Ok this is in a 1 v 1 Tournament, I'm a lvl 9 teamed player with lvl 6 solo, I was matched up against a lvl 28 teamed guy with lvl 2 solo (1-0) on the map The Two Rivers. I began in the southern side. I'm going to assume my opponent is a "he" just to make this easier.
At the beginning of the game, when I first checked the record of my opponent I had a prediction I was probably gonna lose because he got lvl 28 teamed with like 80 percent record but I decide to play on anyways to increase my skills and stuff.
I started building an altar, 2 farms, a barracks, and starts queching up peasants to send to gold, then I built a mountain king (prime= stormbolt, second = bash) , 4 footmens, and 6 more peasants. I starts sending my mountain king and footmen to enemy base to see how my opponent was doing and I was met up by a KOTG and a few archers coming my way, our armies clashed.
Our first encounter proves my opponent's superior micro skill, he kills 2 of my footmen with no casulties so I retreated back to my base, let my peasants starts on a lumbermill, a blacksmith, couple farms, and couple of towers and I started teching.
After about 2 minutes he still didnt attack, and I just realized that if he did I wouldve lost, so as my towers (all guard tower) are completing I starts building a few footmen and riflemen.
after another 2 minutes or so my opponents strikes with a rather large army of huntresses and archers , but although his micro skills are superior, he was unable to destroy my base, now fortified with 3 guard towers, guarded by a lvl 2 mountain king, 3 footmen, and 2 riflemen. When his first 2 or 3 hunts died he decided to retreat, and at this point he decided to tech as well (maybe because he saw I was teching). I got 2 more farms.
I was afraid he would build ballistaes against me, not knowing he was teching, my keep was completed, and I constructed an arcane sanctum, another tower, a workshop, and another barracks and starts pumping priests and rifles. I upgraded the last tower into a cannon tower. I begin building a paladin (prime= divine shield, second= holy light) and teching to lvl 3.
I creeped a little with my boosted army of 1 lvl 3 mountain king, a lvl 1 paladin, couple of priests, 4 riflemen, and 3 footmen, I creeped the Goblin lab and the gold mine at my side. then suddenly, a thought came to me.
I decided that Zepplin + Mortars = ultimate sneak attack so I starts pumping mortars from my only workshop. Only around then did I realize I had not upgraded one bit, I started upgrading black gun powder and made my peasants get a few more farms. I purchased 1 zepplin from the lab and loaded my 2 completed mortar teams into it. I upgrades to refined gunpowder.
I sent my zepplin around his main base and behind the goldmine and dropped my mortars there. My mortars starts sieging on his tier3 tree. After about 5 seconds he realized something and sent his wisps to repair the tree, but I made my mortars focus fired on the middle of the wisp, and as both mortars each fired once, all wisps were gone. I fired on the tree, wondering why he hasn't came to protect his tree, and is ready to retreat my mortars back to the zepplin at any time.
As I watch the tree's life goes down to zero, I heard the computer voice say my base was under attack, and when I checked, there is the Night Elf army!!! As I thought :"so that's why he didnt protect his tree." my lvl 4 mountain king was entangled by the KOTG, lvl 5, and killed by the mass of huntresses and dyads and a lvl 3 POTM, my lvl 2 paladin was also entangled, but I activated the divine shield, I called militia to my aid and my units fights at close range to the towers. I starts reviving my mountain king, building knights, priests, and mortars. as the battle continues, my footmen and priests are falling one by one, my militias r also killed but he is also suffering heavy casulty, most of dyads and all of his hunts are killed, though 3 of my towers are destroyed, only left out the guard tower behind my castle. My lvl.3 paladin's divine shield worn off and was also killed, but my MK was soon revived, when it did my opponent decided to retreat with a lvl 6 KOTG, lvl 4 POTM, and 5 or 6 dyads at hand, I followed closely with my lvl 4 mk, 4 knights, 2 preists, and couple of mortars.
As I chase my opponent I called back my mortars to my zeppling ( they already razed the lvl 3 tree and couple of ancients.). I stormbolted the lvl 3 POTM and killed it, the lvl 6 KOTG was at yellow health but it healed at the moon well, I realize I won't win against someone with such a good micro when he is backed my moon well so I turned and checked at his natural expansion, I saw a new tree starting so I razed it, at this point the healed lvl 6 KOTG and dyads came so I retreated back without killin the wisps.
A few more mortars were built, and so are a couple of tanks, and 4 more knights and 2 more priests. I starts charging at enemy base again, this time I checked the expansion first, I saw a finished tree entangling the goldmine, I razed it with my tanks and mortars and knights and my riflemen fires away at the wisps.
My opponent came after I razed the tree, and although his POTM was revived his army seems no larger, that's when a happy thought hit me: he's out of gold!!! but his micro was 2 good, and with 10 minutes left in the tournament game I had no confident of killing him. I said , to all : " It's probably gonna be a draw." he did not answer.
We fought, i killed 3 or 4 dyads and he killed 3 of my knights, My MK stormbolted and killed the lvl 3 POTM again and killed it and grew 2 lvl 5, now with lvl 3 stormbolt, he retreated back 2 his base, My MK fired a lvl 3 Stormbolt at his KOTG but unfortunately didn't kill it.
I backed my army with a reinforcement of knights, mortars and preists and charged again at his base, this time he fought inside his base with his lvl 6 KOTG, and a couple of dyads, which I killed rather quickly, leaving his KOTG, He managed to kill 2 of knights with his lvl 6 KOTG with FON and Entangling Roots with the backup of his moon wells and ancients (they do good damage!!) I left my 2 tanks inside his base razing his buildings while I retreats and on my way back I killed the last tree he built in his natural expansion.
2 minutes left in the game, I gathered my units, charged inside his base, killed his buildings but his KOTG managed to escape, he had 3 moonwell left in his base so I left my tanks there to clean it, and charged back at my base to kill his KOTG, who is now inside my base, killing my peasants, on my way back though, I noticed that he was building a moonwell in his natural expansion! That little cheap-o!!! I razed it with my MK and knights, while my tanks cleans off his moon well.
As I finished his moonwell, I noticed that there is 20 seconds left in the game, and my tank just razed his second-to-last moon well, he had one last one built in his base near his second-to-last one, so I sent my tanks there and razed it.
I WON!! With 7 seconds still in the tournament I managed to win!!!
On the score table most of his scores are higher than mine but it didnt matter to me, I won!!!. As I checked the scores I realized I only had my paladin for like 3 minutes.
