This was my second game on B.net and I thought that a two on two would be fun to play so I went looking for a game. Finding only Bgh (arg) and ascii characters I decided to once again make my own game on one of my friends favorite maps, Continental Divide. It is a 256 by 256 map and has eight starting positions.

Surprisingly it wasn't very long before we had three more players and top versus bottom was decided. I was a little worried as both my opponents had exceptional records of approx. 153-68-2 and 45-20-1. This battle was almost 3 weeks ago so please take it easy.

Pregame

I went my usual random and my hatchery morphed in the 6:00 starting position while my partner choose protoss and warped in his nexus at the 9:00 start.
vs
enemy one: choose protoss
enemy two: choose terran

The cerebrate had given me and my drone buddies a vacation and so we had an overlord drop us off at a remote planet. Here we could relax and have spitting contests to see who could get the max distance or height. Swirt was always winning these contests and would always rub it in. Bastard.

We were doing vodka shots and being the Ukrainian drone I am, the others were lying under the table while I merrily drank some more. All of the sudden the cerebrate relayed to me that the planet we had just arrived at was infested with a protoss tribe and a terran brigade. Even in my alcoholic haze I knew that two opponents would likely be too many and so I asked for help and the cerebrate said that strangely enough another protoss tribe had agreed to fight along with us.

So we landed and I was put in charge since I was the only drone who could stand at the moment and I quickly morphed into my new hatchery home. I ordered my lazy assed friends to get up and start gathering minerals or there would never be any more vodka shots.

I decided to play it safe and stick with a 10/9 opening. I proceeded to build a spawning pool, overlord, and extractor for early gas. I sent swirt out to scout as I really didn't care if the arrogant long spitter ever came back.

My partner had gone with an pylon on 8, gate on 10, forge on 12, pylon on 14, and warped in two cannons to cover his buildings. All the while he was making zealots and when he had about five he decided to warp in a cyper core.

In the mean time swirt had found the enemy humans trapped on the ledge of the 3:00 mid start and the enemy protoss at the mid 9:00 start. Swirt being the cocky bastard that he was couldn't back down from a challenge a tried to outspit a cannon. His resulting death was bloody but I really never liked the guy anyway.

Swirt had served his purpose as I found that th protoss had gone with a double gate opening with a forge and two cannons. He was warping in cybernetics core, citedal, and had about four zealots.

During this time my partner had continued to make zealots and had a couple goons. I had not been slacking either as I had morphed another hatch, a few sunkens, hydra den, evolution chamber, and was morphing my hatchery.

For troups I now had about 12 zerglings so I attacked from the top right side and the bottom. I sent two zerglings from the bottom to draw out the zealots and then snuck the rest into his probe line. This worked very well except that the cannons picked off zerglings and the zealots soon made it back to clean up. I was happy though as I had gotten some probes and set him back a bit.

My next force was just to keep the pressure on as I attacked from the left side with about six zerglings to try and take out the assimilator. I almost succeeded but wasn't worried because all the while I had been making zerglings and hydras and had about six of each. I also got speed for hydras, attack for ground, carapice, lurker and was working on hydra range.

I assembled a strike force of about 8 zerglings, 8 hydras, and three lurkers near the center approach. My partner had been teching all this time and decided to help with probably 5 zealots and three goons.

I set up my lurkers just out of range of his buildings and let my partner attack the center drawing his 8 zealots and about 3 dragoons into my lurkers who got some good free hits and then I sent my extras to attack too.

The protoss opponent drew his men back out of lurker range and a bloody battle ensued. I moved my lurkers to attack the buildings just out of cannon range and brought reinforcements of hydras, lurkers and zerglings. In this time the opponent had defeated all of our forces losing all his troups except a couple goons and a zealot.

Before my reinforcements got there the terran finally joined the battle with two wraiths and a comsat. They killed two lurkers before my hydras destroyed them and the remaining protoss forces. The protoss then left the game and the terran quite saying two on one that it was over.

My protoss ally and I sat down and shot some vodka to celebrate victory and then left with a good game.

lessons learned:

1) Always scout. Because I scouted I new where to attack from to get at the probes.

2)Attack from multiple angles at the same time and from different angles in the future attack. I forced him to defend all angles because I never came at him just one way.

3) Always make troups at home.(nuff said)

4)coordinate attacks in two on twos

5) Try to draw forces away from your main attack to do more damage.

Sorry no pics but wasn't planning on this. Hope you enjoyed and please comment on how I can improve my game or report.
