Onxyia’s Attack!

Good evening, I am merely someone who saw this nice story on a message board, asked permission to post it, and got that permission. I am here to give props to XHunters, a very decent person who wrote the following report. It is short but very nice, and please be kind as it’s my first time posting/ his first time writing. Enjoy.

The Battle at Mount Doom.. I mean just read

Kwong invited me to be a spectator in this very rare and legendary quest he was doing. Apparently he saved one of the highest ranking officers in the Alliance military, Field Marshal Reginald Windsor (level 63) . He's supposed to have been one of the Paladin General Turolyn's underlings in the Warcraft II storyline, along with the general who sits in front of the city of Stormwind, General Marcus. .

Kwong accompanied him from the Stormwind moat bridge to the gate of Stormwind where a dismounted General Marcus and 3 Stormwind guards on each side of him stood alert and blocked the Marshal's way. Lady Katrana's voice yelled in red, shouting not to let the Marshal in the city and to imprison him. .

His mission was to expose that the king's top advisor, Lady Katrana, is really the dragon Onyxia. General Marcus seemed to be aware of this mission without the Marshal having to tell him, and there was a dialogue between the two great officers. The General originally intended for follow his orders not to let the Marshal in, but the Marshal persuaded him. He seemed to be revered by all, including the General himself. With some hesitance and admission of the corruption of the Alliance's crown, he alongside of all the guards kneeled and made way for him. .

The Marshal instructed Kwong to come along with him, and we all walked with the Marshal slowly to the Stormguarde keep, where the king and her alleged draconian advisor lay wait.

We proceeded to the keep. The great Marshal walked a slow and calm pace, poised with confidence. It was apparent great burden was on his shoulders. You can see as we pass, all the guards whisper words of reverence to this legendary hero.

As soon as we get to the steps of the royal chamber, Lady Katrana is heard voicing that he will be imprisoned and tortured at the stake. And that his accusations are baseless. The Field Marshal makes his accusation, and he can see right through all of Lady Katrana's denials.The Marshal then addresses the boy king, "Your Majesty, please leave the chambers to someplace safe." And with that the boy king darted to his room like the little school boy that he is.

Lady Katrana says that the Marshal has no material evidence of his claims. The Marshal says he has an ancient dragon tablet with a prophecy of Dragon Queen Onyxia's infiltration of Azeroth royalty, and that it will prove everything. She says no one can even read draconian in Storm Wind. Then he starts to cast a spell. The spell forces Lady Katrana's true form to reveal itself to all. Take special notice to the "Royal guards" that have been surrounding the king all of this.

Lady Onyxia, now revealed in her true form, says that in this prophecy that the Marshal saw, did he see himself surviving? Because she's about to assure his death. She struck at the Field Marshal before anyone could respond, and then disappeared. The royal guards reveal themselves to be Onyxia's elite guards, and start to wreak havoc! These guys do like 1700 damage a hit at a fast rate, being level 60 elites. The guards rush to stop the Elites, only to be swatted by flies. We all start inching our way back as the guards are helpless to occupy these bloodthirsty dragon spawns. The Marshal is on the floor, the guards are all dead, and things were starting to look really bad for all of us.

The King's sworn protector, the High lord Bolvar, champion of Stormwind, is left to fight the six elite dragons by himself. Danine started panicking and running around like a pansy only to gets the smack down by one of the dragons tired of hearing Danine's whining. Also some level 60 paladin who was watching died.

It seemed all hope was lost...

As the High lord took up his sword and joined battle, we realized he was very, very powerful, and a match for this elite group of dragon spawns. To quote Kwong, "holy shit High lord Bolvar Fordragon is raping them."

He was not alone however. Everyone was dead except for me, cause Im just good like that, and the battle raged on. I dispatched clan Knight Laterael when things were getting heated between Katrana and the Marshal earlier, and he took his sweet time and finally came. Laterael took a few swings and got owned so hard that he divine shielded and went and curled up behind one of those columns. The highlord defeated the dragon mobs with about 2/5ths of his health still remaining. This screenshot was taken after the fight. The highlord knelt down and apologized to the dead Marshal. Apparently this whole time, everyone neglected to resurrect the Marshal. And being that hes on some kind of government underbudgeted veteran retirement program, his terms are that if he doesnt get resurrected within a short period of time upon death, his character deletes. So there goes one of Azeroth's legendary heroes. Lady Onyxia was nowhere to be found (a prop for Onyxia's lair instance)

You can see Laterael here waltzing around like he was the hero of the hour, shouting something about how he put blessing of kings seal on Bolvar and how that somehow made him able to take all of those elites. The king finally returned after a few more minutes, and after about 10 minutes Lady Katrana and the royal guads respawend and everyone made as if nothing had ever happened. That poor boy king must have all sorts of bad nightmares. What a traumatic childhood ot have.

This was a very cool, detailed quest that anyone could watch, and it was a pleasure to have been there. I hope Blizzard has many more quests of this epic nature waiting for us.
