Well, it was lost temple.

Twas me and upgraded probe (both terran at 3 and 12 respectively) versus axcer and ronin (both zerg at 9 and 6)

The wacky terrans both reconned at roughly the same time, and lo and behold, we see both of the zerg trying to take their natural.

Ho ho ho, this is just too good to be true. They'll both be low on units, and we can just swarm them easily.

So, we decide to try something new out.

We both lay down a bunker at the second hatchery that the zergies are building.

At this point, things get hazy. I send 2 scvs down there to help with the bunker, and i rally my marines there.

Six lings pop out and the scv's have a little war with the lings, being supported by a lone marine that finally arrives. The fighting's pretty intense, so i completely lose track of my partner (fatal in team games)

the second hatchery finishes. . .and is killed by my marines. Upgraded probe tells me that his bunkering attempt has been less then successful. Drat.

So, might as well try and push my luck. The 3 scv's charge up the ramp supported by 8 marines below. They duke it out with the lings on the ramp, and of all things, find a hatchery at the top of the ramp! Sunkens are thrown down but they are too late. The marines take out their second hatchery for the day and go around to the other side of the zergs base.

At this point in the game, i check the map and see that upgraded probe has mined the map like a bizatch. Hrmmm, okie dokie.

Back to the southern zerg. Out of the range of the sunkens, the marines take out his lair. Six o'clock zerg is now effectively out of the game, making this a 2 on 1.

My attention is now finally on axcer. Hrmm. He has sunkens at his expansions, and isn't going anywhere.

Shoot, he must know that he's contained. What is he doing?

Uh oh, "get anti air" i scream. literally 2 seconds after i say this, a horde of mutas swarms probe. Uh oh.

My marines come to help him, and the mutas attack me. doh.

this goes on for a bit, and we're just taking a licking.

the whole time i was working with the 6 o'clock base, my main was pretty neglected. i have an expansion, but lack the tech to break the sunken. upgraded probe has spent all his cash on vultures, and almost nothing on marines.

The mutas proceed to own us, and axcer ends up beating a 2 on 1.

Lessons learned:

-even if you have an intense combat situation, you still have to keep up on things. i never saw Axcer's spire just because i was too busy with ronin.

-vultures don't do squat against sunkens, and shouldn't be built if a zerg sunkens up.

-offensive bunkering a zerg is pretty goshdarn fun. just be sure to bring an extra scv or two to help with repairs. 6 lings pounding on a bunker with 1 marine in it will win. if you got 3 scv's attacking the lings and repairing, its a different story completely.

-stupid mutas.
