What? Another [nT] Report?

The Intro None of the 1st, 2nd, shit in the comments sections, k?

^^^Okay, I know what you're thinking, another nt (no text for all you retards out there :p) report made by some person who just wanted to be a pissant annoying shit, not making any references to TIME of course. Hahaha i kid. And this annoying idiot would have no clue at how to use html, so he would bunch all the words together in one big-ass paragraph and would look in the comments thereafter for reprimands by the raters. To top that off he couldn't speak english, and was writing in school, so his br would look like something out of a 3rd grader's yearbook. Something like that. Yeah my goal is to NOT be like that, and I'm obviously showing this by the colors that im using. But then again, its up to you to decide.

^^^I was content in making these nice picture reports and spending months on them for basically most of last year. (I made two, check em out!) And I was very content with the ratings. But as the winter wanned into spring, and then bloomed to summer, I was faced with a constant dilemma. "Would I want to spend all that time creating another report?". The answer, no. But would I want to slap a stupid fanfic together that I yanked outta my ass? No too. So the result was me just gaming a whole bunch, reading battlereports, and being a critical bitch, but never really making much more. But then, Warcraft III came out, opening another whole new era to battlereporting. Creeps, heros, more micro, no money maps? wow this was the battlereporting hit of the century, or well, the ... err week. Wanting to take advantage of it, but not wanting to open photoshop, I settled on a NT. Hopefully its very purty with all the colors :D. Actually, fuck colors. (This didn't really take me over an hour lol :D)

Please note some of this battlereport may be fictional (prolly none to very little) because of my crappy memory. ASDF the writing's too big!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pre-Game Information!

^^^ As anxious as you are to start the game, you've gotta know what type of game it is. Well, it was a 2v2 arranged team. My partner was a person by the name of lect. When Warcraft III first came out, I thought the lost temple days were over. I thought there would be no more lame jokes such as "And the map was Polaris Prime, no, wait, im jk it was LT". But then Blizzard just HAD to introduce this fuckin shit map LT into the Warcraft world. That been said, the map was...Lost Temple! Warcraft LT is slightly different from the starcraft version for a few reasons. First, it has 2 additional resource spots, located in the topright and bottomleft, both accessible by land units. (no mineral only's though). The middle happens to be a quad-type structure, with 4 squares on the outside full of lvl 3-5 creeps, and a fountain of health on the inside guarded by 6 level 3 gnolls. Near each base are some sort of special structure, the goblin labs being on the topleft and bottomright, and the goblin merchants being on the topright and bottomleft. Each of these are guarded by a rock golem and two trolls. Other then that, there is an expansion to each base that contains 15000 gold (I think? or maybe 12000...)

The Players

Team 1

Red6 - Random Undead 6:00 - This, as you can guess, is me. My full "online name" was Redemption6, so thats the nickname I used first in the Warcraft III world. Thats until I figured out that when you quit, even if its within the first 2 minutes, you get a loss. Seeing as how I was 1-13 and I hadn't even played any game over 10 minutes, I decided to shorten my name to Red6. Im a lvl 8 (random team) footman! (that icon is the CHOBO) and a lvl 5 single player. I get disconnected way too much (about 20% of the time).

Lect - Chosen Undead 9:00 - Now I don't know how the hell I met this kid, all I know about him is that he's about to go off to college. Going to this game I was 7-0 with him arranged and we had gotten accustomed to playing with each other and having strategy. Though he is only lvl 5 (and thats from teaming with Life in arranged team) he is much better then an average player of that level, using the undead as a lethal tool.

Team 2

Kengenjuro - Chosen Human 12:00 - I don't know anything about him, just like his partner, besides the fact that he is mostly an undead player.

HeavenlyEvil - Random Human 3:00 - Likewise, who the fuck is this guy? I'll tell you one thing that startled me when I looked at his profile. He had not played ONE randomly paired game, not ONE. All his wins (all 270 of them) were from playing with arragned partners. 2 to be exact, kengenjuro (lvl8) and genjuro (lvl9) and both. Lol.

