"Last in line was Advisor "CB". His nickname was based on "Cattlebruiser", although none of the men were quite sure where the name had come from. Some infantrymen whispered that it came from a particularly bad night back home involving thirteen shots of whiskey, a herd of cattle, and a twenty-two year-old Animal Husbandry major. Others swore on the fact that a bloody cow's head was hung in his locker, a testament of what would happen to the men if they ever got out of line. Whatever the case, CB was fiercely competent." -~CattleBruiser~

There's Just Too Many Of Them, Sir!
I'd just come out of a game and was, naturally, famished. So, I made it clear in channel NoHunters that I wanted to watch a game. Thus, sandwich in hand, I joined a 1v1 on Lost Temple.
The setting:
The map: well-known, well-loved, over-played Lost Temple
InactiveAccount (Teal Random Zerg) @ 9:00 start
vs
Phenobarbitol (White Random Terran) @ 3:00 start
(Random vs Random, real Hard Men =])
InactiveAccount immediately starts by saying "dammit, I hate Terrans" obviously in an attempt to mislead his opponent. However, not to be decieved, Pheno started a Barracks before a Depot to counter the possibility of a 6pool rush. Meanwhile, IA chooses the risky early expansion move. By this time, both opponents had scouted each other, and Pheno was well aware of the hatchery morphing at IA's choke. To combat this, he starts assembling an infantry army, upgraded and diversified by an Academy and an Engineering Bay.
Eventually, he moves his infantry force towards IA's base. I say "eventually" because he was more than a little slow about it. When he gets there, he scans the defenses of the fledgling hatchery and decides that retreat is the better option, and starts moving his infantry back.

Pheno's skwad
However, a small probing party of Zerg errupt out of IA's base, getting mown down by the magnetic rounds of marine fire.
By this time, both sides have greatly diversified their forces: IA has Zerglings, Hydras, Lurkers and Mutalisks whereas Pheno has backed up his M&Ms and Firebats with Tanks. Pheno moves up to outside IAs expansion to contain Zerg, building a Bunker and a Turret.

Pheno's army moving up to contain the Zerg
He starts trying to Tank push, but the combined might of the Swarm eradicate the outnumbered Terrans.

The containment force after the push is repelled
Pheno then decides to use a bit of subterfuge and moves 6 marines, an SCV and a Tank onto the cliff overviewing IAs expansion. The SCV builds a Bunker, and the Tank sieges then starts to fire at the Sunkens guarding IAs hatchery. In response, IA plays his trump card: a large flock of Mutalisks engage the Terrans on the hill, eradicating with low losses, despite a Science Vessel chucking Irradiate around.

Uh oh... poor Terrans =(
Then, his very large army attacks the containment blockade, wiping it out.

"Contain this!"
Clearly the added economy of that second expansion gives the Zerg an incredible edge.
Pheno had expanded to his natural, and was desperately trying to establish defences, when IA sends another large flock of Mutas, straight into Pheno's main. Fortunately, Pheno has sufficient forces to drive IA off. Both suffered massive casualties (I think only 1 Muta survived), but the difference is IA can afford it.
The end came, as it always must, when IA send his army, a huge swarm of Hydras, Lings and Lurkers to eradicate his opponent off the map. Outnumbered around 4 to 1, the Terran base falls extremely fast, with Pheno cursing his lack of Da Skillz.

There's just to many of them, Sir! AAARGH!
Kerrigan's Swarm was victorious today.
Lessons:
- Don't hesitate to attack, and when you decide to, and be fast about. Pheno really took way to long to attack, clearly teching too much, and by the time he did, IAs economy had taken off.
- It might have been better for Pheno to ferry his troops up to IAs plateau and attack the Zerg main. Trying the cliff was a good idea, but without full M&M support, the attack was doomed.
- Another possible counter for the Zerg early expansion might have been for Pheno to expand right there and then too. By the time Pheno did, he needed an army; with an additional 8 marines, the battles might have turned in the Terrans' favour.
- Umm... yeah, something involving malt liqour.
Ah, the benefit of hindsight...
