Warning: This is one pretty big battle report which took me alot of time to upload over my weak ass 56k so you'd better apreciate it you ungrateful mofos. Thank you

Sup. Let's get started shall we?
The Game:I have reported for you yet another 1 versus 1. This time, it's between the well known liquid.Drone and dNC.Whirlwind, whom I do not know (the replay was posted not long ago). The map is, as usual, The Lost Temple.
GL HF!~
liquid.Drone: Getting shit for a color, Drone warps in a protoss nexus at the 6 o'clock main. His build order is as follows:
Pylon at 8 Gateway at 10 (he sends the probe to scout) Assimilator at 12 Cybernetics core at 14 Pylon at 15
dNC.Whirlwind: Getting sexy red, whirlwind lands a command center at the 12 o'clock main. His build order looks like this:
Supply depot at 8 Barracks at 11 (he sends an scv to scout) Refinery at 13 Supply depot at 15 Factory at 18
Early Game
The game goes on with Whirlwind closing his wall-in just before Drone's probe (pretty confusing huh?) arrives, which is later chased away by a lone marine heading towards the 9 o'clock main, blocking any type of significant recon on the protoss executor's part. As for the terran commander, his scv wanders happily in the protoss main until it is taken down by a dragoon. In the terran main, we can see a machine shop, followed by a starport and, a while after, an engineering bay. In the protoss main, a robotics facility is warping in.
Let's get ready to rumble!
liquid.Drone sends his first dragoon towards the terran main. He arrives and starts taking shots at the supply depot but can't do much damage thanks to a repairing scv and a freshly built tank.
During the small skirmish, Whirlwind built another tank, started researching siege mode and added a control tower to his now finished starport. He also adds a turret at his ramp and 2 at his mineral line. liquid.Drone on the other hand warped in an observatory and a second gateway all the while upgrading dragoon range and keeping dragoon production up and running.
Expecting his opponent to drop (don't ask me how), liquid.Drone places 3 dragoons close to the 12 o'clock mineral only, hoping to intercept a drop. For his part, whirlwind loads up 2 tanks and heads for liquid.Drone's main, passing right over the dragoons... Poor whirlwind... he is forced to quickly drop both tanks and confront the 3 dragoons head to head. He tries moving the tanks back while attacking, hoping to utilise their small range advantage, but he just can't cut it as both tanks go down in a burst of glory (or at least in a cool looking explosion).
Having only lost 1 dragoon to both tanks and effectively eliminating his opponent's chance at doing any harm to him for the moment being, the protoss executor warps in a nexus at his natural expansion.
Recap
It's time for our first recap:
liquid.Drone: 2 gateways. Observer technology. Dragoon range upgrade is almost done. Troop count consisting of 6 dragoons. Nexus warping in at natural.
dNC.Whirlwind: 1 factory. 1 starport. Troop count consisting of 1 tank and 1 marine.
Mid-Game
Our protoss player is playing defensively at the moment, with 6 dragoons stationed in his main and 2 at his natural choke, there's no messing with this guy. Whirlwind, on the other hand, goes on the offensive once again and loads up 2 more siege tanks and heads once again towards the protoss main base, all the while starting a command center inside his main. Upon arriving at the protoss base, the terran commander... turns around! Yep, the dragoons waiting for him seemed more than enough to convince Whirlwind that dropping his tanks wouldn't be a good idea.
Drone's nexus has just warped in which recieves probes from the main mining site. He is producing shuttles and has also started a nexus at his mineral only. Yep, protis r teh expo wh0r35.
At the same time, Whirlwind starts his second factory.
Wasting no time, Whirwind loads up 2 more tanks in a second dropship and 1 tank with 4 scvs in a third dropship and sends them towards the 6 o'clock natural cliff, hoping for a successful turbo newbie. Also, his command center just finished and is flotting to his natural expansion while many many scvs follow it. He also builds an academy for his scanners while his opponent starts a robitics support bay.
Once Whirlwind arrives at the 6 o'clock natural cliff, he is greeted by some dragoons... Yep, Drone had put 4 dragoons on his cliff in fear of a turbo newbie, hidden at the bottom of the cliff. As soon as our unlucky terran player unloads his units, he is flanked hard by 4 dragoons on one side, and 2 shuttles full of dragoons on the other. Knowing his chances of survival are close to nothing, he quickly loads his 2 remaining tanks into his dropships and runs off, leaving his scvs behind to die a horrible horrible death... Drone is currently upgrading shuttle speed. He also has 4 gateways with 1 more on the way. Whirlwind on the other hand is researching spider mines and has started pumping a combo of tanks and vultures.
