to attack Dis’s natural with mixed goons/zeals/temps, but is pushed off by tanks and retreats.
Soon after Distec secures the top left natural with bunkers/tanks/mines. Around that time Velo gets a stargate and has 4 gates working on various ground troops. With top-left’s natural secured, Dis begins an expansion on the Top left starting position while Velo secures the 6:00 spot and starts an expansion there.
As I looked at Distec’s base I saw him getting more starports and armories, and I happened to notice a science facility with a phsyics lab add-on. While I noticed that I saw Velo move a large amount of ground troops to 9:00, and with them he attacks the defense on the top left natural. (Velo has been carefully watching Distec with observers for a while).
As Velo mows over the TL defense he moves east where his forces meet with Distec’s army, but Velo retreats and settles with taking out the top left expansion. While Velo destroys the top left expansion he secures the lower left spot as his own, while Distec tries to keep up with resource intake by starting an expansion at 3:00, while making a large amount of tanks/Battlecruisers.
Soon after Velo attacks 3:00 w/ dweb and his mixed ground forces. Distec moves to defend with 3-4 Bcs and many tanks, and keeps Velow at bay quite well. Taking the opportunity, Distec pushes south with tanks/BCs but is held off with a combo of zeals/goons/d-web/psi storm, but it was mainly d-web and psi storm that made the difference. At that time Distec leaves.
Back in the chat we talked a little on how d-web/psi storm are a too powerful combo and things like that. GG to both of you guys, and thanks for letting me watch!
I didn’t have any decent pix of the final battle because Distec left fairly quickly, sorry :( Hope you enjoyed it; GOLD GOLD GOLD!
