Pop! Goes the Zergie

In my first zerg island war in ages, we are to study The Ways Of The Hydralisks. The forces were....

[LoC]Kyro, starring as White Zerg in top left, leads a Zerg Rebellion on Dire Straits! [LoC]Cutthroat, my clannie-ally was compelled to lead the Red Protoss into the civil war!
But on a darker note..... MikeEddington tyranically marches his Teal Zerg into the war...
and worse, GoHan[SSC] was commanding his Brown Zerg in this battle...

The Romping Grounds: Dire Straits

Pre-Battle:
I was idly wondering what to do while producing a pretty half-hearted Hydra drop. I went with a lot of early buildings, so my drone count was six on minerals, three on gas most of the early game. I did double-lair for upgrades, but my second Lair finished as my Pneumatic upgrade finished, leaving me to do both upgrades on my first Lair. There was, however, a definite upbeat to it, that being that, waiting for an Overlord, I had noticed a surplus of gas and chose to to research for Lurkers. I did a typical Hydra drop then, but replaced 4 Hydras with 2 Lurkers.

Doom of the Heroic Protoss:
My ally had been pumping Corsairs to do a number on the enemy overlords, and thus I knew that my Zerg enemies were massing Hydras and I urged my ally to abandon his frivilous pursuit of Ovey-Killing and instead scramble for a last-minute-notice Reaver. Unfortunatly, while his RoboFacility was warping in and while my Overlords were cruisin' over to unload some bloodshed in Brown decided that the Protoss had no business in Zerg internal affairs, and unloaded 16 Hydras in my poor ally's base, obliberating a few Dragoons and pathetic Corsairs before laying waste to his Protoss encampment with the aid of new-dropped Teal Hydralisks.

Vengeance for the fall of my ally:
But.... the rebellious White Zerg had unloaded his deadly cargo in Teal's creep-ridden sanctuary! My Hydra-Lurker Drop Team had wiped out Teal's

In a mocking attempt to prolong his survival, the Protoss commander warped a Pylon along the northernmost edge of his base, frustrating the hunter-Zerg enemies as much as did the continued survival of Teal did to me, despite his base having been lost to my superior forces with zero losses.

No matter, however, i chose to chance a strike into Brown's main, by sending my overlords south to his vile home. He followed the lessons of 'Vive Le Lurker!' and had two burrowed in his Drone lines. They were not enough to defend against my Hydras and Lurkers, though they did reduce me to two Lurkers and four Hydras =[, which continued to wreak havoc by destroying his Evolution Chamber, Spawning Pool, and Hydra Den, all of which were lined up in a nice little row for my Lurker's Subterranian Spines to puncture.

Counterstroke:
A score of Hydralisk from both Brown and Teal leap from a total of 8 Overlords to assault my main base. However, I sent out a trio of Lurkers to burrow beside Brown's forces. This move was of little success however, and it left me with no Lurkers.. except for the next trio that was currently morphing! The voracious enemy Hydras waited for the last of Teal's reinforcements to come from the bottom to attack, however, giving me time to finish my Lurkers and burrow them behind my Hydralisk hordes. The enemy came, and we fought. (See image below)

Mopping up:
My forces were victorious (tho after studying the image it seems to be a last-ditch attack), and I loaded up into Overlords to drop Teal's newly discovered expansion on the top-middle island between my main and that which was his formerly. However, he is STILL not dead! I find a hatchery and a quartet of Hydras on one of the central strips, and drop it to oblivion, and I am vastly rewarded by the sight of 'MikeEddington has been eliminated'.

My doom-working Hydra-Lurkers find themselves caged up in transports to be taken into Brown's base, where they quickly lay waste to the meager standing forces of my once-dominating Zerg foe, and we see that 'Go]-[an[SSC] has left the game'.

Victory!
