I had heard it said many times that after you play broodwar, you will be much much better at vanilla starcraft.
I am here to tell you this:

The Principle of Starcraft Reincarnation:

If you die in broodwar, you will come back as a god in Vanilla starcraft.

The players:

Terran1
Terran2
vs
protoss1 (that's me)
Protoss2 (my partner)

The map

Homeworld

I started out by cloning my peons to the minerals, starting another peon, hotkeying my nexus, and allying with my partner. The lag was extreme, and I didn't see my partner's town. I built 8 peons, built a pylon, and started the 9th.

Around the time I got my second gateway in, my ally finally ally'd up. I looked at his town, and my heart sank. He had 4 peons, 3 mining the same crystal, and one peon sitting at the nexus. He was lagging badly, and Terran1 and terran2 were yelling at him to leave.

I knew I was going to be fighting this alone, and I knew I couldn't expand this early, so I queue'd up a few more peons, put down another gateway, queue'd up 3 zealots, then waited a minute to build a cyber core. I needed speedy zealots, and fast.

I sent 2 peons out to map the board (which I was unfamiliar with) and hopefully to find one of the two terrans.

At this point my partner lost his connection. Amid cheers from the terran scum, I silently vowed that I would win this match.

Just about the time I had 12 zealots, a citadel with speed almost researched, and peons almost maxed out, one of my scouts found terran1. Actually, it found terran1's bullets. ("Taps" plays in the background)

I took a key of speedy zealots up to the enemy camp, killed his marines in a shower of blood (no bunkers) and wiped out all of his peons (no gas either, cocky little terrans, aren't they?). He lifted off his barrack and cc, and I turned his supply depots to powder. About this time, terran2 sent 8 marines in, and they watered the ground with blood as well.

I continued on to take out a terran2 expansion attempt, a small attack on my town, and was headed for another terran2 expansion (couldn't find Terran1! grrrr!) When the message flashes across the screen:

"will you ally with us?"

"Pleeeease?"

I decided that enough blood had been shed today (even if it was all terran blood :) ), and agreed to ally if they shared vision with me.
