I want to note, I am a newbie when it comes to the online tactics of Starcraft. I still can hold my ground when it is needed. I'm on some quant little piece of land and I start my normal production line.

My lay out is messy but for the most part I am doing all right. I circle my base with depots and have at this point a single barracks. I make the mistake of not doubleling up on those. Well in comes the first wave of Zerglings. My Bunker has like, two marines in it. I sent all of my SCV's to repair and those two little marines (0/0 No boosted range) do it. I immediately begin to pump out the marines while getting some more depots in. At this point I have got his area scouted from the first rush. A hatchery, spawning pool, and 4 drones getting supplies.

I laugh... but not before the guy wisens up and attacks the top half of my base that has no defense from my lower bunker. I sick my entire swarm SCV's and unload my marines plus a handfull floating around. Lost about 4 SCV's.

I wisen up, put a bunker up top and load it with marines. At this point both bunkers are loaded with some firebats. Third wave... fried again. I want to have some fun. This guy has no building and is zergling me. I start my factory and upgrade and have my first tank when the guy "lags" I am not about to let this one slip... I sit up, go get some soda, loaf around, play a round of FF Tactics and after about four minutes give up.

I think I know why this guy was 45/2/0.

I learned a bit from this match and it gave me experience so I am better. I am hoping I can give some advice for newbies though:

1: You get ONE chance to rush. You have to make it good.

2: Resources are a necessity.

3: If a single Marine can take out half of your SCVs/Workers/Drones, your are doing something wrong.
