"FLS, I will hunt you down to the ends of the earth. There is no place small, dark, and damp enough to hide your wretched carcass. And when I find you, your grandson will rather have his private parts infested with the fleas of a thousand camels than hear of your horrible fate."

God^Nerd VS Kohog
The following battle report demonstrates the importance of anti air combat when fighting against zerg air. Our two competitors, Kohog (White zerg), and God^Nerd(Blue terran) agree to no attacking for 20 minutes.
The map is a custom map by the name of Apocalypse 5, made by -=Lethal=-
The Starting Positions: (Kohog@6:00,God^Nerd@12:00)

Both competitors make numerous workers throughout the entire game.

Build Orders (first 10 minutes)
God^Nerd starts with 8 scv, supply depot, barracks, supply depot. Shortly afterwords, he makes a refinery and an academy at roughly the same time, but for some odd reason he cancels the academy and chooses to make a second refinery instead, followed by the academy he had intended to make. He makes a Comsat and sweeps the top left starting location, only to find an empty base. After about 2 mins pass, he suddenly makes 5 factories all at once. Later, he makes a Starport, ANOTHER factory, an armory, and a science facility. Note that he is constantly making supply depots and scvs to keep his resources in good supply.

Kohog starts with an early spawning pool, followed later by a hatchery at his choke point. He then goes with an extractor, upgrades to lair, and starts filling numerous sunken colonies in his entrance. He makes 2 more hatcheries in his main, a spire, a queen's nest, upgrades to hive, makes another hatchery, another extractor, and upgrades to greater spire. Like, he constantly makes workers and supply, but he is also constantly making more and more hatcheries to spawn his minions.

At the ten minute mark, God^Nerd has numerous factories producing tanks and goliaths, while Kohog has sealed off his entrance with sunkens. It is obvious that he is intending to go with a massive fleet of guardians and devourers.

Further Preparations (the last 10 minutes)

God^Nerd finally comsats Kohog, and finds his many guardians. Suprisingly, he doesnt make any changes in his plans, and he continues making mass tanks and goliahts. I was also surprised to see that he had not been making any wraiths or valkyries for air support, so I concluded that he was confident in his goliaths. However, the goliaths were outnumbered when compared to the guardians 3 to 1.

Kohog has 10 hatcheries running, numerous drones working, and mutalisks constantly being spawned. Both armies are growing in number. Kohog's overlord has been scouting for quite some time now, and finally comes across God^Nerd's main. Soon after it is destroyed by goliaths.

The Showdown

The 20 minutes are over, and Kohog moves his massive army towards God^Nerd's main. God^nerd has positioned his goliaths and tanks close to his entrance. The armies collide!

The goliaths and guardians fight courageously against each other, but in the end, the guardians' sheer power and number prove to overcome. Seeing no way to overcome Kohog, God^Nerd concedes and leaves the game.

God^Nerd was in a good position to counter these guardians. Had he made more goliaths and fewer tanks, he might have been able to put Kohog in check, and maybe even win later on in the game. However, he seemed to lack speed and skill in this battle. Kohog is the victor, and God^Nerd agrees to buy the kegs of beer for the party that night.
