Okay, Picture this, a 4 player FFA on dire: 3 Protoss and 1 Terran. In my opinion, it is a key point to try and eliminate someone early, yet nobody did that. Everyone remained quiet at first, then the Fireworks errupted, “ Calm before the strom.”
Early Builds :
DinoDin started with a fast floating CC, being the first to expand, but after defending his base with a single bunker behind a baraks and facotry.
IplayThisToMuch went amililator before a gateway, and following with a cyb. then 2 startports to produce corsairs.
Apsu1000 went fast robotics facility and scouts the map before anyone else.
At this point, reavers were in production and 2 Gateways were made.
Jack_The_Rapist has 2 early gatways accompanied by 2 robotic fac.
Game Time :
At this point in the game, only blue has an expansion in operation, and yellow is following close behind.
White has gotten smart and is building a nexus on the eastern long island below him. While he is doing this, yellow makes a late drop on him, killing a couple probes, and stalls mineral intake before reloading into the dropship at the sight of dragoons and zealots comming.
Thank Goodness ! IplayThisToMuch finally takes the small island to the NE of him. In addition, he harrases Jack_the_Rapist’s expansion with a dragoon/zealot drop, finding minimal resistance from 1 dragoon.
Blue has been Quiet while white is getting annoyed, so lets take a look at what DinoDin is up too. He has 2 tanks, a couple marines/bats with a medic. There is also a starport up and running. (Just guess what he is going to do)
Back on the Island off the coast of Jack_The_Rapist’s main, green is again attacking white, after the first force was crushed due to help from the main. This time it is a single reaver drop . . .killing the base.
“Loose an expansion yet Jack?” Brags IPlayToMuch.
The reply from Jack_The_Rapist : “oh ya”
Lets Recap at this point: Blue, Yellow and Green have expansions while white is floundering like a fish right about now.
Apsu drops a single reaver behind DinoDin’s mineral patch: unsuccesful, the two tanks on the otherside of the CC crush the reaver, but not before a depot and turret are set ablaze.
Jack_The_Rapist takes this time to expand to the small island to his west, unluckily, next to yellow’s main. Apsu strikes again, droping 4 dragoons and 2 reavers on the mildly defended white expansion consisting of 2 canons and 2 dragoons.
On the other side of the map, DinoDin has a single tank stationed behind IPlayThisToMuch’s mineral patch at his expansion via shuttle, accompanied by a wraith. Just then, 5 corsair pop up and kill the shuttle, but the tank continues to demolish the base, just like Apsu is doing to Jack_The_Rapist’s expansion. (YES, the same expansion that is next to yellow’s main)
Lets Recap again shall we? Jack_The_Rapist is out of an expansion again , and IPlayThisToMuch has his peons restricted to gas for the time being.
Right now Jack_The_Ripper is amasing 8 dragoons, 2 zealots and 2 reavers, but Persian-POW and I, Old~Reekar (the 2 observers) are wondering what he is going to do with that army, he has but 1 shuttle, and having 0 expanions, should be in no mood to play defense. . . . .
Luckily, Jack_The_Rapist tries to take back his very first expansion, the Long island below him, by placing a couple canons at the site; just as Apsu is doing with the expansion taken from Jack_The_Rapist.
Tsk Tsk, 2 expansions for Yellow, against 1 of everyone elses.
DinoDin, until now has remained very quiet, maybe that is why IPlayThisToMuch has a couple corsair fly into his main, finding a couple Valks, as well as a Gol.
DinoDin proudly says, “Get that in a ss reekar.” (ss = screen shot)
At this point in the game White is doing terribly, Blue is in the shadows, Green is . . . um . . . (?) , and Yellow, the great, is the choice for victor in this FFA.
DinoDin has a nice Valk. force, as well as cloaked wraiths harassing Jack_The_Rapists Peons at his expansion.
IPlayThisToMuch takes over the 2nd large iland on the western front, only to be disturbed by a 2 dragoon/2 reaver drop. His corsairs are late in killing the shuttles, so the drop was a success.
