The daffodil's look lovely today
On Tuesday, September eleventh, of the two thousand and first year, a terrible and unspeakably atrocious act of cowardice was committed upon the soil of the United States of America. Upon the cities of New York and Washington. Upon the men and women aboard those ill-fated flights, and within those buildings. Upon the United States of America.
In tribute to the victims of this tragedy, I have acclimated myself to writing this article. To show my support in the best way I know how in this time of crisis, as America slowly rebuilds, and we will rebuild. In respect to the senseless loss of innocent life, I urge everyone to show their support even if it is to merely wave the flag for everyone to see.
"Silenced by death. ." -Dolores O'Riordan
We as a nation shall never be wholly silenced. We shall lend voice to those whom had theirs so abruptly taken from them, and it shall be unforgiving. We shall rally our friends, neighbor's, and allies, for we will not be silenced. We will not go silently into this good night. We will go on.
"My hatred of my fears, They begin to release. My fear of war, My hatred of peace." -Me |
At a time such as this we are understandably quick to anger. This must not be an excuse for bigotry. Our children must be able to look back at this moment in history and be proud, we did not show the same indifference for innocence that was portrayed by these cowardly acts. Do not allow your hearts to be overwhelmed by fear and hatred. Stand United. Every race, creed, and descent, for we are Americans!
"I have decided to start things from here. Thunder and lightning won't change what I'm feeling. And the daffodil's look lovely today." -Dolores O'Riordan |
We must now rebuild. Our actions in this time must be a testament to others of our will to go on. Our strength through this adversity shall be a beacon unto the future that we will always prevail, and once again be able to admire the flowers even as they bloom from beneath the debris. We will persevere. And as we go on to honor the families, volunteers, and victims of this tragedy, hold your heads high, For We Are Americans!
For the members of BR.com I have added the following to my article...
Start Music
And an excerpt from a piece written by me nearly three years ago. . .
...Can this be an end or a beginning? A visionary of greatness, Or, Life eternal as the wretched plague scours the land. Sleep again, Sleep again. Can I awake from these chains? Free myself from this nightmare? Tonight I fall to the top, So I can step down, Tomorrow. Begin again, Begin again... -Me |
