I create a game on this little known map that no one ever plays. Its called Lost Temple. I select Terran. A Loser/abuser joins and calls out no disc ok? I comply and he chooses zerg.
Again the Loser( I can't recall hes name cause my arbiter is torn up.) calls out no disc. I reassure him that I don't disc.
I do my normal build order against zerg. 7th scv scouts. 8th builds a racks. 9th depot.
I find him in the bottom, the first place I looked. He has done a very shitty 7 pool rush. His pool isn't even done by the time my scv gets there. His rating is 1046 and has a 8-7 record. I type, "LOL", when I see what he has done and type, "just don't disc on me k?". He replys with a, "sure same to you." His cockyness has me ROFLMAO.
I on the other hand have got 1 marine and a bunker building to stop this foolish rush. I put my scv out on the corner of his plateau so I will see the zerglings leaving his choke from the safety of the high ground. This is a good trick cause the zerglings will not see your scv there, but you will see them. An overlord will see your scv though so watch out.
As the lings leave I hit the gas in utter defiance of his stupid rush. By now my bunker is 3/4 full and an academy is finished. I also started another racks. My scout dies to a zergling as it gets its second peek at his so-called base.
What happens when shit is throw into a fan? It splatters.
Just like his rush.
It finally comes. The huge one hatchery, 7th drone pool, I'm gonna build zerglings till I die rush. 18 or so zerglings storm into my base like a heat-seeking missile straight to my bunker. A firebat that was going to be part of my enlarged 6 pack sprays the lings as they intercept it toward my bunker. I have placed all of my buildings in a tight circle around my bunker and the lings are like butter running into a hot knife. Only two scv's are pulled off mining duty for repairs to deal with this.
As soon as the lings all die I get a message saying "Loser was dropped from the game." I have been double disced on. After he crys like a spoiled baby, No disc.
Lesson Learned:
Playing public ladder games is like Russian Rulet. You win and you don't get jack shit cause the Gods of Bnet didn't think your win was good enough to be recorded or the immature teenage punk that crys and whines when he doesn't get his way double discs on you. If I knew where in the hell that SOB lived I would get a plane ticket and go and blow his F*^king brains all over his keyboard. 40 FREAKING POINTS. Thats how much I got dropped. FORTY FREAKING POINTS!!!! For winning!! I am ready to go home and beat my wife and she didn't do a damn thing. Just Kidding on the last part, but you understand the frustration.
Now that I have vented my anger I will resume playing BW and work my way back up to 1190 which is what I was when the sin occurred.
P.S. To graders and respondants of this article please take into account the issues that need to be disscussed here. We need some good intellegent ideas to stop these childish actions taken by some less then enviable people. Sure it is easy to say, "well just play people you know or people that should care about their names" Well when you have only got one hour to get a game in its kinda hard to be picky. You know? |
