Counterstrike. Starting from the betas it took the Internet gaming world by storm. A delicate game where you’re supposed to use teamwork to complete specific tasks, whether it be planting a bomb, or escorting a VIP. This was fine with me, until I visited theCLQ.com. This nasty little site ranked you, rated you, and told you your FRAGS PER MINUTE. At that time mine was a crappy .34, while my friends were nearing 1. Well I couldn’t allow this, and thus started playing Counterstrike more carefully, more focused, more hardcore. At first I did what I always did, followed my team, picking up frags by getting lucky when five of us were firing at one. But then I realized, this isn’t the way. You got to go solo, go RAMBO like so many players have said. It led to much more deaths than before, but once in awhile I’d be able to kill a group of opponents alone, with no annoying teammates taking my frags. This is how I beat one frags per minute, Rambo-style. Oh and if you don't like Counterstrike or don't know it, then don't rate this please. This report is for people who already know the basics of Counterstrike~.

This was the second game I played, the first round that I started from the beginning. This server was a 35 minute server, called CS Anywhere. It was an average server with gosu players dropping in from time to time. I double randomed (Team and skin), and spawned as Terrorist on Dust. Dust is the most overplayed map in the history of Counterstrike, reminds me of Lost Temple(BGH?). It’s a bomb defuse map, with bombsites at the CT spawn and at the left of the map. In this map speed is key, and usually the one who could bunnyhop the best would win. Usually it would be the race to the left bombsite, but once in awhile the Terrorists would give up and camp outside the tunnel (Which is stupid).

When I first joined the pistol round had just ended. I only had $800 and decided to go without buying anything. Usually people buy a deagle, but I found that I could dodge all the bullets and then run in for the kill with my pistol (Something I’ve practiced many times with the Five-Seven). I ran in the tunnel and saw another Terrorist shooting it out with a CT near the crates. As I began to help him out we both got hit from the back by a CT named “HAHAHAHA”. Oh well, Terrorists won anyways. The second round started, and I bought an MP5, and other accessories (Armor and grenades). This time I headed for the right side and peeked out of the door, hoping to catch the some CTs off guard. I didn’t see any so I headed to the big open field between the tunnel and the CT base. There a CT was standing around and I shot him down. After that kill I heard some firing nearby and jumped off the ledge to the bottom, which was a path under the building, referred to as bridge. I landed on a crate to see a CT in front of me shooting it out with a Terrorist on the other side. Having his back turned to me I ran into him MP5 blaring and the round was ours. Seeing how easy this was I switched teams to CT. The round started and I bought the same equipment as before with an MP5. In this round I hopped to the bombsite to see if the Terrorists started rushing. One Terrorist came out and I promptly wasted him. Another Terrorist came from behind me but it looks like he forgot to reload! He took out his pistol and shot me while retreating behind some crates. Having put himself in an extremely vulnerable position, I took out my MP5 and nailed him from a jump off the ledge, then took his Sig Commando( Badass gun). After taking him out I camped the tunnel. My eye caught a Terrorist running to the far side entrance. I managed to just barely take him down and we won. Now I was starting to get my rhythm as I headed for the left tunnel entrance. A CT in front of me ran in and died, but it gave me the precise location of where the T was. I ran in and jumped where he would see me so his trail of gunfire would follow me but not hit me, and he was taken down. I was still partly damaged so instead of braving the entrance I headed back to the bridge where I waited until “Counter-Terrorists Win!” popped out. Next round I kept all the equipment from the round before, except for damaged armor. I headed for the bridge but saw a camper with a magnum, so I instead went to the left entrance to the tunnel. I threw a bang in, waited, ran in but no Ts were there. A shootout occured at the T side entrance of the tunnel which we won except I got no frags. As we headed out only the magnum camper was seen near the crates in the left. He was doing the hit and hide technique so I ran towards him, timing when he would pop out. As I got nearer and nearer I got a flashbang out, flashed him and then shot him down. There still was one more Terrorist left who was camping the bridge with a Sig. Using a shoot and hide method(I stay behind a crate. Strafe out predicting where he is, fire for a split second, then hide again. As long as the opponent stays still its quite an easy skill because humans don’t have the reflexes) I damaged him greatly. After a bit of that I got bored and shanked the bastard, Rambo style 0_o. Next round was pretty easy because the Terrorists got predictable. I entered the middle tunnel entrance hoping to catch Terrorists with grenades in their hands. Instead a bang flew at me which I avoided by looking away, and when the T thought it’d be safe to run I ran out and nailed him in the mouth. Feeling bold I rushed out to the T base but got raped by the campers. Still it was our victory. It was obvious we were controlling the game so I was planning on joining T the next round. I rushed the tunnel and saw no Terrorists. It was obvious they all resorted to camping outside the tunnel. No problem, I caught two Terrorists running across the entrance and shot both of them down.

