Yes it's that time of the month again ladies and gentlemen...and what time is that I hear you asking? Time for another Furious BR thats what time!

Today for your veiwing pleasure we have Australia's number 1 player Legionnaire! And representing the USA we have the underdog, Gate!

The stage is set. The map Lost Temple, the races Protoss. Now I know you are all about to click on the comments section and bitch about the map and the races, but before you do, read the report.

This is no normal PvP. This is packed with non-stop drop action like you've never seen, great micro and the game is close right down to the finish!
Lets Begin!!

The game gets underway with the opening message "Good Luck To You" because its such a friendly UMS map. Legionnaire warps in his brown nexus at 6:00 and Gate warps in his at 9:00.

Early builds are identicle with pylons on 8 and gateways on 10. Gate decides to scout in a clockwise direction with his gateway building probe.

Both player warp their Assimilators on 12 supply with Gate being a few seconds ahead of Legionnaire. Interestingly Legionnaire has yet to send a scouting probe.

At this point build orders differ. Gate warps in a second gateway and pylon on 13 supply whereas Legionnaire begins warping a cybernetics core on 14 supply.

Immediatly afterwoulds both players construct a zealot. On 18 supply Gate begins a cybernetics core while Legionnaire begins a pylon on 17 supply before warping in a robotics facility just as his pylon has completed.

Gate's scouting probe finally arrives at Legionnaire's base and is able to see Legionnaire's warping drop technology before being dealt with by a defending zealot.

Legionnaire then decides he had better scout himself and sends a probe to Gate's base nextdoor. Both players have been producing units from their respective number of gateways and have added pylons as needed.

Legionnaire begin warping a shuttle and robotics support bay as soon as his robotics facility is completed.

In anticipation of an early drop Gate positions all available Dragoons near his probe line as an anti-drop defense. Gate has also begun warping a robotics facility and a 3rd gateway.

Legionnaire's drop is soon ready when his reaver pops out. I am however taken by surprise when Legionnaire begins to shuttle his enitre army consisting of 2 zealots, 2 dragoons and a reaver over to an empty portion of Gate's base.

Legionnaire's drop arrives in force and with hefty Reaver micro dispatches of Gate's dragoons that were defending his probe line. Gate sends fresh troops in and they are able to fend off the assault but not before Legionnaire has slaughtered many of Gate's probes.

Legionnaire adds 2 more gateways back home and his shuttle speed upgrade is completed. Gate is still able to maintain production from 3 gateways despite the heavy damage his economy has sustained and he also sends some observers to Legionnaire's detectionless base.

Legionnaire has come to the conclusion that Gate was not hurt enough by his previous drop and loads up another reaver into a shuttle to wreak havoc amongst Gate's probe line. (It was barely 1 minute after the first drop)

The shuttle races past defending dragoons and lands the reaver at the back of Gate's probe line. A few scarabs are fired before both the shuttle and reaver were destroyed, however the damage was done. Gate only had 8 probes left mining after that drop.

Legionnaire adds a citadel of adun and another gateway, he is obviosly planning putting some serious pressure on Gate macro wise.

There is a brief lull in the action as Gate rebuilds his shattered economy while Legionnaire macroes his ass of!

Gate is tired of being abused by Legionnaire's punishing drops and makes preparations for a drop of his own. Before this can happen however, Legionnaire moves out his army and loads 4 zealots into a shuttle. This is noted by Gate and he sends all available dragoons to his choke point.

As Legionnaire's offensive hit he dropped 4 zealots into Gate's main and sends them into battle against the dragoons holding Gate's choke. Despite this manouvere, however, Gate's high-ground advantage and excellent micro proves the difference and Legionnaire withdraws his remaining troops.

Almost immediatly afterwoulds Gate loads up his shuttle with a freshly warped reaver, a dragoon and heads straight for Legionnaire's probe line.

Gate unloads his drop into Legionnaire's probe line and succeeds in killing off a few probes before they run away. At the same time, however, Legionnaire drops a reaver and 2 zealots into Gate's probe line and succeeds in doing more damage too Gate than Gate did to him.

During all this commotion both players begun expanding to their naturals. Gate goes on the offensive once again and drops a reaver at Legionnaire's freshly warped expansion, he is unable to kill any probes before reatreating however.

Gate continues to harass with his reaver and shuttle but does not succeed in doing any real damage. Both players have a damaged economy at this point and are taking time to rebuild their armies and economy.

Legionnaire decides the time for peace is over and moves his army out for a full on offensive. The battle rakes place in Gate's natural. Micro is intensive on both sides and Gate succeeds in halting the attack with only 3 dragoons remaining.

Legionnaire attempts a DT offensive but Gate has observers patrolling the entire map and it doesn't get very far.

With the failure of Legionnaire's last 2 offensives Gate feels that the time has come for him to seize the initiative and go on the offensive.

A short and bloody battle takes place and despite having 3 reavers in the battle Gate's attacking force is destroyed with some intensive reaver/shuttle micro by Legionnaire.

Legionnaire, feeling comfortable, has shuttled a probe to the bottom right island where he has begun warping in a nexus and some pylons. Legionnaire also attempts another reaver drop on Gate's natural but it get smacked down in record time by 2 defending reavers!

Both players are constantly monitoring the 12:00 and 3:00 expansions, Legionnaire attempts to expand to the 3:00 natural but is quickly spotted by Gate and Legionnaire is forced to cancel.

Legionnaire attempts yet another reaver drop on Gate's natural but Gate's security is very tight and the drop is stopped with only a few probes killed. Gate begun expanding to his mineral only while this was occuring.

Deciding the time was ripe Gate launches a MAJOR offensive against Legionnaire.

The 2 armies clash and both of Legionnaire's HT are assanited with a well placed scarab. Gate's soon gains the upperhand due to his 3 reavers and proceds to raze Legionnaire's natural to the ground.

Legionnaire receives fresh troops from his 8 gateways and pushes Gate from his natural. Legionnaire then decides to level things up a bit and launches a psi-storm raid on both Gate natural and his mineral only!

Legionnaire beguns to warp in a new nexus at his natural expansion while both players continue massing troops. Gateattempts to gain map control and moves his army into the center of the map. Legionnaire will have none of this however and hurls his entire army at Gate's blockade.

The armies collide, some blood is spilt but Legionnaire is wise enough to know when he is out gunned and he retreats into his main base and cancels his warping nexus. Gate is happy to contian Legionnaire to his main.

Due to his island base and his masterful raids Legionnaire still has the macro advantage and he quickly catches Gate in troop count. Legionnaire then grabs every available troop and attempts to end the game once and for all!

The massive armies collide and it is soon clear who the winner of the battle and the game is... Legionnaire!! Legionnaire procedes to raze Gate's mineral only and natural to the ground and Gate leaves the game.

I hope you all enjoyed this report (I sure enjoyed making it), remember to post lots of lovely little comments in the comments section!
