The game starts off very bad for me. I screw by peons up right off the bat. 3 of the bastards are trying to gather from one minerals patch. AARRRGGGHHHH!!
I'm playing on a CPU at work so things are kinda different to me to say the least.
I finally get my econ going and slam a depot, barracks, and hit the gas. An academy is next on the list for M&M's and vision. Thats right M&M's on islands. Another barracks and a factory are also on order.
My factory gets finished and I start to debate on whether I should research seige mode. I have not found him yet so i dont know if its mutas or hydras that are coming.
Just to be safe I research seige mode anyways. I finally locate him beside me in the bottom with my last place to find him. He is getting double lairs. Hydras are the soup of the day. Hydras and noodles remind me of chicken noodle soup cause hydras taste like chicken.
SAYING HELLO:
A VERY, VERY quick 12 hydras come over and kill my marine that i had patroling my island boarder. I que up marines from my two racks and build another tank and slam a bunker as fast as my little mouse will go. I have walled off my base so the hydras just sit back and spit at my marines and barrack while my lone seige tank blasts away at them.
I had my E. bay floating above my tank. I think thats the only thing that saved me. Directed fire onto the tank would have got me maybe, I think.
I go into panic mode. building troops and expanding like a madman. I slam a 3rd racks and get a sci facility. Dropships are ordered up and a 2nd E. bay is put down for upgrade purposes. I scan to see he has expanded and is putting up canals to each base. I have only two wraiths for map watching and they run into a pack of hydras on the small island between us. He is expanding again!!!!
SHIT HAPPENS:
As I see this, I have expanded to the large middle island on the right. Hydras are dropped there and alas I dont have but a handful of marines there with my 2 CC's and 2 barracks. He destroys it all before I can do anything good about it. :( This hurts me bad seeing that it was my only expansion.
Now im hurting. I upgrade my marines to 2/2 now and get a sci vessel with irradiate.
