(Note: Think of this boring interlude as something to take up your time while the pics load, and there are sort of a lot of pics..)
Once upon a time, on lurker.broodwar.com , I took it upon myself to try my hand at one of those nifty battle reports. Being somewhat adept in Photoshop, I figured I could make it look decent. I sent a message or three to Gosu~Nation’s October, asking if I could observe a game to report. He told me to go and join a game, which was to involve Gix, October, and I think it was Cosmo (sorry, I don’t recall) in a 2vs2. I join and find myself in a non-OBS Lost Temple.. Gix hates me, so he immediately types “Ban ravage!!” and I leave before anyone gets the chance to, knowing it isn’t an obs map, and that I’m not wanted T_T. I close StarCraft, thinking I’ll BR a game some other day, when October IM’s me and tells me to join in. I decline, promising to BR a game later in the day. Will wonders never cease: a few hours later, October invites me to Obs a 1vs1 of him and another Gosu Nation member-- Juju. After waiting an hour for Seeka and his gosu-as-hell NetZero to join the game (as a fellow observer), we get the game started.. And now I am proud to present:

Kind of annoying that that pretty picture above is the only one that isn’t set to look seamless against a black background, but hey, people say it’s purdy, so I use it.. ^_^
On to the game itself--
And now, a brief intro about our players:
October:
A Gosu~Nation member who whups my Zerg with his Toss, it’s people like this guy who make me lose self esteem when playing StarCraft. Until further notice, all I really know about him is that he is 20 years old, and is a nice guy (or at least he is to me, see the little rant/intro up there) October > Gix yo! ^_^
Juju:
Another member of Gosu~Nation, I knew absolutely nothing about Juju before obs’ing the games, except that he is in GSN, so he’s got to be good (I'm sure someone's gonna laugh at that part? :P).. Juju would like to give a shout out to his buddy Jimmy: "Jimmy look i'm in a battlereport."
Observers:
Ravage (yeah that’s me): New to the whole “SCN/SCL scene”, I’ve been playing since BW came out but haven’t actually gotten decent until about two months ago. Like I said this is my first BR, so I was sort of excited about the game.
Seeka: Gosu~Nation member who probably bribed Cosmo to get in, because he sucks at SC and pretends to know Photoshop (j/k ^^) He’s a pretty cool guy, and his uhmm.. commentary throughout the games is good for a laugh tho^^.
Juju commands a Zerg army, starting at the 3-o’clock position, while October warps in a Nexus at 6-o’clock. Juju sends an overlord scout to 12, while October warps in a Pylon and sends the probe he used off to scout 9.
Juju spawns another Overlord at 9/9 supply, and builds a Hatchery under his ramp. He gets two more drones and begins a Spawning Pool. Looks like a typical early expand build. For those who don’t now this map all too well (Ok, you HAVE to know this map..) the reason for the Hatchery under the ramp is to be able to build Sunken colonies that protect both the player’s main and natural expansion.
October warps a pylon at 8, a Gateway at 10, and an assimilator soon after. Rather than go the "usual" route and get Zealots or Dragoons, October takes a risk, saving up 400 minerals to warp in a Nexus at his natural. At about the same time, his scouting probe finally discovers Juju’s base, and he finds the two unfinished Hatcheries.
There is a brief pause in the action as the ever-ominous Seeka asks the question we all want answered, and the reply comes from Juju:
Juju however, spots October's early expansion attempt with a scouting overlord , and he immediately dispatches Zerglings to wreak havoc.
Despite attempts at killing the Zerglings, October finds himself overwhelmed, as Juju presses his advantage, using his three Hatcheries to constantly produce Lings, and not allowing October to recover.
Game Over: Juju wins, and October asks for a rematch.
Game 2 begins with both players warping in a Nexus, with October at 12, and Juju once again at the 3 o clock position.
In an interesting twist of events, both players warp in a pylon at 8, and scout each other on the first attempt. They both follow it up with Gateways, and then Assimilators, all the while maintaining seemingly identical build orders. Both players then warp in a Cybernetics Core, and follow it up with a Citadel of Adun.
In the first deviation in builds so far, October builds a Forge, while Juju goes for a more aggressive second Gateway.
 Templar Archives are then warped in by both sides, and October sends a Dark Templar to Juju’s base, heading straight for his defenseless mineral line. The Dark Templar goes on to annihilate Juju's base.
Juju sees his situation and goes for an all-out assault on October’s main, sending in Zealots, Dragoons, and his two newly produced Dark Templar. As he is doing this he resumes mining at his Natural, setting up a Forge and a couple of Pylons.
Seeka directs a taunt at Juju, only to eat his words as he sees the force Juju sends in. Seeka then pulls a Britney.
Juju’s attack is met up with some resistance in the form of two cannons overlooking October’s ramp, a couple High Templar that didn’t have Psionic Storm researched yet, and a Dragoon. Having no detection, Juju finds his forces destroyed by the same Dark Templar that had earlier destroyed his main base.

Despite this, however, Juju managed to destroy ALL of October’s probes, completely halting his economy.
October’s surplus in minerals and gas allow him to build up a small force consisting of two Dark Templar and two Dragoons, and sends them out towards Juju’s natural. However, three Photon Cannons drive off the attackers. He then opts to build up his economy again, and concentrates on Probe production for a bit.
Meanwhile, Juju tries desperately to tech to greater things, setting up two Gateways, a Robotics Facility, an Observatory, a Citadel of Adun and a Templar Archives. How, you wonder, does he manage to get all this and still be alive despite having no ground troops?
His nice little grid of Photon Cannons has kept October, having rebuilt his Probes and flush with resources from not having to defend his base, shuttles in a Probe to Juju’s cliff, to cannon in the poor turtle.
Juju, finding his Probes barraged by Photon fire, drops an Archon and Dragoon, hoping to destroy the Turbo Newbie before October can send reinforcements.
October, however, anticipates this, and already had a Dragoon and Dark Templar en route via Shuttle.
Seeing his drop destroyed, his island discovered by a wandering Shuttle, and resource gathering halted, Juju offers a “GG“ and departs, and prepares for the all-important game 3.
The Final Scores..
Lessons Learned:
(-) Making BRs is time-consuming..
(+) October and Juju are nice guys :)
(+) In a DT rush vs DT rush, whoever gets detectors first wins..
(+) Since Juju won game 1 with a "rush", and October won 2 seemingly by luck, game 3 is going to be the *real* kicker.
Well guys, that was my first shot at a BR, so please leave some advice (especially you guys who've gotten good scores in the past).. I'd really appreciate it.
I will post game 3 by itself, as it's VERY long, and if those pics were added to these, well.. People without LAN connections would hate me even more. Note that game 3 is also the best game by far..
Oh yeah, I will be expecting a decent score (or at least some good comments, hehe..) since this isn't a fan-fic ^_^
