This is gonna sound lame but the truth is i just played an amazing game, didn't save replay cuz i was pissed after it, partner was pissed, too, and the other guys signed off. BUT it was the most exciting game i've EVER played in my 1.5 yrs of playing. Yes, this game was truly frostbitten asshole.
It took place on bloodbath after me and a friend decided to see how many games in a row we could pull off at bb. We play it a lot and probably win about 80% of the games we play on it. So here is the setup and teams and all:
Team Halo- Vuelvo-Halo...Zerg Team Whack- OldAsianPuppy...Toss Pdiddy-Halo...Toss ~Smackdown~...Terr
yeah so we are team halo, i am vuelvo btw, and we both stopped thinking about our streak, more like just getting one win, as soon as these guys joined the game.
Now normally i'd say recs mean nothing, but 1300-200 & 2000-800 either mean they do a hell of a lot of comp stomps, or they are at least somewhat decent.
So i started at the bottom left and Pdidy was at the bottom right. They were of course in the upper spots.
So i am going along, planning to 12 pool, get a sunk up as the pool is going, and go early gas on 13 or so. That would normally be fairly safe vs rush. My partner went 6 pylon, 8 gateway, and then 10 gateway, planning on rushing one. I suspect Asian went pylon, gate, gas, core, or something. Normally we would rush that, but in this instance, well, u will see y we couldn't pull it off.
I'm at about 9 supply, just starting an ovie, when 8 scv's pull up into my base. So i scramble about and try to micro my drones, but this guy was the absolute king of peon micro. (or maybe mine just blows) so he kills my whole armada of 9 and still has 5-6 left of his. my partner has a zealot on its way, and manages to kill off all but one of the scv's. which i finsih off with a drone that pops out a second later.
Right now i'm really praying because i have no mins and only one drone, so if he dies it’s all over for me.
So then I’m telling my partner to counter smackdown, but there wasn’t much need for it, for he had lifted off, and we assumed flown to his buddy’s base. Turns out he landed his cc right after my partner scouted, and I guess he had like 3-4scvs.. but anyway. I’m rebuilding, my partner has a whole bunch of goons and some storm and all, but the other guy has cannons and reavs at his entrance, so we don’t attack. I’m teching to mutas. So finally we decide to go, but just as we do, Asian comes in with a dt. I immediately banged my head against the wall 5 or so times, then began smashing the old keyboard over my partner, sitting in the same room next to me. See, I had not sent him a ovie, and he had no detection. So he begins losing probes, and his nexus is at about 5 health when the ovie gets there to kill off the dt. As the ovie was chuggin along at its rapid pace, I flew in with my newly aquired 6 mutas, and happily found 3 reavrs , 1 goon, and about 5 cannons…at his choke. So I proceded to rape his peon line sort of like a penguin does his wife. (if u have ever seen penguins mate u will understand what I’m saying) he pumps some goons out of his 3 gates, and when he has about 4 he comes in and I fly out, but I did considereable damage.
Late Game
So my partner goes to finish him off, and busts through his cannons and reavs with HEAVY casualties, like he has 2 goons and a zealot left, but its all good cuz orange has nothing. Then Smackdown flies in with 2 cloaked wraiths and kills my ovie, leaving them undectectable. He gets the nexus down to about 20 sheild, 5 health, b4 my next ovie gets there…. Which he kills then finishes off the nexus. What happens next is pretty much, I kill terr with like 4 hydras, then my partner states he is out of the game. (no money to build new nexus) then while my hydras are at terr, and my 6 mutas at home, Asian comes in with 1 archon, 1 goon, and with the help of blue’s 2 wriaths they kill my mutas, kill my hatchery, then my 4 hydras get home and kill them. I start a new hatch and go to finish off Asian, and I am slowly rippin up his base with 4 hydras when 8 marines rush in, stim, and right as I here “your forces are under attack” back at home, I look and see that my hatch is gone and I didn’t cancel it, so I cannot rebuild now. My partner sends 1 zealot and to finish off blue, and with the help of my hydras we kill the marines with one hydra and his zealot surviving.
So here’s whats happening at the moment: I am out of mins, have 1 hydra, my partner, is out of mins 1 zealot, Asian is out of game, nothing but an assload of buildings, Smackdown has nothing but a lifted rax, starport, and cc. As I am killing the c he lands his rax, out of my sight, builds 2 marines with his last remaining cash, and rushes in and kills my hyda. At this point EVERYONE has no cash, and my partner has 1 zealot. So terr lifts off, and we sit and wait, trash talking to tell the other team that each other has one and stuff like that, and that the other team should leave, with them sayin the same thing to us. So we got pissed and left. After playing the most horribly unaware game ever, not even checking in to see if Smack had rebuilt, and assuming he was in the base with his partner.
This game was the best game I have EVER played in, well, the closest I guess.
