~Battle Section~
I started out with my usual build: 2 aow, 3 mw, hunters hall, and alter.

My hero was a DH (usual MB for first skill), my allies choose Far see and Blade.

As soon as I had a 2 or three hunts out and my allies had 3-4 grunts we began to creep. We cleared about 3 gold mines or a little more, and were left with 6 hunts and a combined 11 grunts.

At this point my base basically looked like this: 3-5 MW, 2 aow, hunters’ hall, tree of ages, and 1 ancient of lore. I had upgraded to level 1 on moon armor and weapons. I also was researching the dryad anti-magic.

My two allies were doing basically the same thing- a slow tech to blood lust. One was a little ahead of the other but basically they both had 2 huts, and were researching hard up to blood (by this point)

Picking up from before as we went to clear are 4th gold mine we ran into the enemy, who was in the process of clearing the same mine. We both with-drew, and waited. After 30 seconds or so the two teams of 3 tag teamed to kill the creeps (attack than retreat). The two "great teams" than clashed in a might battle ending.. Very very quickly with my "great team" defeated, Badly.

Now you already know what are forces looked like when entering the battle... a pathetic mix of outcast grunts and a few un-trained hunts. The other team however included some weak Druids of the talon, a bunch of hunts, a bunch of footies, and a very few shaman.

I'm still trying to figure out how they won that first battle so badly :)

With are armies defeated and the knowledge that they had already teched to tier two, all three of us quickly... or rather frantically made a "call to arms". I began to pump hunts and dryads as fast as I could... as well as resurrect my hero.

My allies were a little better off. They had been building up their shaman by this point and each had about 5-6 shaman, with a couple extra grunts.

none of us had expanded yet.. While all three members of the other team had already had an expansion since the first battle.

Okay so let’s get a final tally count on me and my allies:
Me= 8 hunts + 5 dryads
Orc= 5 shaman 4 grunts
Orc= 10 shaman.

Good army right? .... Yea, that’s what we thought too.. Until.

The sun had just peaked and we were preparing to go wipe out some expansions.
My hunts were running around tossing the ol Frisbee around while my dryads were imitating humans and getting drunk.

Nothing was happening and so I decided to take the initiative. I went out of my base and headed north...

It was than when the enemies came. Don’t ask me how because I didn’t save the replay (doH!)... But their army was, well, perfect to say the least.

Imagine this: 7 or so shaman, A 8-10 Druids of the talon, 2 chimeras, 10 priests, 3 knights, and at least 5 sorcs.

In a matter of seconds my allies’ armies were dead... that or running around like.. Or should I say being, Sheep.

I frantically ran down and brought in my level 3 DH and the rest of my army.

Now you remember those "weak" druids of the talon.. Yea well guess what? Before I could blink every single on of my hunts were flying about in the air and my hero was getting pelted by the shaman knights. oh yea and did I mention tauren?

As my hunts fell so did my chances of winning... and VERY VERY quickly.

So fast infact that I simply quit. amazed.

*Analysis*

If you haven’t figured out yet, the "fantastic three" were my enemies. In my oppion they had the perfect... yes perfect army.

Let’s break it down.

The humans had the grand casters.. priests+sorcs. We all know priests are good for healing.. But they also are amazing with inner fire. Now for the sorcs. They sometimes under-estimated polymorph probably had a lot to do with them winning. I mean... it’s basically the same as a cyclone except it lasts about 3 times as long. (And if you didn’t realize it from the above my army was wiped out SO fast from cyclone.) And of course.. The human had a few knights to act as tanks.
Can you get a better human army?.. Well in my oppion no.

Now I think the NE have already been spoken for. Their Cyclone was amazing and those few chims took out the couple towers so fast.

The orcs... well if you simply think okay great, shaman blood lusted each other and the taurnen took the hits.. How original... you seriously need to reconsider your view on shaman. Purge and light shield are AMAZING. They probably helped 2x as much as the blood. I encourage you too look up what they do if you don’t know why.

So the breakdown of the breakdown:

Bloodlust+innerfire+healing wards (wasn’t mentioned but their were a couple docs)= GODLY UNITS

Purge+Lighting shield+Cyclone+Slow+polymoph= well.. nothing... after a few seconds everything will be dead... or spinning in the air... or eating grass and crying out as if mocking the very player:

"BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

~Special thanks~

None because I can't remember my allies or enemies names.. My apologies :(

This is my first Battle report and I hope to include pictures and have some more detailed information in my next.

Thanks for your time,

He-Luther
