I went public yesterday (I was smurfing with "Necrosausage!!" - creative, isnt it :) to train my zerg/terran skills, after winning a 2v2 with lameass germans (one went a very creative Zerg build order - Hatchery - EvoChamber - Assimilator, sigh) with Zerg, and beating a 4 pooler with Terran (he killed my opponent - 2v1, his ally drops - 1v1 -> he is dead), I searched around to find a game that is not on BGH, and I found an 1v1 game on normal Hunters.
I dont remember my opponents name, but it sounded Korean, and so I asked:
N: "Are you Korean?"
K: "yes"
N: "Do you speak English?"
K: "A little"
"Sigh, a Korean, another cheap win" I thought
Damn - after going random (he chose Terran), I actually ended up with Protoss :(. I wanted to practice Terran/Zerg so I was a lil disappointed.
Protoss-Terran with a Korean opponent. "A VERY cheap win if he doesnt disconnect" I thought, and so I went my normal DT rush
I started at 6, while he started at 12, and found me pretty early. A few seconds before my first DT popps out, 8 Marines rush in, kill my lone Zealot, but only shoot on various buildings instead of killing my probes. After my DT was out I killed them all and went to his base with 2 DT
I managed to kill a few Marines and a Turret along with several SCVs, but the attack wasnt too successful - he was quick with running, stimming, and scanning in the right moment.
I continued my DT attacks and xpanded the first time (to my gimmie).
I kept the pressure on with Reaver drops and DT/Dragoons, but I never really got throught (he had plenty of mines now), so I decided to xpand yet again (to the 7 starting spot)
I went 4 StarGates Carries with ground support now, and thought I would break his resistance in seconds with my first carriers.
However, after he attacked my xpansion at 7 with a swarm of Vultures, and I killed him off with a Carrier, he knew what to build now - Goliaths from 3 Factories!
Around this time, he xpanded to his gimmie, and I tried various Carrier attacks from different sides, always to be killed by range upgraded Goliaths and later Lockdown (Yes! this Korean Hunter player did use spells!)
However, with the ressources from 2 xpansions I soon had overpowered him in land groups with storm support and he left with a "gg" (yes, he said "gg" instead of disconnecting)
Lessons learned:
1) This BR sucked, give me a 1, Im just writing it to show you the good type of Korean Hunter player
2) He was good, he said "gg", he used spells, and as I asked him if he always plays Hunters he said "no" - I actually liked this guy
3) Not all Koreans are cheaters or disconnectors
4) Carriers suck vs Terran. Only use them when you are ahead in minerals or u have heavy D-Web support (hehe, Goliaths walk around in a dozen DWebs and cant fire, hehe)
