Greetings, readers. I am the Wererhynadon, partner of the Weremuppet of battle report fame as Cuptoman. But, this is a tail in which the muppet sadly failed in his duty. The map was Primeval Isles, a 256x256 Island map. The set up was a 2v2 with me protoss as usual and Weremuppet playing Terran. Our opponents, Blue and Green, played Zerg and Protoss respectively. I was in the Northeast corner, Weremuppet in the Southwest, blue in the Northwest and green in the west. My distant position worked greatly to my advantage as quite early in the game, Weremuppet was knocked off battle.net. Expecting defeat, I continued playing. I got shuttle tech as soon as possible and expanded once. Meanwhile I scouted with corsairs and started planting observers everywhere. I used an expansion and recond tactic that worked fairly well for me. I'd send observers out to the expansion islands then keep moving them outward as I took control and fortified the Islands. Since Primeval Isles is nearly completely a fleet map I neglected templar and reaver technology in favour of a heavily upgraded fleet. By the time I had two expansions in addition to my base camp, I came under attack by a small protoss fleet. These scouts and few carriers were easily defeated by my mixed corsairs and scouts. I soon reinforced this victorious fleet with 6 carriers and stormed West looking for battle. I had seen little of the zerg but queens and overlords and was worried about a horde descending onto my islands of which I now had four. Fortunately, the zerg player sounded like he was being harrassed for staying up too late playing Starcraft and was not too dangerous. But, I ended up finding a Protoss base before I encountered the swarm. The base was heavily defended by photon cannon but I had 8 corsairs and dwebed about 10 cannon before destroying the base. He did come to its rescue with a midsized mixed fleet that included 2 arbiters for cover which worked since I had no observer support. But, his unit control was sloppy and I defeated this fleet losing no carriers but 6 of my 6 scouts and 5 of 8 corsairs. I turned what was left of my fleet north while rushing observers to join it when I was attacked by cloaked wraiths. He had started a terran base with my ally's SCV's and was using cloaked wraiths to great effect finishing off my corsairs and severely damaging a carrier before my observers arrived. I just sent my 6 carriers north to attack whatever was in the NW corner and they were lucky enough to plough through 2 or three Zerg bases before another green fleet caught them and finally defeated the valiant vessels. But, I wasn't neglecting my home while on the offensive. I'd rebuilt my fleet even better. It was now fully upgraded 6 scouts, 10 corsairs, and 8 carriers with 2 observers for support. My observer screen noticed a huge fleet of overlords coming my way at this time and I sent my scouts and corsairs to investigate. I think it was a huge hydralisk/ultralisk drop but I'll never now since the overlords all died. Blue surrendered at this time under pressure from a parent it seemed. But, the real threat, the other protoss fleet builder remained. I came at him from the north and started attacking what seemed to be his main base. I lost 2 carriers to mind control so decided to reinforce the fleet with 6 more bringing the total to 12. In the assault on his main base and fleet, I lost 3 corsairs and those two carriers but slaughtered everything. The six reinforcing carriers ended up coming up on one of his expansions before meeting the fleet and destroyed it. At this point, my opponent started complimenting me and shared vision. I shared vision as well, but I was not willing to ally with him which I think he was hinting at. We had a short discussion while I smashed his last undefended mining colonies and we wished each other well after this great battle.

Why did I win? I think I pulled off the 2v1 for a few reasons. One, the zerg player wanted to use drop tactics (I hope otherwise he wasn't doing anything much) which failed due to my cannon perimeters and the interception of his overlord fleet. Two, the protoss didn't use corsairs until he realized the brutal effectiveness of mine. Three, I upgraded faster and devoted all my resources to expansion and the fleets. And finally, it was lucky I decided to come at the Protoss from straight north of his main bases. All of his production capabilities were on those bases and if I'd hit his mining facilities first he could have beaten me back possibly with continual reinforcements. He actually did beat me in the resource statistics.

My Kill Stats:
Units: 312P 400K 82L
Buildings: 101B 143R 4L

Footnote: After this obeastious game, I played one of the worst in my life. A new fool irritated his partner who fled. My partner and I's policy regarding accidental 2v1 is to offer our enemy an alliance at the end if he faught honorably and behaved well. This fellow was the worst I've ever seen. I had a good early set up, plenty of probes, 2 gateways a forge, many pylons and 8 zealots. Weremuppet attacked this fellow who was also protoss with 12 zerglings and found only 6 probes, 2 pylons, a gateway, and assimilator, and a cy core. And this fool called us cheating bastards. Silly footnote, disregard it.