Now the hard part, taking out the campers on the wall. I slowly peeked out in one direction and saw a Terrorist camping a few meters off the wall. Using the shoot and hide method he was dead but soon after another T rammed into my back with an AK. As promised I joined Terrorist and started scolding them for not rushing.

We lost that round but the next round we would win, hopefully. A rush would definitely catch the CTs off guard and it’d be an easy victory right? Wrong! The faggot Terrorists still thought it’d be cool to camp, so I was stuck alone rushing the bombsite but got AUGed midway. We got raped that round. Still I was rich, and bought myself I beautiful Sig. This time we won because the Ts rushed, but I didn’t get any frags. Still it was good to find that the Terrorist would soon be controlling the game, allowing me to do more bold acts to the cowering CTs. I rushed to the right and nailed three CTs, two near the wall and one sniping.

I rushed to the right and nailed three CTs, two on the wall and one sniping. Soon there was only one CT left who got me inside the tunnel but of course one of my followers cleaned up. The CT was some Soprano character. This guy did the same thing last round, going bridge and being the only remaining CT. ‘Well he won’t the next round’ I said to myself as I bought a magnum to snipe him off. I ran to the bridge slope and waited.

Five minutes later, “Terrorists win!” Doh, he didn’t go bridge. He didn’t next round either so after waiting a couple minutes I headed down the slope to at least snipe off the CTs that always camped on their ledge. Bingo, I got one. I ran up the slope and headed for the bombsite to fortify it but on the way there a CT was firing at me with an MP5. Not bothering to scope I just fired. Now if the crosshair was still there he would be my bitch, but because they took it out of the magnum there was a bit more trouble. I fired once but got nothing. Hopping around, I waited for the reload as my health steadily fell from his MP5. Then I realized that the idiot was running right at me! Having had previous experience testing the crosshair-less magnum, he was blown away. No scope magnum - 1 Idiots - 0. The round was over. Once I was done laughing at him I took my magnum and headed into the right tunnel side entrance. I arrived there fast enough to see a CT running to the sniper’s nest with a grenade so he was gone.

Then I went to the bombsite and came across a camper CT...with an AUG. Now this I knew for sure that I had only one shot at, and it was an extremely lucky one. I hit the edge of his foot, and since he was already injured he died. No scope magnum - 2 Idiots - 0. Muhahahaha. We won and I restocked on my accessories and rushed to the bombsite because I had the bomb. I soon met a CT at the bombsite who I took down with my glock (Idiot tried to autoshottie me from a distance). The others had camped inside the tunnel and were ripped apart. Pretty soon only Viper and I remained for our team, and I had no idea where he was. I sent a quick “Regroup team!” to get him to join me as I finished planting. I went off to the corner to camp and soon met HAHAHA, who got me with his AUG. Pissed off, I clicked around in free look mode to see where Viper was. Fucker was still at Terrorist base, away from keyboard. They defused the bomb and won, but I’m still rich. I bought another SIG with accessories (AK just doesn’t do the job when fighting off more than one person), and went to the shadows inside the tunnel. Soon CTs came pouring in. This reminded me of this time when the Terrorists were losing horribly, so I rushed to the corner while all the CTs ran around me fighting the camper Ts. I literally threw a HE grenade right in the middle of them, and they didn’t notice a thing! I took down four before they recognized it. In the next game, however, one CT found out and silenced me with his colt. We got 0wn3d as no CTs died that round.

Needing to rush(Plus affording only an AK), I yelled at my teammates, but no dice. I rushed to the bombsite and saw a CT with an AUG. A quick circle strafe put him to rest as I took his gun (Circle strafe w/ AK is unstoppable). Right when I was going to head to the field I started getting hit by a CT in the tunnel. I retreated right, took out my HE, and nailed the bugger (Damn Formics).

