1 game was played before this one, this was a rematch game where in the last one Knight and DaNew won. In which it was too pathetic a game to even post up here. So I had to write ANOTHER Battle report =)
Iron, having just infested the area with his hatchery, went extractor first while sending his overlord to scout the 9:00 and then redevouz with his ally, the terran commander Stratacus9, at the 12:00 to provide detection. After the extractor morphed, Iron began construction of a spawning pool. Meanwhile Strat went depot on 8th then decided to attempt a triple rax. Knight went rax before the depot which delayed the construction of more SCVs. While DaNew went double gateway and began producing zealots.
Stratacus9 went gas about 45 seconds before Knight, however that gas would prove useless for Stratacus. Stratacus is caught with his pants down by a zealot rush. The truly sad thing is he 'had' 3 rax but as the marines were trained and were sent out on the battle field, they were horrified to see that commander stratacus had neglected the construction of bunkers. They were also horrified 3.157 seconds later to see Psi Blades punching through there chests.
Meanwhile back on Iron's ranch, he has teched to lair and was obviously lurker rushing, which a nomandic probe of DaNew's stealthfully discovered. While DaNew was trashing Stratacus, he had teched to core. Having seen the Quad-lurkers, he quickly started to produce cannons. Had Iron had known of DaNews lack of detection, he could have almost certainly laid his main to waste. However Iron turned his sinister eyes towards Knight, who was more than well equiped to handle a lurkers. Having 2 bunkers and 3 seige tanks at the ramp made a more than adequate anti-lurker. A very VERY noble (or stupid... in my opinion the later of those 2) zergling discovered this and hollared out. "Reck Reck Urg Urg Spit Spit Rec Re....!"
(Translation... :Reck Reck Urg Urg Spit Spit Rec ReDEAD!")
Having seen this, Iron decided that it would be best to 'drop in' on him. Meanwhile, Stratacus having been humiliated reluctantly lifted his CC during the onslaught and flew to the top left island. As I'm sure most players know, it is almost always futile to lift your CC and fly away. Prolongs the enidible.
DaNew has just warped in a Robo facility and an observatory and begins the construction of observers.
Iron was first to expand to his natural. While his hatchery was morphing he attempted his lurker drop. Seeing something wasnt right Knight position 3 tanks in the heart of his base. Sure enough 4 lurkers came running out of the fog of war and met heavy resistance. "Live live live live DEAD."
Meanwhile Knight drops 4 marines on poor ole Stratacus's island and manages to kill 1 marine and 6 scvs after stimming twice. Stratacus once again tries to flee in terror from the marines but doesnt make it. Poor Stratacus =(
Irons expansion is discovered by DaNew's 12 wandering zealots. And is quickly laid to waste. But, it wasnt a total cakewalk. Unbeknownst to DaNew was that the expansion hatchery was morphing 3, combat ready, super drones. Yes, u heard me.. super drones. While the 12 zealots hammered the hatchery the 3 drones hatched. Finding themselves in quiet a predicament, fought gallantly and bravely and engaged the 12 evil zealots. Reports say they managed to trip a zealot.
Then, a massive tank push by Knight leaves Iron feeling a lil... disgruntled. And in his last desperate attempt he proceeds to 'drone drop' Knight....... =)