At Last, The Game!

Dayrise starts with the faint glowing of the sun, just over the east horizon revealing Team 2's dual town halls (yes, they were both human), in the 12:00 and 3:00 positions. However the light is quickly stopped by the extending blight, visible in the 6:00 and 9:00 positions, where both of the players of Team 1 have spawned a dark necropolis.

My ally and I quickly put all of our three acolytes on the haunted goldmine while dedicating that one ghoul to lumber. Lect takes his acolyte out of mining when his first building acolyte is about halfway done, warps in a crypt, and then returns it to mining. When his first acolyte is done, Lect warps in an altar of darkness, a ziggurat, and a graveyard awhile later, showing that perhaps he would be going ghouls and necros. I take kind of a different strategy, opting to have all 3 starting acolytes remain on gold, while sending my first built acolyte to create a crypt, altar of darkness, and a zigguarat. I then opt for a second ziggurat, and 3 ghouls to mine lumber, before starting a graveyard. Likewise, I am also going ghouls and necros. One thing I noticed between building our bases and creeping in early game is that I had 3 ghouls mining lumber the whole time, while he would take his ghouls creeping, leaving none to mine, but then return with all of them to mine lumber for a few minutes, before bringing them out again. This not only gave him sufficient lumber, but also allowed him to heal his ghouls after battle, because mining trees heals ghouls. Both players decide that the dreadlord would be the best hero to use, seeing as how the lich king blows shit and the death knight isn't much better...

On the other side of the board, both players have been building as furiously as team 1. They also both have nearly identical builds, constructing an altar, farm, then barracks, and awhile later, a blacksmith, keep, and another rax, obviously showing the intention of early footmen and perhaps knights later on.

You could just argue us as pessimistic, however my partner and I were confident that they would hero rush us. We were looking at two level 8 humans here. Thus instead of getting vampiric aura with our heros, we both got sleep, which wasn't a bad idea. (Since they got an archmage and mountain king, it really didn't matter...). After this "inevitable" (as my partner said) hero rush didn't come, we decided to creep. I chose with clearing my expansion first with 4 ghouls and a dreadlord once night started. Even with all my "gosu" microing skills, I still lose one ghoul to the trolls, and was forced to replace 2 attacking ghouls with 2 mining ghouls (one of the things I like about undead). Since my graveyard kicked in about then, I quickly upgraded the first attack upgrade, as well as making a spirit tower (upgraded zigg). Then I proceeded to the middle, massacring the lvl 3 and 2 lvl 1 creeps near the entrance of the quad and gaining a level for my hero. Ahh yes, vampiric aura. (vampiric aura is a spell that allows 15% + of the attack damage to be converted into HP for any unit around and including the hero). Lect did about the same thing, but cleared the entrance before his expansion. However we met in the fountain of health to heal up, and then we cleared it. 6 lvl 3 gnolls were nothing compared to both of our forces (at this point I had 7 ghouls and a DL and he had 12 and a DL), but in an act of stupidity, we each sleeped the same unit, which does nothing sadly.

The minutes passed, and strangely my partner and I were left to creep in the middle. After totally clearing out the middle, and achieving level 4 heros, my partner and I picked up some valuable items including the wand of the wind, and a spiked collar. Either the other team was creeping in the topright and bottom left, which wasn't likely because of the really hard creeps, or they were preparing to rush someone. We knew this, and we also knew that we had town portal scrolls, so we went on creeping and not worrying. I also expanded in this time (I like to early expand), even though it wasn't really a good idea. The rush came around 4 minutes into the game.