I headed inside to take his colt and camped at the entrance to the CT base with a partner. He died but I managed to take down two wandering CTs thus winning the game. The next round was beyond easy as Correntino was seriously laying it down with his deagle. I rushed right while he rushed left. I took down a CT sniper and the round was over. Disappointed at the pathetic opposition, I switched again to CT. I rushed the middle entrance and took down two rushing Terrorists before a third one AKed me. In the end, only the afk Victor was left who the admin slapped around while the other CTs practiced their aim. So now taking control of the tunnel was the focus of the game. I bought a colt with accessories and rushed to the bombsite while throwing a smoke grenade in the middle entrance. Inside the tunnel my fellow Counter Terrorists were getting killed, while I took down a Terrorist from the tunnel/bombsite entrance. While I waited for more Ts to come I heard the “Bomb Planted!”. I immediately headed for the CT base taking one down on my way there. At the entrance I moved across the door giving the illusion that I would attack them from the side, and then moved back to the middle. The corner of my eye caught two Terrorists running to the side to meet me. I threw a flashbang first so the now 2v1 would be a bit easier, and then ran in. A blind Terrorist was on the side of the door, which I easily nailed. And there it was. Number 35. One frags per minute in this 35 minute server. But no! There was still a job to do! As I headed for the bomb I saw another T fall into the little corridor next to the spawn area. I jumped on top of him and nailed him midair. Unfortunately by then the bomb was near exploding so I bhopped my ass outta there, surviving. The two other Terrorists were not to be found. The next round I ran with my pistol to the tunnel through the middle, saw a couple Ts, took out my Colt, saw it had no ammo, switched back to my pistol, nailed a Terrorist on the head, then died to the second. The terrorists would go on to plant a bomb and detonate it before the CTs could do anything. So finally the Terrorists were rushing. I bought my Colt and blah and hopped to the site along with my other CTs. We waited for the Ts to come out when I saw a fellow CT get his head blown off. Correntino was sniping. Knowing we had no chance I ran back out to the field, taking out a T on the way. I saw another T running away into the middle of the tunnel and I chased him in until I remembered. ‘Oh shit!’ I thought but it was too late, I was a goner.

Unlike me the other CTs got smart and ran in from the left side completely engulfing the Ts. We won! Next round I only bought an AUG with accessories minus the HE seeing how my money was nearing $1500 after the purchases. Usually I buy an MP5 with grenades and armor in this situation but there wasn’t anything the AUG couldn’t do that the HE grenades couldn’t. I hopped to the left side, threw a bang in, and prepared to run in when a T came out and got me. In the end it was Correntino verses PimpGod, but it was obviously Correntino’s game. Now my ass was seriously broke, and losing that round didn’t help. Pissed off, I bought a colt and armor and headed for the bridge. I saw a magnum sniper so I ran back up and fought in the tunnel. My teammates cleared it up and now only the sniper Correntino and Victor were left. I decided to come from the right side to surprise Correntino while checking to see if Victor was afk. He wasn’t but I saw him standing next to Correntino near the crates. Fuck them they died. After sniping Victor’s head off, Correntino died to my allies and we won the round. Next round was my favorite and funniest moment in my Counterstrike career. At first I headed to the tunnel, taking down two Ts inside plus a third behind the big crate. Only one T camper was left so I charged outside to see where he was. On the top of the slope stood a Terrorist using a gun so unused that I had to research its friggin name, G3/SG-1 Precision Sniper Rifle. This piece of crap automatic sniper rifle is so fucking lame and expensive, whoever uses it is labeled newbie from the start. I jumped off the ledge to join a fellow CT who was running up the slope at the sniper. The Terrorist was shooting at the other CT, and taking him down! Knowing he was in double zoom mode, I took out my knife and prepared to slash him. Instead of taking out his pistol, he turned around and started running! ROFLMAO his heavy ass forced him to try to hide behind a crate while I followed up and shanked him. It’s funny to chase people.

Next round was stupid as I bought a magnum and camped bridge while the other CTs won. Same old same old. Now with only a minute left it was time for the last round. I bought the usual and headed for the bridge to again try sniping. A Terrorist named CodeT was hopping down who I sniped off. Afterwards I charged up the slope, looked at the score sheet, and saw only me, Correntino, and a buddy CT. Inside the tunnel I saw Correntino run to the left, and my buddy ran to the right. It was obvious that I ran to the left to run the T down from the back. Picking up a Colt, I chased him, closer and closer to run his ass over when suddenly... It was over. 42 frags, I broke it my goal by seven, Rambo style.
