Since I thought it a pity that Arccos[Xp]'s report was in dutch and still received a lot of comments from this english speaking community, I translated it for you. Maybe someone else can figure out how to add the pics.

Happy reading: and remember this isn't my report, I just translated it (badly sometimes). I hope you're okay with that Arccos.

The First show match of Broodwar.nl was about to start, Two very respected players from the Dutch Broodwar scène made their appearance, namely nv Zergg and InC)Singu.TL. The first map on the menu was the relatively new Tau Cross.
Game 1: Tau Cross

Tau Cross

After wishing each other good luck the First showmatch was under way. Zergg spawned as Zerg of course at 9 and Singu as his favourite Protoss at 2. Zergg opened with a fast gass while Singu covered his own natural with a pylon and a gateway. When Zergg’s first 6 lings crawled from their eggs, Singu just finished a zealot. This brave warrior immediately went to the attack and headed for the base of Zergg. The lings that the zealot encountered looked like they would withdraw but finally decided to continue to Singu’s base. On arrival there a couple of probes and two zealots waited to block the way. Zergg however saw an small opening and ran through with his 6 lings. That really set the tone.

Once in the base the lings couldn’t kill more than a pair of probes. The storm abated for a little while and both players took the time to start up an expansion. Even though Singu tried to put on the pressure with three zealots, Zergg didn’t loose his concentration.
Before Singu had gottten even a drop of vespene gas the zerg had nearly morphed his Lair.

To the neutral observer it was clear that Zergg was teching to muta's. Once the spire was morphed there were only frightingly few cannons in Singu’s main.

Zergg’s muta’s arrived in the base of Singu just when he was morphing an archon and a couple of cannons were about to spawn. For Singu it was a race against the clock. Would his cannons warp in time to stop the muta’s? The archon bought it first, He morphed 5 seconds too late.

However, it looked as if the cannons would spawn in time. Only, by good micro of Zergg he managed to eliminate all (morphing) cannons with minimal losses. Dark clouds were gathering over Singu.

After the cannons Singu’s nexus bought it as well. By cleverly evading an archon Zergg managed to destroy the nexus. Luckily Singu still had his expansion. Zergg decided to regroup and then to attack Singu’s main again. Meanwhile a new nexus had arisen in place of the destroyed one. However the cannons where late again and cold be dealt with by the cluster of muta’s before spawning. Of course the probes made a run for it.

Singu realized he was loosing (I know: bad translation) and had to take action in order to win. But even as his fighting the muta, Zergg had already taken an expansion and outfitted it with a couple of sunkens.

The zealots that arrived were merrily welcomed by Zergg with a large amount of lings and muta's.

The few zealots that did arrive didn’t know how fast they should retreat. In the end they all perished before they made to their safe harbor. The first game looked it was decided in Zergg’s favor. In an elegant way he knew to finish the game. A drop of zerglings supported by muta’s set course for the expansion of Singu.

The drop was mercilessly hard. A swarm of zerglings and muta’s raged across the expansion of Singu.

Nothing remained for Singu except to type gg  and prepare himself for the next game. The batlle was fought, but the war wasn’t by far.