Seeing the uselessness of drops (sort of), Whirlwind decides to go head on against his protoss adversary. Tanks siege close to the north west temple wall, scvs build turrets here and there and vultures lay mines around the perimeter. During this time, liquid.Drone starts warping in a nexus at the 9 o'clock main. It is quickly spotted by a scouting vulture, who is quickly destroyed by dragoons... Fun, no?
The terran commander continues his blockade until he arrives at the southern extremity of the temple walls where he is attacked by 9 dragoons head on and 3 more over their heads. The dragoons drop right besides the tanks, giving them the advantage. Also, most of Whirlwind's tanks are far back, meaning no support for him. Drone keeps pushing his dragoons deeper into the terran blockade until he reaches the temple. He places his dragoons in an arc (very well done BTW) but superior tank positioning makes him retreat with only 2 dragoons left. Back at the protoss base, liquid.Drone has started zealot production while upgrading zealot speed and +1 attack. He also has 7 gateways and 3 functional mining operations. Whirlwind is currently upgrading vulture speed. He has 3 factories and 2 functional mining operations.
What follows is a series of small waves of units sent by Drone. First, 2 zealots and 3 dragoons charge Whirlwind's 6 tanks, who take them out quite easily. Secondly, another handful of zealots and dragoons try their luck against the tank pimp squad, but to no avail. They are followed by another wave of 12 zealots and 3 dragoons. Luckily for Whirlwind, 5 of his now 8 tanks were currently unsieged and he had some mines at strategic places, this gives him a great advantage as he kills almost all of the protoss warriors. Also, Whirlwind is currently expanding to the 3 o'clock mineral only expansion.
The terran attack force is getting a little too close for Drone as tank shells start to pound on his mineral only expansion. In hopes of saving his mineral only expansion, liquid.Drone attacks Whirlwind with 4 dragoons and 1 zealot coming from the south, 4 dragoons inside shuttles, dropping them right above the tanks, and 5 dragoons coming in from the western side of the temple. Good tank positioning and a few spider mines make it very difficult for the protoss warriors though, as they only destroy a small portion of the blockade before dying to arclite shells. The tanks are currently out of range of the expansion though.
liquid.Drone really wants to get rid of the terran blockade as he hurls another group of dragoons and zealots, which are nicely cloned towards their respective targets might I add. Sadly for the protoss executor though, the zealots are dealt with swiftly by the tank/vulture combo.
Whirlwind continues to push towards the protoss main, arriving once again close to the mineral only. While laying down his mines, one of the vultures takes a shot at Drone's 12 zealots which are close to the natural. The zealots run up to the blockade, hoping to stop it before it's too late. Spider mines start popping up along their path, badly damaging the protoss warriors while the tanks in behind finish off what's left of their life.
Wishing to take advantage of Drone's losses in terms of units and wanting to hurt him economicly, Whirlwind loads up 3 vultures and 2 tanks and heads for the natural cliff. Once he gets there, he sieges his tanks and lays mines in the passage, in case any units come from below. Drone is ready for him though, as he loads up 2 zealots and a dragoon and drops them right above the terran force. Wasting no time at all, Whirlwind quickly unsieges his tanks and loads them up with his vultures and runs away as fast as those now-fast-because-of-gay-patch dropships can take him and drops them, unloading to the right of the mineral only expansion. They are joined by more tanks and vultures. The vultures lay mines and the tanks start pounding on the mineral only expansion. Irritated by Whirlwind's presence, Drone sends everything he's got at him, consisting of 4 zealots and 8 dragoons, kinda sad =(. A few units die to mines but most of them get by and start pounding on the tanks. Most of the terran army is back at the temple, meaning no support for the 4-5 front tanks who are easily destroyed. The dragoons continue towards the temple but hastily turn back once they meet up with many many tanks. Only 3 dragoons come out alive.
