Welcome to our first Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne Battle report.
This is my first attempt at a battle report for ANY game, so enjoy.

After advertising on warforge for 15 minutes, without any luck, I just created a game
and got two random players. First was ManuChao who chose human. Next victim was SSfox who
chose orc. The map was turle rock (obviously). Manu started at the 5:00 position while SSfox
started directly above him at 3:30.

With the much increased wood requirements of the last patch (v304), neither player decides to
tech. Instead, each gets a barracks to produce tier 1 for some early creeping. Manu recruits the
dwarven mountain king and some noble footmen, while SSfox chooses the new shadowhunter hero and produces
the mighty orcish grunts. Also seen here are some new creeps, the giant sea turtles.

As we check in on bases, ManuChao hasn't even started to tech as night has fallen. SSfox has started his
upgrade while adding a voodoo lounge to his base. SSfox also decides to harass ManuChao's building blacksmith
at this point. ManuChao beams in to stop the harassment, but is this wise considering the TP's newly valued importance,
and the fact he was only creeping a short distance away from his base... SSfox destroys the blacksmith and after
a very brief battle decides not to stay and fight and backs off.

ManuChao decides to follow the retreating SSfox since he has a couple of illusioned Giant Turtles that could
possibly take damage instead of a real unit taking that damage. His illusions don't have much time left so
ManuChao pulls back himself as grunts own footmen any day. Neither player did any significant damage to the other
in that skirmish.

Both players go back creeping while adding a 2nd hero each. SSfox adds the tauren chieftan to his growing army
of grunts. ManuChao adds the new human hero, the bloodmage, to his army of footmen. Manu quickly uses his bloodmage to banish
a giant turtle so it cannot attack any of his units while they finish off the other 2 turtles. This tactic
is much like sleeping or entangling a powerful unit to keep it out of the battle. Notice Manu went right past SSfox's
base to get to his creeps. In the game, he didn't even bother to scout his opponent which, as we all know, is a HUGE
mistake in war3.

Checking in on the players bases, we see that SSfox has added a spirit lodge, another barracks, and to the north of those
has added a beastiary. He is also teching to fortress. At manuchao's base we see he has added 2 of the new human
towers, the arcane tower. While seemingly very low in damage (8-10), they also take away mana from the
target unit which can be devastating for harassing heros. Should help with the horrible early game for human. We also
see he is starting to build two arcance sanctums (1 is south of his keep. We also notice that he has not teched any farther
than Keep and has not added an arcane vault yet. Both players have HUGE amounts of gold, yet relatively small amounts
of wood. Remember, everything has much increased lumber cost. Both players had 6-7 lumber harvesters in this game
to keep up with the new demand of lumber.

Here we see ManuChao catch SSfox while he is moving from creep camps. Manu is then able to pull of a very nice move
. He stormbolts the shadow hunter, then casts banish on it, then casts slow again. He surround the SH and then stormbolts
for a huge amount of damage to kill it. Remember, while a unit is banished, it takes a whopping 200% damage from
magical attacks. With 1 stormbolt, the SH lost 80% of its health while ethereal (banished). Manu then returns to
creeping, again taking advantage of banish on the creeps.

Ahh, now were finally getting somewhere. SSfox hasn't been idle in his base. He has been producing catapults
with there newly increased damage, speed and the advanced catapults upgrade (which does AoE damage). He also has
added a kodobeast with wardrums aura. The catapult now does a whopping 144 damage! He has also added in witch doctors
with healing ward and stasis trap. SSfox runs into ManuChao as he is creeping a mine. Manu stops his attack on the creeps
to face fox's incoming force. Fox concentrates his catapult attack on a group of sorceress while commanding his grunts
to attack the footmen and riflemen that Manu has added to his army. Manu is not in a good position here as his melee troops are strongly
out numbered AND he has creeps attacking him from behind. He decides to retreat to his main base. Both players
then continue to creep.

While creeping, SSfox runs into the newly established human expansion right above Manu's main base. He has quite a varied army at this point
consisting of cats, docs, grunts, shamans with lust, and his shadow hunter. Manu runs in to save his expansion and a nice battle ensues.
The sorceress quicly slow all of fox's grunts while the MK goes around clapping everything. However, SSfox once again quicly
focuse's his cata fire on the sorc, casts healing wave on his grunts, and then shockwaves Manu's footmen and sorc. Manu desperatly tries to save his
expansion, but is fighting a losing battle. For some reason he never calls to militia, even though I am not sure it would have made much
of a difference. Manu TP's out at this point to save his few remaining units from certain death. The new TP, in my opinion is much better. It is just
like the archmage ultimate mass teleport, with the exception that the casting hero is invulnerable while casting so it is not interuptable. I think
this is a good change so that you can't beam out everytime that you are caught until you have your perfect army. This makes the game
much more competitive and will increase the fun in my humbles opinion. Also, TP's no longer come with 2nd and 3rd heros.

In a last desperate effort, Manu tries to take out SSfox's expansion, but really has no chance. He is outnumbered
10 to 1 with lower level heros. At this point he calls GG and leaves.
