"Psyonic_Reaver: It's getting harder for me to sleep as Blizzcon approaches. I wonder if this is what waiting for your wedding night feels like... The feeling of finally being able to get laid. That is how I feel right now.
Mattzarella: For your sake I hope you don't blurt out 'For Aiur!' the first time you have sex."

A Mercenary Born

Yes, it's Pr0be again. That annoying guy that keeps writing crappy reports. Why is this one different you ask? It has pictures. Yes, Pr0be got off his lazy ass and learned HTML. Now he can make colored text, AND insert pictures. He's still puzzled on the background, so imagine the white as a cool background. Also, to all you confused people, I AM NOT PROBE, IT'S PR0BE! Enough with this lame intro and poor third person writing, onto the good stuff!

This is a Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries BR, it will be the first in a line of other crappy BRs I will torture you with. Mechwarrior 4 Mercs is a pretty cool game, you take missions to make money, which can be used to buy better/bigger mechs, and cooler/nastier weapons. You can also hire more lancemates, or better lancemates. In battle, you command two lances of mechs, or 8 mechs in all including yourself. Usually you won't need this much firepower.

As you can tell by the pretty picture, I'm joining the Wolf's Dragoons. Pr0be's Posse will prevail! Joining the Dragoons gives you more access to Clan weaponry, and everyone knows Clan stuff kicks ass, right? Right. So I join the Dragoons, and what do they give me?

Fleas. Not the parasites, but crappy 20 ton mechs with machine guns and tiny lasers. A Fleamech cannot kill a fleabug. Seriously. They suck. These four fleas are sold on the Free Market quickly, and a shiny Wolfhound is bought. Now if any you remember the last Pr0be BR, the hero, piloted a Wolfhound. I like Wolfies, they kick ass. I sell an Uller as well, as I only have 4 pilots including me, so I only need 4 mechs. You automatically start at Outreach, so I need to go somewhere else for a mission. I whip out the starmap and plan a vacation to Halloran V.

Halloran has two missions available, as you can see, each paying about 2million. The jump will only cost me 125k, so I go ahead. To get to planets, you have to jump. This takes varying amounts of time, and you have to pay your people during that wait.

That's the dropship, it's big. I included a pic of it because it looks cool. I won't include it anymore because now you all know what it looks like.

As I said before, two jobs available. I take Checkpoint because it pays more. Yeeeehaw!
I start the mission with my three lancemates. A lance is four mechs, and I'm the lance leader. My nickname is Spectre, I would have picked a different one, but you can't. I started with Hannibal, Rufus, and Shredder, but Rufus is a retard so he got fired pretty quick. Gator was hired instead. I pilot my Wolfhound Mech, and the others take Cougars and the Uller. Both are light mechs, but they are OK. Here's a picture of me frying a tank.

Cool, huh? Well, I fry a few more tanks, and then continue on to my next navpoint where I engage some other stuff too. I'm mostly up against light Bulldog and LRM Carrier tanks, nothing too hard. A few light mechs rear their heads too, but are easily dispatched.

The Blue laser is an X-Pulse Laser, it kicks a lot of butt, fires fast, and can fry sausages it throws out so much heat. The Red ones are Medium Pulses, they do almost 0 damage, but you can fire them every .2 seconds. After I blew this thing up, it ended the mission, and I got to pose.

Don't I look awesome in me Wolfie? Yup. It takes me to the mission readout screen, and I'll show it to you. You can gain 4 attributes after missions, Nobility, Infamy, Steiner Points, and Davion Points. Nobility is for good stuff, like not killing civilian buildings in city levels. In my other game, by rescuing peace delegates instead of bombing them, my nobility went off the scale. Infamy is the opposite. Steiner points get you contracts with the Archon Katrina Steiner. Davion Points get you contracts with Prince Victor Davion. Certain missions tick one or the other off.

The Free Stuff is from salvage, when you blow something up you can steal its stuff, which is cool. Also, any mech you blow up can usually be salvaged as well. A good haul. Pr0be's Posse is victorious!
Remember, there will be more Mechwarrior goodness coming soon, don't worry. Coming up next, more missions, a trip to the Solaris arenas, and some other stuff too. Now comment you whores!