Whirlwind loads up 4 tanks, 2 vultures and a scv from his containement squad into 3 dropships and sends them towards the 9 o'clock main. There isn't much defense at the expansion, 1 zealot and 1 cannon are about all that stand between the probes and utter destruction. The dropships unload their cargo and the vultures quickly get to work, laying mines behind them. The lone zealot fights bravely until it is destroyed, but not without taking a tank with it. 4 reinforcing zealots arrive from the 9 o'clock natural choke but are very badly damaged by the spider mines and tanks, killing them before they do any significant damage. Finally, a shuttle arrives with 4 zealots, dropping them right besides a tank. They destroy the siege tank and move on to the other units, but they quickly hop aboard the dropships. Whirlwind tries to drop his units behind the mineral line but he can't seem to outmaneuver the zealots. Seeing the uselessness of it all, he retreats his remaining dropships towards the East. Drone started warping in a nexus at the 9 o'clock natural just before the battle. He also warps in a templar archives a moment after the battle is done.
A few seconds later, Drone sends a handful of zealots and a control group of dragoons towards the terran blockade (It's been 3467643 times and he still hasn't won =( ). He is able to destroy a tank at the cost of all his zealots (woohoo...). Drone moves his dragoons back as soon as he sees the sheer number of tanks he's up against, saving most of them from certain doom.
Remember the group of tanks and vultures that ran away from the 9 o'clock main? Well, they're back and right above the 6 o'clock mineral only. Luckily for Drone, 2 tanks and a vulture aren't too great against a whole army of protoss units. Easy win for the protoss warriors.
Whirlwind hastily moves up to the mineral only since half of Drone's units were in his main. 3 vultures lay down mines and 5 tanks siege just below the south eastern temple wall and start pounding on the expansion. They also have 6 tanks providing cover fire against any protoss unit who gets too close. Drone gathers whatever units he has and flanks the tanks with dragoons from the left side and a zealot/dragoon combo coming from the natural choke. Once again, Drone is battling to save his beloved mineral only expansion but isn't so lucky this time as the nexus blows up just before he attacks. Mines pop up and do major damage as tanks continue to bombard their enemies. Although he took major casualties, Drone was able to destroy whatever portion of the terran blockade had gotten past the southern temple walls.
Recap
Second recap:
liquid.Drone: 8 gateways. 2 functional expansions and 1 without any probes (9 natural). Troop count consisting of 9 zealots and 14 dragoons. Upgrades at 1/0/1.
dNC.Whirlwind: 5 factories with 1 more being built. 2 functional expansions. Starts a command center at the 3 o'clock natural and main. Troop count consisting of 7 vultures and 15 tanks. Upgrades at 0/0 with +1 attack upgrade almost done.
Late Game
Planning on taking out all source of income for Drone, Whirlwind sends 6 tanks and 3 vultures towards the 9 o'clock natural. the vultures lay mines behind them just in case, while the tanks kill the few zealots that they find. The expansion is quickly razed.
At the same time, Drone attacks the terran pimp squad consisting of 7 tanks, 3 of which are out of range, with 10 dragoons. Obstacles here and there obstruct the dragoons, giving the tanks an easier time. The protoss force is easily taken care of once again.

Whirlwind continues towards the 9 o'clock main where he meets up with 2 zealots and 2 dragoons. With some nifty vulture micro, the terran commander is able to take them out. The tanks siege and start attacking the probes. In a desperate move, Drone sends all his probes towards the tanks who start to unsiege. At the same time, 2 shuttles arrive and drop 3 zealots and 2 dragoons into the fray. The tanks are trapped within the probe circle of doom and die a painful death.

Whirlwind decides it's time for 1 last offensive, sending 9 tanks and 8 vultures strait into the natural choke, besides the mineral only. liquid.Drone has 4 dragoons and 5 zealots left of the mineral only, which are quickly sent towards the terran force. Wasting no time, the vultures quickly lay mines to the left the the tanks, providing all the cover needed as they blow up on every single zealot while the tanks deal with the dragoons. A few seconds later, a shuttle arrives with 1 zealot and 2 dark templars, which are dropped right besides the tanks. The dark templars destroy 2 tanks before they're revealed by a scan and utterly raped by the remaining forces. The terran commander continues to move towards the natural expansion while Drone tries his luck with 1 last attack consisting of 5 zealots and 4 dragoons inside 2 shuttles. Bad timing betrays him though as the dragoons arrive too late to assist the now dead zealots. With nothing between him and total destruction, liquid.Drone hops aboard a shuttle and leaves the planet, making dNC.Whirlwind the victor of this long fought battle.
Well, I hope you liked my battle report. Please tell me what you think of it in the comments section. Gimme tips plz :). Now I leave you with my so-so animated minimap:
