Hello and and welcome to another Executer report. This report does have pics, but I'm mostly relying on my text for this report. Can you believe I had to crop all these images then align them with-in text? That kind of killed me.
I'm sitting around in NoHunters, thinking I should game, when my good friend Psyonic_Reaver enters the chat room. I ask him for a 1v1 and he agrees.

Map: Temple
Psyonic_Reaver (random) Orange Toss 12:00
Activate, me Executer (random) Brown Zerg 3:00

(Btw, I'm going to do this as a first-person report)

My brood barely manages to escapes Kerrigan's grasps and has run to the cold, fringe world of Braxis, in the Lost Temple Sector. Psychic eminations have revealed psyonic_reaver at 12 with a rusty, orange protoss. I quickly order up another drone and send my overlord scouting counter-clockwise, to the closest position, 12. On drone 9 I order up an overlord and my larva begins morphing.

My overlord enters the enemy base and finds a pylon. Shitz. I have played psy before and his zealot rushes own me every time. Of course, this time I'm not worrying and order up a hatchery on drone 11 at my choke just down the ramp. You should do this, so you can have defence at your choke, instead of farther back. I order up a spawning pool shortly after. I leave my overlord in psy's base and see dual gates warping.

My hatchery and pool finish at the same time and I order up 6 lings and one sunken at my choke. I begin an extractor. and order more drones and lings. Yes, the game is going a bit slow. =( With the scouting overlord, I now see zealots running out of the gateways, obviously in preparation of assault. Psyonic begins an assimilator in his main.

I begin an extractor and continue to pump drones. I add another sunken in my main and a hatchery at my natural. With that same scouting overlord, I see a cyb core warping in, so I fly my hatchery back home. Just as my ovie leaves his main, I see his probe begin a forge. A probe enters my choke, scouting me, but my sunkens kill it before it can climb my ramp.

I now start a hydra den, to power against his protoss. My favourite song is playing on my napster now and I'm finally in that groove. Music helps me play starcraft better. ^^ Anyways, I add another sunken, feeling uneasy and wait for the first move. And it comes quickly as four zealots and 2 goons come charging in. Would my sunkens fall? I doubt it, but I decide I want to send my 8 zerglings in anyways, and morph an extractor at my natural and order up some hydras.

A bloody battle ensues, as the zealot blades tear up zergling flesh and zerglings's sharp claws tear up the zealots shields, not even bothering to attack the goons. I don't care, because with the aid of 3 sunkens, his zealots go down easy. Any my new hydras and the wounded sunkens finish off the goons, with me losing 8 lings and a hydra. Psy loses 4 zealots and 2 goons.

I maynard some drones over to my natural and keep up hydra production. I begin hydra speed research first, because I feel hydra speed is more important than range. I scout his base with a zergling and find a goon and cannon on cliff. I keep one more zergling at his choke to spot for any attacks.

I begin a hatchery at the 6 main and keep pumping them hydras. I am almost ready for my first assault.

I send out 15-16 hydras or so to assault psyonic. By this time, psyonic has his army at his choke. It consists of some goons and many zealots. My forces engage the enemy ones. Shield points on zealots and goons start falling. It looks like my forces are going to win (yah, right) but I suddenly see a blur move a long. I think, shit DT. (But when I watched replay, it was just observer ;)). I finally order up a lair, so I can research ovie speed, for detection purposes.

I retreat my hydras thinking it really was dt and ready a larger force. I have an evo chamber up and begin researching range attacks +1. A scouting zealot spots my expansion at 6 and I curse. I begin a sunken at 6 to eliminate the threat. Then I send my hydras into the middle of the map, to defend both my 6 main and 3 main/natural.

Suddenly, I hear the speakers boom and the message pops out: "Your forces are under attack!" I quickly look to my mini-map and what do I see? Offensive cannons! - on my cliff. I'm in trouble. I only have ovie speed research and I need to research ventral sacs. All my drones die and I only retreat one. Now I am only relying on my expansion at 6 and my nearly dry 3 main.

I feel I need to spur up some damage too, so I do. I send all the hydras I have in the middle, about 30-60 of them, to assault orange. He only has a force of 10-12 zealots of so, some templar and a few goons. I know I'm going to win. Storms hit the air. And even as I try to micro, the zealots surround my forces and force me to stay in one position. My hydras escape and assassinate the zealots and goons. And before the temps can cast any more storms, I kill them too. My hydras spur into the 12 natural to do some damage.

Unfotunately, more zealots come and take my hydras out with ease. I keep pumping them and massing them at my choke. Research of ventral sacs is done and I load up some hydras into 4 ovies and ferry them to the south side of the south-west side of the cliff. I unload the hydras and I assault the cannons.

At the same time, 8-9 orange zealots come attack my 6:00 base. I have 2 lings and 2 sunkens in my 6 main. I manage to kill a few zealots, but he manages to kill my expo. I know the game is over now, but I am not giving up yet. I have no money left, so I decide to restock on drones. He keeps on harrassing with hydras, but each time I am able to fend his attacks off. But I'm losing hydras and have no money. =(

He comes charging into my main with a shitload of zealots while dropping some zlots, to annoy, in my main. It's over. I say "gg" and leave.

Lessons Learned (Supposedly):

*Scout More Often (Detection)* When I first assaulted psyonic with my hydras, and had some mobile detection right there, I would have owned him, as it was just an observer.

*Zerg Should Power* I should've grabbed more expansions earlier and powered against toss. After all, I could have gotten hydras and lings much faster than him getting temps.

*Scout (Again)* Later in the game, when he was massing zealots, I could have easily owned him with mutas because zealots can't hit air. Another importance of scouting.

*I Suck* I could have easily owned him any time in the game, but due to my lack of skills I could not. So I'm a newb, so what?

And that's it for now. Sorry, the pics may be screwed up, but I don't give up shit.

Long Live Starcraft,
Executer