*Unlike rushing in starcraft, Warcraft rushing takes a bit more precision. First off, there really isn't anything like a 4pool in Warcraft, because each race (except for night elves) have a basic unit that can attack. (ghouls, orc burrows, militia). And typically the only effective hero rush can be done by humans, because they can dedicate more than one peasant onto a building. Even late rushing takes a lot of care to enact. You have to make sure that they don't have heavy amounts of towers, and you have to scout a lot first. Unlike starcraft, if your rush get totally massacred, chances are you're not going to win the game

My partner was hit with around 20 footmen, 4 riflemen, and 2 heros (both level 2) against his 2 spirit towers, 12 ghouls, and level 4 dreadlord. Obviously Team 2 had thought that if they kept building units, and we kept creeping thus losing some units, they would greatly outnumber us. And this was partially true. Lect's Halls of the Dead had not yet finished, thus preventing him from having necromancers at this point. It was evident that he would need help, because even though he slept the mountain king, the archmage was blizzarding everything. Second after second, Lect was pushed farther and farther into his base. I teleported as quickly as I could to his necropolis, with an army of around 10 ghouls and a dreadlord. With renewed energy, we both fought against the strong human army. Using double sleep, both of their heroes were put away, and the footmen were slowly weakened and beat down by my full-healthed ghouls. With 7 footmen left, Team 2 beat a batter retreat down the ramp and to the fountain. The horse and the old guy wouldnt be getting away this time however. Using those INSANELY QUICK reflexes I have, I slept the poor horsedude, and then surrounded him. That's one of the great things about sleep. Sadly my partner couldn't get the mountain king, but that was okay, because he took out his aggression on a lone footmen, who had been a bit too slow to run away. After this we quickly ran to the fountain, and they were once again forced to run away, this time all the way back to their base.

Game Recap!

Team 1 - Currently my partner and I both have level 5 heros, due to the last battle. My halls of the dead is just completing while his temple of the damned is near completion. I have a full expansion running with 2 spirit towers there, and he has just started haunting his expansion gold mine. A "meat house" (lol i forgot the name of the structure, so I'll call it a meat house") was created in Lect's base to eventually produce aboms. Upgrades stand at 1-1 for me, and 2-1 for lect.

Team 2 - Though only having 2 level 3 heros, Team 2 has gotten way ahead in tech. Both of the members already have a nice, pointy-topped castle, and knights. They also each have an arcane sanctum, and are getting tons of priests and inner-fire. Now their armies consist of 2-2 footmen, riflemen, and knights.

My partner and I decided that clearing the goblin labs would be good, and we quickly took out everything in the bottom left. Then we decided that it was time to attack. We had a few choices, and I ultimately made the choice of hitting Kengenjuron's expansion node. An army of 24 or so ghouls, 12 necros, and an abom (as well as two heros) went up the ramp to the expansion, and quickly started falling to arrow fire. 3 or so guard towers stood to guard the expansion. Then kengenjuron portaled into his expansion with a HUGE army of knights and footmen, almost 2/3 of our army size. I tried to micro my ghouls around, going left and right, dodging behind skeletons, but as anyone can tell you, ghouls suck against knights. Luckily, they didn't have any wands of negation, so when our troops died two more skeletons would join them. Just when we thought we could overwhelm kengenjuron with a bunch of weakened ghouls and skeletons, his ally comes stomping in with sorceresses and more knights. Caught in a sandwich between a few angry knights, a peasant militia, and a load of angry knights, our troops were quickly and brutally raped. I tried getting my dreadlord out of there, but he died. My partner's dreadlord fell soon later. With no heroes left our troops fell into fray and were slowly rounded up, and butchered. [like cattle, I like that phrase...]

On the upside, my partner and I aren't those idiots that love watching battles. We build while we battle too. And by the time my army was gone, I had 2 aboms, and a scattered amount of ghouls and necros. My partner for some reason still had a nicely sized army, which had about 7 aboms, 10 ghouls, and a load of necros. Both of us set to the hard task of reviving our heroes. Anticipating an attack, I upgraded all my ziggs to spirit towers. Just when they were done, the attack came.