This is when Persian-POW expresses his ideas, “yellow is just dominating.”
This is when IPlayToMuch respecfully says, “Ill cya guys, gg” and leaves.
Jack_The_Rapist has taken over both ends of the larg island, and is in the process of re-building. This a major relief for him at this point so he will have money to defend against oncomming attacks, especially when Apsu will be concentrating his efforts on either him or blue.
Just then “Nuclear Launch Detected.”
Oh, did I forget to tell you all that DinoDin had a nuke silo at his expansion?
Well, the nuke was placed on Jack_The_Rapist’s island coast, while the ghost was safely on his own island. The nuke riped apart about 4 canons, causing white to focus on DinoDin now.
Hmm, I look over to yellow’s empire, and find 10-12 loaded shuttles . . . Apsu took them to DinoDin’s main base, on the idea that Blue has remained untouched for too long. Dragoons/reavers/dt’s/zealots and templars spewed out, and the battle began.
With the Aid of 2 tanks, Gol’s, a couple marines, the trusty ole bunker, and TONS of lockdown, the attacking force was wiped out.
Trying to figure out what Jack_The_Rapist is doing, I take a look at his empire to find his hands streaching over to the 2nd Long island where IPlayThisToMuch once inhabited, as well as a large dragoon force accompanied by about 7-8 templar.
Unlucky for Jack_The_Rapist, passing observers find his new expansion and Yellow smartly follows with a small drop to wipe out the base of White Scum!!
DinoDin secretly takes over Green’s 1st small expansion and places turets up to prevent drops from both protoss players. At his 1st expansion however, he is nuking again. (White drops coffee on his chest and screems EYOWW while searching for the nuke over his *caugh* vast *caugh* empire. The nuke makes contact with an asimilator, a phlyon and a canon.
An Air battle involving Corsairs and Valks ensues on the long island on the western side.
HOTDOG !! Yellow does another massive drop on blue, even lockdown couldn’t save DinoDin, and his entire base was demolished. Then, from the corner of my eye, I find 12 arbiters comming towards blue’s empty base . . (he didn’t know) he used hallucination ofcourse, and still recalled his troops even though there was nothing there to kill except yellows remaining forces . . Yellow, totaly demolished all those dragoons with reavers and such. It was a total catastrophe. What a waste too !!!
(Yellow now starts on his 4th base, the last on the map.)
Ok, now I realize how hard writing about FFA’s are, and so to make a long story short, In the absence of Yellow’s troops at his main: trying to defend the new expansion on the long western island, as well as attacking blue, Jack_The_Rapist makes constant attacks on Apsu’s main via recall. Once that base is demolished, and Apus’s southern expansion below his *once* main base, is also get blasted at by tanks on IPlayThisToMuch’s old base.
With only a couple of buildings on the far side of the expansion that DinoDin’s tanks can’t reach, and the besiges on that new island by Jack_The_Rapist, Apsu is dethroned.
Being totaly dead, (Old~Reekar and Persian-POW) the observers ally with him and give him vis.
Jack_The_Rapist has gotten lucky a few times and attacked at the right moment, and thanks to all that, he has the last real mineral patch on the map.
As of now, it is only a matter of time before DinoDin is toast as well. Many nukes later, and many boring days later, Jack_The_Rapist finally attacks! (Thank the lord)
DinoDin’s island below Jack_The_Rapist’s newly claimed island died in a heart beat, being out of money and room, there was no hope really.
On the other hand, DinoDin’s first island had many turrets, a bunker, and several Gol’s. It was awsome, to bad he couldn’t get the right arbiter. Those hallucinations are tricky . . . sparks flew, arbiters blew up into dust, turrets ceased to fire, but all was done.
DinoDin was fish food, even though only a couple dragoons were left of the attack force. Wanting to fluant I guess, Jack_The_Rapist dropped again on the dead island.
Good Game Folks, it was enjoyable to watch. This is my first BW, and I think it shows, but who cares?? FFA’s are the best to right about, so LONG LIVE THE KING. <---- (FFA’s or Me, Old~Reekar, you pick)