I saw a bunch of fired up knights (literally) enter my base in a mad frenzy. (inner fire) My dreadlord had just been revived, but even he stared in shock at the impending massacre. Spirit towers opened fire, chewing up the first of the large horde of knights. All 5 of my acolytes were taken off mining duty to repair the spirit towers, which were suffering a whole load of damage. Blizzard rained from the skies, engulfing the poor spirit towers in cold ice. My troops were trying to hold their ground, but the ghouls were getting wrecked and they outnumbered me, even with the skeletons. A huge micro battle insued, wich me microing my acolytes around to avoid blizzard and repair structures, as well as building more zigs and troops. Aboms popped out every minute or so, but even their deformed bodies couldn't help. At this time though, my ally had a huge army, probably as big as the renmants of the army attacking my base. (my troops were on their last strands now). He started moving towards my base, but right then I made a huge decision. I told him to counter kengenjurons expansion, but in a smart move he went for the main. 2 knights were simply trampled over by the mad hook swinging aboms as they laid fire to the enemies base. Team 2 chose to take down my base rather than to save his. It would all come down to timing, if I could hold out long enough, take enough troops with me, we could win. I microed the best I could, even summoning down a huge infernal to help me. Alas, the infernal's power was not strong enough, and even he burnt out and died. Knowing that my main was lost, I made one more zigg at my expansion, because that was all I had money for. I tried saving my hero, but he was gone. Team 2 finished off the last few structures of my base but didn't have the army they once had. My partner on the other hand had a nice army still, and had laid waste to kengenjurons main, and was proceeding to his expansion, at the same time they were proceeding towards mine.

My partner, knowing the attack on my expansion was about to come, sent 3 aboms to help. At this point Team 2 had a weakened army. About 6 weakened knights and a couple footman, with two heroes left. The heroes however, were incredibly strong level 9's, so he must've creeped sometime before the battle on kengenjuron's expansion. 3 spirit towers and 2 ghouls from a recently finished crypt at my expansion stood to hold the attack off, as well as 3 aboms. A fierce micro battle once again insued, except this time, my ziggs weren't in square shapes, so only one could be hit by blizzard at a time. This made repairing with my acolytes much easier, and the attack force was warded off, with the archmage dying and mountain king running away, ducking his head in shame. The same outcome had not happenened to my ally however, 1 guard tower and a peasant militia was simply a small stomping to his still large abomination army. With the expansion razed, he proceeded down to Heavenlyevil's main. (at this point I was just building ghouls and giving all my lumber and excess gold to lect).

Unfortunately for us, Heavenlyevil had not been idle while his ally was being slaughtered, and had built up a large contingement force of footmen, as well as having a level 8 mountain king. Around 20-30 footmen stood up against the large 8 abom, 8 ghouls, 8 necros force. (888!) The militia was called in too, further evening the battle. However he had all his footmen clustered up before the attack, and my partner saw this. So the battle was opened up with a huge infernal slamming on all of them, dealing 50 damage and shocking them. Then my ally came in. The still recovering footmen were individually wrecked, and skeletons were created as fast as lect's units were falling. Because of wretched building placement, the peasant militia couldn't do what they did best, which was surrounding the enemy. Rather, they could only attack one at a time, hacking their axes into big aboms who probably couldn't feel them anyways. Even though the battle was fierce, my partner pulled off a victory with just a few aboms left.

Heavenlyevil had 8 guard towers in the process of building in his expansion when my partner came in. Only one guard tower completed, and I'll have you fill in the blanks. Sadly, one peasant got away... Kengenjuron had also rebuilt to his old expansion, and I sent my only two ghouls to quell it. Two ghouls and an acolyte < 5 militia though, and I died. The militiamen were happy for about 20 seconds, until the aboms came in and raped em. It was then that I got disconnected.

Epilogue

Though I disconnected, my partner kept me up on events. It turned out that they had taken one escaped peasant, and ran with it building random farms everywhere. I messaged my partner with tips as well as spamming the other team and calling them fuckers. But even then it still took 15 minutes to find the last structure. At long last my partner cleared the last farm and that made us an 8-0 team. Level 5 = thx. Lessons learned would be:

1. Dont go head on against 5 spirit towers, because you will always suffer heavy casulaties.

2. Peasant militia > ghouls < aboms

3. Dont build your buildings to that your peasants can't get out. That was a huge battle turner.

4. Clumping your troops together to get raped by an infernal falling is bad. DONT DO IT.

Until next time...
